This review will cover our experience with both a black and a gold one from Zek.
The first spinner came out of the package with a crack in one of the lobes at what would be the 12 o'clock position in the Amazon product image. Obviously the bearing in that lobe would not stay in so we returned it and bought a replacement. We actually were able to use the second spinner since it arrived in tact. However with just about every use one or more of the blue bearing caps falls out. The caps in the middle bearing also fall out but they are a bit easier to find. As I write this review one of the middle caps and one of the blue caps is AWOL. One big issue with the middle cap falling out so easily is that the spinner ends up flying out of your hand which makes locating the cap problematic.
Zek emailed me directly after the first purchase asking how much we liked it and would we please contact them with any questions, they are a small business and rely on good customer support and reviews blah blah blah. So I emailed them directly with our concerns regarding the defective first spinner and the "puke out my bearing covers at the slightest touch" second spinner. This morning I received a bounce notice on that email, "Your e-mail(s) to (m0dmpf91q0j62t4@marketplace.amazon.com) cannot be delivered because there was a problem with the recipient's email system. The recipient can still view the message in their message center on Amazon.com, but they will not receive it by e-mail. We apologize for the inconvenience."
We selected this particular spinner from the dozens on Amazon due to the high number of positive reviews. Sadly our experience does not warrant such a review.
The seller sent out the how do you like it email

my nine year old son had to have this, paid for it with his own money. Out of the box, one of the bearing covers was off. snapped back into place, spin it, falls right back off. He refuses to return it because "he really wants it"... all his friends have a fidget spinner, so of course he needs one, and does not want to wait for another one to come. The seller sent out the how do you like it email, and when I told him, he said the matter had to be taken up with Amazon. Again, my son does not want to send this one back and wait for a new one. So overall, I am not satisfied with this purchase. Should have convinced him to get one of the $8 ones.
Certainly not excellent quality.

The quality was certainly not as exceptional as the seller is advertising. The spinner arrived broken: One of the blue bearing coves had come off exposing the bearings. Same for the black center bearing cover.
I popped the black center piece back on (only for it to come off again) and the center bearings are smooth; it spins for a while. The outer bearing are not smooth; like there is dirt in between. I can imagine that is due to the blue covers not being attached well.
Great at first, but beware...

This fidget spinner started out awesome. We even made a glowing review and unboxing video on our YouTube channel. For a little less than $20 this is a great spinner, at least for the first day or two. Upon opening, we were able to easily achieve 2-3:30 minute spin times. Fast forward a few days later and we are lucky to get this thing to spin for at least 1 Minute. When we started to take it apart and see what was the matter, that is where we noticed the defect. The bearings were already rusted! I'm not sure if we received a defective product or if all of the other ones will follow suit, I do know that zekpro offers a 100% guarantee, so it sounds like they firmly stand behind their product. I'm hoping this was the case and will gladly change it to five stars if it can be proven that what I received in the first place was not a sham. So as for now, beware everyone, this fidget spinner starts out really awesome and quickly disappoints too. My son, was and is still pretty upset about this:(

Straight Up Scam - Don't Believe the High Ratings

This is an overpriced piece of low-quality garbage. The spinner meets none of the marketing points on its amazon page, such as:
* High quality plastic - the plastic on the center piece is actually sharp, making it uncomfortable to hold, let alone spin.
* High quality ceramic bearings - the bearings are all steel and were rusted and grinding upon arrival. The blue covers for the outer bearings fall off constantly, without even spinning. One was off before the spinner was opened and fell out of the box. The bearings also are not fit properly, and wobble in their sockets.
* Long spin times - due mainly to the low quality of the bearings, the longest I've been able to spin it is 35 seconds. Thirty five. I bought a 6 dollar spinner at goodwill that spins longer.
The price is ridiculously high for such a poorly constructed spinner. Many of the much cheaper ones are higher quality in spin time, bearing quality, and body quality.
This spinner is falsely marketed as something it is not - a high-quality fidget spinner. In reality, it is a shoddily and cheaply built product that is sold on lies and doesn't even qualify as a DECENT spinner. It is complete and utter trash, and a scam.
I am extremely disappointed in the many misleading reviews, which after getting my spinner and using it, seem to me must be largely fake.
TL;DR: Do not buy this fidget spinner. It is a bad product sold by extremely dishonest people.
Poor quality for the price!!

Don't be fooled by all the positive reviews!! My 8 year old son wanted one of these things so I thought, what the heck! He has ADHD so I thought it could potentially help him focus or I wouldn't have fallen for this new fad. Anyhow, he was soooooo excited to get this and couldn't wait to open it when it had arrived yesterday. One of the blue circle thingies had fallen off and was in the box when he opened it. Then, within 2 minutes of him trying it out (and dropping it a few times) we realized the blue thingies flew off way too easily. We have a toddler and two dogs who were all very interested in getting their hands on the blue tbingies that flew off. All this to say, I don't think it's safe to keep this and risk the toddler or one of our dogs ingesting the little blue thingy. I could've just taken them all off or even glued them back on but I chose this one for the great reviews and paid a little more than some available since it seemed to be "better." Now I'm returning it due to the poor quality. Oh, and my son acted like his world had literally ended yesterday so yea, that was fun.
4 star product, but be prepared to be peppered with misleading emails after purchase to submit a rev

I was asked three times by the owner of Zekpro to submit a review. As a marketer myself, I want to provide him (assume it's a him as his photo is included with each email) with feedback on his product as well as his marketing tactics, which could be great, but right now are
annoying, misleading, and bordering on violating Amazon's terms and perhaps the can spam act. First, what I like about your marketing:
- Genuine (at least appeared that way)
- Well-written
- And had a value-add for the customer (and again, great marketing by him), a tip book of tricks to do with the spinner
What I hate about your marketing and I believe is poor and not doing right by the customer:
- Frequency and sheer number of emails AFTER I said yes with my wallet. I've had three emails asking for a review, but each one was deceptive in its subject line.
- The subject lines used (image attached) are easily spotted by Gmail and tossed in one's SPAM folder; however, because I purchased through Zekpro - I have raised my hand in Google's eyes for their comms to come through.
I am providing this feedback as it appears you are trying very hard; however, certainly you must see the irony of your email campaigns. You are marketing a product that is positioned as an "Anti-Anxiety" solution. However, you then reach out to people who have already bought the little thing with not one, not two, but three emails, all that are designed to trick the consumer into opening.
Your first email had the subject line:
- "Do you remember me?" - What does that have to do with this spinner? It's misleading, creepy, even "anxiety producing???"
Second email, subject line:
- "John, I've got some GREAT news!" - There was no "GREAT news!" for me, it was another ask for a review
Finally, tonight, email arrives with subject line:
- "Is Everything OK?" - I am tempted to return this out of annoyance. I would expect that subject line in SPAM, or if it was real from friends or family. Why in the world would you send this to people who are supporting your business? Chill.
Try something like this - and send it JUST once:
Are you enjoying your new Spinner!? Please let us know!
Do not send me this - the 3rd in a series of emails:
Is everything OK?
Again, I bought the product, that is your win. Please do not try to trick me after I've already said OK I will buy this. It's bad business and I imagine Amazon would frown upon this.
Here is the product review, which would have been four stars if I wasn't being hassled by you to write a stupid review.
PROS:
- High quality build. iSpinners are very popular now and I imagine making yourself standout is not easy. Zekpro has done it with a quality product and brilliant placement and marketing ON Amazon. It feels solid, not like the ones you find in a convenience store where it starts falling apart or running rough after a week. It feels as if it's built to last.
- Truth in advertising I purchased this spinner, but wanted two. One for me and one for my daughter. There was a limit of one per customer so I bought a different brand. Both arrived the same day. Zekpro's spinner was large - the right size. It felt right in the hand with weight. The other spinner I received was about 30% smaller. I felt ripped off and don't use it
- "Official" branding. I have no idea what an official spinner is - but when yo have a great rating, limit purchases to one per customer, and it is branded official, you expect to get a high-quality product. I got exactly that.
Cons:
- Just the aggressive messaging as detailed above
Wish list
- I am not a fan of the light blue. If this is a business you believe is built to last, not be taken out by the cheap imitations, why not expand the color scheme and provide combinations that are colors which are proven to provide comfort. Or better yet, a Spinner with a combination of colors that produces such a color pattern. That research is easily accessible and I believe would be a key differentiation in selling your spinner vs. another.
I believe you can be last Spinner standing if you just tweak your campaigns, don't bug your customers
and
Do something cool with the colors to expand its value. That little list of tricks for the spinner is cool, why not think colors or other ways to utilize the spinner to help relax
