So Far, Very Impressedby Jeff J (5 out of 5 stars)

After one use, I can say that this little thing is pretty cool. Very sturdy and performed as advertised. I uploaded a video of it 'in use' and a couple of other pictures. One of what the mesh looks like after the fire. I'll try to remember to post an update after several more uses. In the video, I said "tri-pod" but it actually has 4 legs and is very stable. Later in the night, I had 6 medium sized logs on it and it seemed to handle the weight just fine. I wouldn't go any higher than that though since the log pile itself would be unstable. So far, very impressed.
Perfect!

I love this little fire pit. I was looking for something small that I could pack easily and this is perfect. I've used it twice so far, first time with a Duraflame log and the second time we used real wood. It held 3 decent sized logs. I was a little worried about the weight but it held up just fine. Easy clean up too, the next day after the ash was cool I just dumped it in the trash and hosed of the mesh. Would definitely recommend this, and the price is great too.
Worth every penny!

Took to a festival and this thing impressed everyone. It held up. We were able to stack quite a bit of logs on it. The ashes didn't fall through and when we dumped it out the next day, I thought the screen would have ashes compressed into it, but they came right off. We got this because it fit in our car, very portable, lightweight and easy to fold out and set up. Stick feet under for warmth!
Amazing

I am very impressed with this product, at least from my 3 day mountain trip experience. It held up great with 5-6 hours of nightly use with some good size fires. I was concerned that the mesh could not possibly last but it proved me wrong on this trip. Even more amazing no ash or embers feel through to the ground. Everything stayed in the mesh mat which made for easy cleanup. This was important to me since i was on a friends property and did not want to damage their lawn. I also purchased the Stansport tripod grill to go with this for cooking and together they were awesome and we ate well. The fact that this product folds up into a little small carry pouch made it even more convenient. I could not recommend this product more. Don's second guess. Buy, Buy, Buy! I highly recommend.
Would definitely buy again

It's been a very long time since we initially bought this product, but having used it the other night on a friends lawn, I would have to say that this is the perfect fire pit for all occasions. We bought wood from Walmart and set it up in the front of the yard and easily fit three the four big logs on there. The fire stayed lit and the embers stayed hot for hours due to the mesh on the bottom. Although there is enough airflow to keep the fire going, nothing falls through. When the night was over and it was time to pack up, I was able to pick up the legs of the fire pit while the fire was still lit and was able to carry it to the street and dump it without getting burned. It took less than ten minutes for the fire pit to cool down and even less time to put away. Would highly recommend this product.
Worth the buy for space savers

Took a chance and tried this portable fire pit, I purchased the large size. Used it for a camping trip to Yosemite for 5 days. Was happy I got it in the end. Pro: portable, comes with a travel case, the mesh is very durable and flexible to roll up and fold away, the large size held 3-4 medium wood logs and I had it burning all night long. Great airflow for a good size burning fire. Had 5 people in my party and it was enough. Bottom pushes out heat so it keeps your feet warm underneath. Ash doesn't fall through but is contained by the mesh. Easy to clean the mesh after using just rinsed it off with the hose and let it dry in the sun. The metal poles did not have scorch marks but can get hot from heat. Cons: doesn't come with instructions so I had to look at the amazon picture and I was able to figure it out. Not easily movable once a fire is started unlike other portable fire pits you can pick up and move this one cannot because of the legs. Legs do not lock in place but are held in place by the weight of everything when it is folded out. No other negative really.
Buyer knowledge: get the large size, the medium is far too small or it's good enough for a single person backpacking. Large is good for 1+ persons. Read the warnings first, if the mesh turns red as the fire burns you have to many logs and too much heat therefore you can burn through the mesh. A good log capacity for the large size is 3-4 medium size logs.
Main reason for buying: wanting the luxury of a fire pit in campsites that do not have in ground pits but I also need something portable and space saving. It fits perfectly in my storage cubby inside my pop up trailer.
Works well!

This is a great product. It worked really well on a recent campout and helped us to leave no trace while still allowing us a source of warmth and a way to roast marshmallows for s'mores. I like that it collapses and saves valuable cargo space in my vehicle that I couldn't do with a traditional fire bowl. And it really does hold up virtually all the ash. Only the finest ash powder slipped through and that's easily mixed into the underlying dirt when everything else is cleaned up and packed away. When packing it back up, do be careful how the screen is wrapped around the legs because it is possible that the screen mesh, while durable, could get pinched and punctured with the corner of the square bracket that holds and supports the legs. And while it can certainly support the weight of the better part of an average bundle of firewood, I wouldn't go crazy on loading it up. A few split logs, as shown in the product pictures is plenty sufficient.
Very satisfied with this purchase

Used it for the first time today and it performed as good or better than I expected. Set up was quick and easy. When set up, it's stable and low enough to the ground so you don't get the feeling it will tip over. Ashes don't fall through the steel mesh, and it will hold plenty of wood to get a decent fire going. I can't speak to the long term durability of it because I've only used it once so far, but I had a fire going on it for almost four hours and afterward the mesh showed no sign of melting or deterioration (just some discoloration on the mesh which was expected). It's lightweight and compact enough so that it's convenient to carry in the included sleeve case. Materials and construction appeared to be good quality. Cools off quickly for disposing of the ashes and packing it back up.
Just what I wanted and need

It is just what I was looking for and wanted. I have a very small deck and cant' have a large fire pit but I really enjoy having fires in the fall. This helps me accomplish that.It isn't huge and doesn't take up my whole deck, while still being safe to have on my deck since the mesh keeps all the embers and most the soot off my deck so it doesn't create a fire hazard. Obviously can't have a huge fire on this since it is small but if you just want something you can take camping or to the beach or even like me to have on your small deck, it's great! If you are looking to have a real bonfire, I wouldn't recommend but for basic small fires I highly recommend.
Fire pit works great, but be careful if it gets windy

I've used this fire pit about 7 or 8 times now. Each time, the setup and clean up have been simple and straight forward. Screen is still in good shape despite several very hot fires in it. It is light weight and packs nicely for backpacking. I like it because it lets me set up a fire anywhere without having to destroy the ground to do it.
The only bad thing about this fire pit is that a heavy wind can carry embers from it which can increase the chances of an uncontrolled fire.
