The drone worked great for a week. Then 1 of the 4 motors went out. It doesn't fly right anymore. I contacted PropelRC but they did not respond to my 2 separate emails, no one picks up phone calls and support chat is always unavailable. I ended up returned the drone back to to Amazon. The drone comes with 2 batteries but each only lasts about 5 minutes. The only great thing about it is the light and music during unboxing.
Great design and fun to fly, but quality needs help.

This droid is an experience. Every little detail has been thought of, from the unboxing to little surprises on the controller. The design of everything is A+. As my first drone, it is fairly easy to fly. It also comes with a phone holder so you can download the app for it and practice flying a virtual drone. It is super zippy out in the open and is so much fun. It is fairly stable for its size and doesn't drift too much on a calm day. My 15 year old daughter picked up flying it very quickly.
But, there appears to be some quality issues with it. First, the remote I received was broken and the company was unresponsive to two emails I sent. I had to return it and buy a new one. Second, the crash cage is so fragile that it broke after a soft landing on grass. The company has been sold out of replacements for some time. Third, every one of the little guns on the side broke after mild crashes on grass. It did come with replacements. But I am just leaving them broken to avoid breaking the replacements. Out of the blue, the drone has started shutting down mid-flight and dropping like a rock for no reason. It has happened twice. The battery was not dead and I was not sending it the kill command either time it happened.
In summary, the design and flight are fabulous, but the quality is lacking for the price.
Quality sucks.

When I first got it. It was amazing! Super nice box. Had sound and everything when you opened the box! BUT!!!!!
Thank goodness I got a deal for it because it's not worth it's actual price when it came out. I didn't even use it for 30mins and one Of the four motors stop working! Thought it would be the best quality!
Especially coming from propel. I ordered a couple of them and I'm just going to return them both!
Fast and Fun

This thing is really fast for its size. With the auto altitude featured turned on, you lose altitude if you give it full forward for too long. I don't think this is a problem though. The sound effects, paint details and, make it worth the higher cost compared to other similar drones.
Pros:
Has altitude hold, but it can be turned off if you prefer.
The control modes seem to have a wider range between beginner and experienced.
Battery charge time a little shorter than typical.
Best unpacking experience ever!
Cons:
The propeller down design flies well, but I expect the propellers to wear out quicker. It was really difficult to read the letter marking on the clear propellers. The packages should be marked A and B to make finding the right propellers easier.
The packaging is really nice but it's unfortunate that it's not possible to put the drone back into the case without removing the propellers.
Love it!

Phenomenal drone! Completely forgot we ordered this, which further enhanced the experience of just opening the box.
In hindsight I would have paid the $60 for just the packaging considering the screams and frantic dancing from our two year old son at just opening the box. It comes sealed with wax on two sides that contain the rebel insignia. After you cut through and pull off the top you are greeted with bright lights and loud Star Wars themed music piping out of the box! The drone is set in a plexiglass collectors case with a rechargeable battery to continue to experience the thrill every time you lift the lid off the box.
Once inside it's a snap to put together and get your X-Wing up and running. Everything is extremely well put together and feels like it should be priced WAY higher based on quality and aesthetics.
I would recommend downloading the free apps that let you go through virtual flight training with the remote connected to your phone via Bluetooth before taking your drone out for maneuvers. Once your ready go with training mode, and put on the protective shield to save your propeller blades and go after it. While there are three speeds when out of training mode, I found that the first and second speed are more than enough to get the full experience and allow you a little grace in maneuvering. This saves you some possible damage, along with your pride and battery life. I'm not sure who enjoys this fighter more, me or the kids :). You won't be disappointed!
Not worth the money

It was a gift for my nephew and what a bummer of a gift when you open the box its really cool with all the lights and music but that was about all we got it would not even leave the ground the blades all spun at different speeds and it would just flip over never got it to even fly once I've had other drones in the past that were not good drones at all but I could at least get them to take off even if they crashed at least they left the ground
Awesome

Bought this for my son as a Christmas present. Very nice drone! Opening the box was really cool. When you take the top off the box, the display case lights up and plays Star Wars music. Pretty simple to fly. Comes with extra blades and two batteries. I may buy another one!
Super cool gadget

Super cool gadget! Hubby loves it! Its does so many amazing things. A bit hard to control at first and would recommend practicing in an area where there is soft landing and very little obstruction till you get the hang of it. But once you have the hang of it, its pretty far out! Ended up buying a second one for my son so him and the hubby can battle.
Cool sounding paper weight

We bought two of these drones. This was the first, the speeder bike was the second. As I said in my review for the speeder bike, the unboxing is the best part of this purchase. The lights/sounds of the actual box itself were overwhelming (even for a mom). I admit, it's cool. But it stops there. My son got this for his birthday in June 2018. By August after only a few flights, this thing was a cool sounding paperweight. It no longer flies. Motors work inconsistently sending this all over the place and becoming unresponsive to the controller. Sometimes it doesn't work at all. The speeder bike which fly much better than the x-wing blew a motor after just a month and does not fly at all. The most disappointing thing about this is that my 9 year old saved up his birthday money to purchase the speeder bike after receiving this one. Life lesson learned. Sometimes you save up for a super cool toy and it's garbage . If you're looking for a collectible that will just sit in the box, this might be the gift for you. If you are buying this as a drone that's fun to fly and spend some time with your kids, skip this. It's junk.
