It Was Dead On Arrival

I bought this as a gift for my sister for Christmas a few years ago. When she had opened up the packaging, all was seemingly fine. We tried to get it to work, but it was totally broken. Nothing we could do. I looked it up online, and supposedly almost all of these arrive at their destination faulty. So be wary, I wouldn't take the risk. But hey, my stupid sister didn't deserve it anyway. The morning after Christmas she woke my Mom up and went full agro and told her how pathetic and worthless we are and how ashamed she is of being related to us and that she never wanted to see us again. So as soon as I woke up, we're being forced outside into the freezing cold of Ohio with nowhere to go. We live in Los Angeles so it took a lot of effort getting back home in one piece. My Mom is dead inside to this day. She's never going to see her daughter again. Sorry I'm ranting here, I'm sure if the panda worked it would've all worked out okay.

Mangled packaging, came broken, and had no English instructions.

Giving a neutral 3-star review to be fair.

Within the Amazon box, the product came in a fragile plastic enclosure that was damaged in transit. It didn't seem designed for travel. Upon opening the product, it turned out that the mechanism that caused the cat to grab the coin was broken-All the device would do is meow upon putting a coin in the slot without actually grabbing it. I wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong or had to set something up so I referred to the instructions, however they weren't in English at all. I love the concept of this product but the fact that it was damaged and poorly packaged soured the experience for me. I ended up returning the product via Amazon's return system. I'd try for another go but I'm a bit wary. Let this review be a warning to others.

This is a cute little toy and my daughter loves it. It doesn't really hold that much change though. More than you would probably have in your pocket at any given time, but not more than 2 or 3 days worth of change if you use cash a lot. My only real gripe about it is the price. I bought this one for around 12 or 15 dollars, but found it much cheaper for other vendors a few weeks later. Granted that's my fault, but I'm not going to return it to buy it cheaper. Just shop around, I found the much better price here on Amazon.

You set a coin on the top of the box and the panda sneaks out and grabs it. I have no logical reason why this should amusing, but it totally is. I bought this first one for a gift exchange and end up buying 2 more varieties for other friends after seeing the reaction to this one.

This is not a real Itazura coin bank. It only says "meow" and sounds very cheaply recorded. The product wasn't packed with or protected by anything other than the small bubble envelope that it was shipped in (super inconsiderate). The images on the product were a bit crooked too, hence the knockoff claim. I'm especially unhappy with it since this was supposed to be a gift for my mom that I waited normal shipping time for. The only bright side is at least I can get my money back..in a week or two. Weak.

Baby brother loves it! Still working and he's filled it up he thinks it's so cute. He can't have a real pet due to allergies so this was his next best thing besides his teddy bear!

My husband bought this exact same bank for me 2 years ago from the MOMA and I loved it (I'm 58)! I bought from these suppliers for substantially less $ for my niece for Christmas (she's 11) and she adored it! She even named the kitty, "Mandarin". (Because of the orange crate!) Great gift!

I got this for my niece as a Christmas present and she absolutely loved it! I got the panda vs the standard kitten because I like to be different, and she could not stop putting quarters in it the rest of the night! I highly recommend for anybody as this is an adorable bank for adults and kids alike

GOT THIS FOR CHRISTMAS FOR MY YOUNGEST GRAND SON 6 YEARS OLD. HE SEEN THE LITTLE KITTEN AND JUST LOVED IT. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS IT ONLY TAKES COINS. BUT HE LOVES THE WAY THE KITTEN POPS UP AND TAKES THE COINS.
