Never thought I could get so excited about a spigot!!!by StuartMVG (5 out of 5 stars)

I first saw the House Hydrant on Matt Risinger's build show and I knew I had to have it. It took me about 3 weeks before I finally made the purchase, but after receiving the product today, I'm already planning for the next one.
Opening the product box reminded me of the first time I opened an Apple product. Now remembering that this is a spigot, the box was very well organized and the welcome packet was a nice touch. I almost expected there to be stickers inside... hint hint.
From just handling the product, it seems to be well built and of good quality material, however, the true test will be after a full summer of use and a North Easter winter.
The House Hydrant will be connected with PEX, and the Uponor 1/2" PEX to NPT fits great.
I look forward to seeing how it holds up, and sure will follow up with a post update.
High Quality and very simple to install

Purchased this hydrant a few months ago and installed it today, it was a breeze, took just 15 minutes with the supplied template.
As i was using PEX pipe i had to buy a few adaptors/fittings from the local home center. Now i have a convenient simple to use outside faucet that will stand up to Maine winters without freezing. The quality and materials are first class and look to be able to last a lifetime. Highly recommend this product to anyone wanting a stylish, functional, inconspicuous, hydrant/outside faucet.
Great Premium Product from Aquor

I have 4 of these, some via amazon some direct from the manufacturer. Its a great product and a classic you get what you pay for situation where you make more then a normal bib, but as a result it looks performs many times better. Some things to note: First, the version 2 and 2+ require a larger hole that a normal hose bib so if this is a retrofit expect that your going to have to cut a larger hole your starting out with which on a house could be cutting all sorts of different materials (brick, block, wood, siding, etc). The other option is to purchase the version 1 that is basically the same size as a normal hose bib. It does not include the vacuum break like the v2 and v2+ (that lower round part). Second, they sell a 90 degree fitting that you can see in one of my pictures. I found makes the install much easier and cleaner. The reason for this is that the fitting has a gasket in it that allows for tightening of the fitting and still be selective with the cant (angle) of the fitting. While, that's possible with pipe fittings it not nearly as clean as just buying the fitting from the get go.
Finally a 21st Century hose spigot.

I recently purchased and installed four Aquor V2 hose hydrants and I'm quite pleased so far. The look of the product once installed is beyond compare. Each hydrant is nearly flush with my home's siding. I love that nothing sticks out like it did with other hose spigots. The products work just as described, too. Simply insert and twist the connector and out comes the water. Everything seems very durable as well. Installation is a bit more challenging than the company's website claims but that's almost to be expected. I had to do some cutting with a reciprocating saw to enlarge my existing holes to fit the Aquor's design. It was also more difficult to properly align them during installation and as a result two of my Aquors are a little crooked but I've made my peace with it. Now that the installation is over I love using the Aquor spigots. I can't wait to see what this company comes up with next.
Use plumbers tape and gully tighten. This is not disclosed in directions.

Must use enough plumbers tape on both fitting into house lines and make sure to fully wrench tighten before sweating into final postion. Needed to sweat in other fitting to fit into existing line, but works well. We are happy with product. Curious to see how it will withstand winter.
Expensive alternative to more standard solutions

My older, traditional frost free spigot had a persistent leak so I replaced it with this.
It is nice because I can completely eliminate access to my water by removing the adapter.
It is less nice because now I need an $25 adapter to use my water.
I'm happy that I switched -- I've had this installed for a few months now. It looks a bit cooler than a plain spigot. There are cheaper ways to protect from frost if that is your only goal.
Ease of use for hands with arthritis

I replaced an existing faucet with this as we have a hard time connecting a hose to a regular outlet due to hands not working well any more. The connector is large and allows us to easily grip it to connect and disconnect. Doesn't leak when connected or disconnected and drains well. I will change out my other faucet soon. I order two additional hand connectors to go on all my hoses. This thing is for anyone that wants to easily connect a hose, you don't have to have hand problems to appreciate it. You just turn the connector a quarter turn or so and it's done and does not take a lot of strength to turn. It's expensive but it's worth every dime to us. My son saw how easy it was to use and said he would have them installed in his home. We don't live near a city so the plumber that did the installation had never seen one of this type before but was so impressed he took photo's and the paperwork I received from Aquor and said he would order a couple to have on his truck. I don't even mind it being blue.

Amazing hose hydrant. I LOVE the clean flush look - so much better than the normal brass hose bibs that freeze and look like junk after one season. Very easy to install and so easy to use - so easy to connect and disconnect. What a wonderful product! I also got the quick disconnect hose connector with the flow control. Would highly recommend not only for freeze protection but also for the flush mount look. Great quality.
Great solution for leaky spigots!

This hydrant is a great product. I had 4 leaky spigots around my house, all replaced with aquor hydrants. My house has cedar siding so I used a mounting board. Installation and plumbing wise it's a no brainer, the only challenge I had was with the nails of the boards but I got a carbide blade for my oscillating tool and dealt with it that way.
I did not use the SS screws that the assembly came with but rather through-bolts with a washer and nut on the inside, mostly because the mounting panel is only stapled to its flange. Also I did install an additional layer of self stick Grace ice and water shield just to be sure in case I had made any cuts in the existing layer either the removal of the siding. That oscillating tool came in handy, not just to cut the siding nails but also to make 90 degree cuts in the siding boards while in place.
Again a great easy to install product and another home owners' worry less in the cold Maine climate. Highly recommend.

Easy to install. I used Pex to supply the hydrant with water. I only wish the price was less--$60 so I could purchase three.
