Stopped workingby Shaothewise (5 out of 5 stars)

Received this on the 4th and it worked good till two days ago. It stopped working in car for apple carplay. Now tonight, it has stopped charging phone. Nothing visually wrong with it. I know they back their products and I have not reached out to them since its such a waste of time shipping back and waiting for replacement Bahhh.
Edit:
I have changed the rating for now since Anker actually contacted me and has already sent out a replacement for defective one. They just ask for S/N that is attached to wire which I will take care of. Like I said, I knew they backed their products and this is further proof. Thanks.
Lasted only 6 months. UPDATE replacement provided

I have to change my previous 5 star to 1 since the cable I bought 21 December just stop working for mi a couple of days ago. I just use this in my nightstand at night, no "heavy" use whatsoever. For that price I would've expected to last at least a year. Disappointed.
UPDATE July 13th. Changing my rating back to 5 stars. The customer service and the follow up they provide at Anker is really good. They sent me a new cable which I hope will last this time. They do asked for the serial number to check the batch the faulty cable was in, so they can doble check quality control I guess. They really stand by their products.
Thanks ANKER!
I will buy these again and again and again. I highly recommend them to everyone and anyone!

Best charger I have owned. I have bought countless cheap and expensive chargers. Why? Because I keep one in my car, one in every place I frequently visit or work at. I have recently upgraded all my chargers to this one. It may have cost me a bit more to do so. However that cost is extremely valuable.
They are beautiful. They charge the fastest out of all of the chargers I have ever had. I have two 6 footers and one 10 footer of these. The 6, come with a cool case. Even though I do not use them, it was an awesome touch. It also comes with a nice Velcro strap to strap it together. BEST add on ever!
I will buy these again and again and again. I highly recommend them to everyone and anyone!
Just buy it already, you know it's going to meet or exceed your expectations.

It is too early to tell if this is a 10 out of 10. I have high standards. But with the quick shipping to my doorstep, the excellent packaging and presentation, the solid texture and feel of each of the components, and smooth charging operations which I am using as I write this review, I am going to give this a 5 out of 5. I got two cords. They fit perfectly in the travel case. By the way the case is very good looking and VERY COMPACT (the product photos are deceiving). Amazing!
Only thing I wish Anker would have done was add a similar fitting travel case for their 10-ft cable. I would have bought that in a heartbeat.
And please come out with similar braided cable with magnetic tip chargers!
But you know what, 6ft is soooo much better than 3ft. So far, I am impressed and delighted by a Charging cable. And it takes a lot of technical skill and quality to do that. Nice job Anker!
If anything goes awry, I'll update my review accordingly but I'm not expecting it. When other users said Apple should have included this quality grade of cable with their phones and tablets, they are 100% CORRECT! You are going to ask yourself WHY you went so long using shoddy OEM cables from Apple.
Now, Anker...when are you going to upgrade ALL of your other useful cables to Powerline+ II ? I want to see it all! USB-C to USB-C, and the other commonly used iterations.
I went ahead and also picked up an Anker 6-port PowerPort 6 IQ-charger and as one would expect both work very well. Currently charging an iPhone 6s+ and IPad Pro from 2016.
Loving it!
UPDATE December 2018: I've been using the 6 and 10 foot cables from this Powerline+ II product series rigorously at home, work, and travel and I have not had a single problem. Saved my neck on several occasions. I've recommended these to numerous people. I have family members fighting over who gets to use my cables when they visit.
Word of caution: Amazon is now selling a knock-off copycat version competing with Anker's cables. Don't buy them, they're not in the same league as these. You might save a couple dollars but if you read some of their reviews you'll notice that not everything is amazing about those knockoffs.
Update March 2019: Still work perfect. I have been rough with them. No issues. I've had 2 apple lightning cables fail since last year and this cable has become my fail-safe.
Great when it worked...stopped working after 3 weeks

Cable worked great for around 3 weeks. They are build very solid. However, I can't charge my phone using the cable as of yesterday. I plugged in my phone overnight to charge as usual. The next day, my phone was actually discharged around 6-7%, despite my phone indicating that it is charging. Odd. I changed the cable and it started charging immediately. I let the phone charge up, then started troubleshooting the Anker cable. Tried 3 other power sources (1 18W apple power adapter, 1 apple iPhone adapter, and a MacBook Pro) and my phone will not charge with this cable. In fact, it seems to discharge my phone (~1% every 10 minutes). It hasn't even been a month since I've received the cable so I'm pretty disappointed.
Didn't last 5 months... (Updated 1 month after replacement)

Update: You can see the original review below for some background, but after posting Anker reached out and sent me a new cable. After about 1 month or so of use, I can say the new cable is excellent and has not failed yet. As the last one lasted about 5 months, I will update this again in about 4 months to see if it deserves that 5 star rating. Having said that, I own several Anker products and believe them when they say the original cable was likely just defective. They stand behind their product and and I appreciate that as a consumer.
Original Review: Purchased the red cable in February (along with one extra in black). The black one is still charging well, but the red one barely does at at anymore. Never really pulled or twisted the cable either; it just stopped working (while the black one still works fine). I alternated between the two, so I'm not sure why the red one died faster.
So basically, 1 out of 2 cables (each almost $20) lasted under 5 months. I'm not sure if that's a good investment or not, but I would have liked them to last at least a year for the investment. I probably would not purchase another Anker cable unless the quality of the cable goes up.
The tank of all cords!

Purchased a black and a silver for my fiancé and I. After buying a 4 pack of cheaper cords for Christmas (they started coming apart after only having them for a couple weeks), I looked for the toughest cords I could find. These definitely fit the bill, they feel very sturdy and the plugs fit securely. Plus, with the lifetime warranty, you can't go wrong. One of these cost more than the 4 pack of off-branded cords, but I would gladly pay the difference for the quality and not have to worry about replacing cords frequently. I'm going to get another to keep in the bedroom, definitely a good buy! It comes with a nice little case and a little Velcro strap to wrap it with for storage (the Velcro doesn't snag the on the cord, it only says sticks to itself). The little case is perfect for storing earbuds or small headphones too.
Do not buy

I just got the cable today June 21st I'm using an Apple 12w USB POWER adapter. And once I plugged it. It only worked for 2 seconds then stoped charging. Returning the item tomorrow. Was given only ONE day to return the item. DO NOT BUY. Thankfully it didn't work I would've been really annoyed a week later if it stopped

purchased this cable with the hopes of it being high quality.
So far I'm very happy. The feel and look is spectacular. You can tell it's well made. It has a thicker diameter than my other braided cables. It has good flexibility and stays were you bend it with only a little memory. The braids are tight and the material used is silky and very soft. It's hard The Velcro tie down is also very nice and own and ruin the cable .
The Velcro tie down is also very nice and a good feature to have. I know I will be using
Compared to most other brands the connection Rods on the inside are much thicker/heavier. It will take a long time to wear them down. When connected the usb jack will be snug and stay tight for much longer and maintain a good solid transfer of power/data. The lightning side fits secure as well.
I was able charge with multiple devices. No problems with the phone not being recognized.
I have the iPhone 7 with the Otter box "slim" hard case. No problem with connecting the cable for Sync/charge.
Another bonus is the pouch, FYI, the pouch ONLY comes with the 6" and 3" NOT 10". The pouch is soft and just as well made as the cable. Both zippers Slide very easy and smooth. Simple to coil and place inside the pouch in order to adjust the length to be large or small. Just by pulling or pushing the cable back inside it. I like that the logo is there but subtle. I may end up using it to store my external power supply, I'm not sure yet. I would like more of these pouches.
I have only just got it so I hope it does last. From the sounds of their customer service, if I have any problems, I will have nothing to fear.
I added a picture comparing the top shelf lightning MFI certified double braided sync/charge cables.

Top notch Lightning cables, robust, work with iOS12

We've had all manner of Lightning compatible cables over the past several years. OEM, knock-offs, cheapies, and Anker-branded. Of them all, I wouldn't rate the OEM cables from APPLE much better than the el-cheapo's from 'name your brand'. They all give out. The thin casing breaks and frays, the contacts tarnish or break, or they just stop working.
Anker. I've never had any issues with Anker cables. I have their earlier generation plastic coated cables and some of the previous braided Powerlines. YES - they tend to be more expensive. These particular items the Powerline 2+, are more expensive as well. No question in my mind however, in the case of these cables, you get what you pay for.
The Powerline 2+ braided are beasts. We bought the gold-colored. Not only do they look great but more importantly the braided covering is thick, the USB and lightning terminations are robust and the fit and finish overall is top-notch. Of course it goes to say that I've had ZERO issues with my Apple devices (including iPhones and iPads running latest iOS 12) in charging or transferring data when using Powerline 2+ cables.
I have no doubt that these cables will last as long as I need them to. I'd not hesitate to purchase again.
