These are ok. The do the job of preventing the towel from being blown off by the wind but they are not strong enough to keep it in place at all times, especially if you move around. On a sand beach, I was able to get them in the sand only about 3/4 of their length.

Great product and a great company to deal with.Its unusual these days to order from a company that cares about its customers but Simpler Life does.It was an inexpensive product that I purchased yet they cared more about my opinion of them and the product than anyone I've dealt with in years.The product,Anchor Stakes for Beach Towels,worked out great.Several people noticed them and asked where they could get them.Great experience all the way around.The stakes work great and are easy to use.In harder sand I simply held the stake and used a twisting motion back and forth.The clips held the corners even with 20mph gusts on the beach.The alligator looking clips were a big hit with the kids.Wouls definitely recommend.

Used it once in the grassy part on the beach. Works great. I find it was easier to insert them into the ground at an angle as opposed to straight down. Everyone around me commented on them.

Stakes worked great. The spike is sturdy and held itself in the sand well. The jaws didn't really clamp down on our sheet very tightly, but turning the stake 90 degrees and twisting up the corner of the sheet/towel to make a knot worked well. We'll probably contribute l continue to buy these whenever they wear out or get lost. Good product at a reasonable price.

Haven't tried yet, but not sure they would hold up using them in grass or hard dirt areas.

There cheap plastic. You cant oush them down far enough to be flush with the ground. You have to dig a hole in order to make it flush.you cant hit them in with a rubber mallet or they break. The clamp isnt strong enough to hold it from the wind. Better off throwing your chairs and flip flops to weigh it down.

I bought these for a trip to the beach. They worked great! I used them with a beach blanket I had purchased elsewhere and they did the trick. All my friends wanted to know where I got them and got a kick out of calling them alligator clips. It would be nice to have other options like flip flops or something but that's not a deal breaker in my book.

Delivered quickly, and met the description. The strength of the clamps is fairly weak. We used them to hold a flat sheet... and then added towel to what was clamped. Still weak. Better than nothing though.
