I got this for my son's father-in-law, who has (and worships) a pug. The kicker is that my son lives in Japan, and his in-laws live in a remote farming village, farming rice for a living (for generations). When you give a remote Japanese rice farmer something like this, well, it's fun to watch. You get the best puzzled look ever, like "what is this," and "why would anyone even think to make something like this," and "why would anyone make this," and "why would anyone buy this, what is up with Americans anyway," and "how does this work," and "why would anyone do this..." I mean, all of that is way better than the gift itself. They laughed themselves sick using it, though.

My 6 and 7-year-old grandchildren could not use these puppets. Although the idea is great, and it looks adorable, the finger holes were much too large and the pieces kept falling off their fingers. Also, the head, which goes on the middle finger, only faces straight downward as that finger cannot be lifted. The picture shows the hand facing upwards, but when trying to place the hand downward so that the dog or cat can "walk," the head faces downward toward the ground. Definitely would not recommend.

Very cute, but difficult to use because the finger puppets are all the same size and most fingers aren't. These fit well on thumbs.

The holes you put your fingers in are designed for an adult male -- neither my kid (the gift recipient) nor I can actually work it that well as a result. But it was funny as a stocking stuffer and my kid doesn't seem super disappointed.
