I bought this for my grandson. He saw his first rainbow and was enchanted. Unfortunately, we live where it rarely rains. (Except this winter!) He didn't understand why I couldn't just take him where the rainbows are.

This product is magic. You press a button and you can project a rainbow on any wall or ceiling--or some little tummy. It takes four AAA batteries, not included, so be prepared for that. The projector will make a rainbow or it will project the rainbow one color at a time. It turns itself off after 10 minutes, so if you leave it on at night, it won't stay on the whole times. That works for us, because my boy doesn't like a light when he sleeps. There is an adapter jack and you can use an AC adapter with it. You have to buy one separately. If you use the adapter, the rainbow will stay on until you turn it off.

I heartedly recommend this product. Where else can you touch a rainbow.

We bought one several years ago, our then 4yo daughter loved it as a temporary night light (shuts off automatically) and still loves it as she's turning 7yo. It had grown dim and 3 of the LED lamps were no longer lit. I was fine buying a new one as it's hit floor countless times and had lasted this long. Turned on the new one and it was incredibly bright (unlike me!). Checked the batteries in the original (old Eneloop rechargeables) and replaced them and voila, all LEDs worked and were bright as could be! Dumb A#@! Great inexpensive product, takes a beating and keeps going... just check the batteries! *Kudos to the Eneloop batteries as well as I don't believe I EVER changed them before this!

Way better than Uncle Miltons!!

This works way better than the name brand one, Uncle Miltons Rainbox in my room. I purchased this one for a neighbor girl thinking it was the Uncle Milton one that I had purchased my daughter. I was disappointed when it arrived because it was not Uncle Milton but before returning it, I was curious and wanted to compare the two lights. I was blown away by the difference! The colors in this one was very bold and showed all the colors great. The colors on the Uncle Milton one are very washed out looking and doesn't show all the colors equally. The purple is barely visible and only on the very start of the rainbow, not much blue either.

This is awesome and half the price of the Heidi Swapp ones at Michaels AND it comes with a bunch of letters and numbers. I've already discovered I can take transparency film, add stickers with clear backs and voila! Also can use stickers or my cricut to make my own phrases - it's super bright with the included cord for USB. Very, very happy!

The rainbow has been a delight for my five year old. However, it shuts off after ten minutes, meaning she wants to get out of bed and turn it back on. We keep a nightlight in her room since the rainbow turns off automatically, that way it's not too dark in there for her. Unfortunately the nightlight takes away from the full effect of the rainbow, which works best in extreme darkness. (For safety reasons the rainbow is placed out of her reach while she's in bed). It's definitely worth the sales price, and would probably cost way more if it didn't have the auto shut off.

My daughter loves rainbows. Once I saw this one I figured I must buy it for her. She loves it. She goes to sleep with it every night. She feels the rainbow protects her from the dark. All colors are so great. Great gift for girls.

Turns off after 10min no matter what

It's very cool. It works and projects exactly as its supposed to but it turns off after ten minutes. The instructions are contradicting and say that if it is plugged in to the adapter, it will stay on. Then it goes on to repeat that the light turns off after ten minutes. The product page on amazon says it will do this no matter what power source you use. I bought this for use as a nightlight. It doesn't work for this purpose because my daughter freaking out every ten minutes isn't going to work for anybody. I have to send it back and find something else.

Great for multiple uses

I use this in my classroom to post little messages. You use both a USB charger (included) or batteries. The letters are a bit of a pain to peel off the protective plastic, but it's nice as well because it protects them temporarily. Highly quality product.

Noptag rainbow light

It won't stay on even with adapter. Got it for a night light and it's a lousy one! Had the original rainbow light - can't recall the make - and it was awesome . It wore out from years of use so bought a replacement one. I don't like it one bit! Would send it back if I could but by the time I realized it's shortcomings , felt it was a bit too long to return. Don't buy this one - and I am usually a pretty positive reviewer !!

You get what you pay for here. Beautiful array of rainbow colors. My 8 year old girl loves this light. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating was that it shuts off rather quickly on battery power and does not come with a power cord.
