This is a spacious bag - could easily pack for up to a week in itby Amazon Customer (4 out of 5 stars)

First some pluses: This is a spacious bag - could easily pack for up to a week in it. Even when it is quite full, the backpack straps are constructed in a way that it doesn't feel too heavy on your back (for reference I am ~5'5, so the bag is quite large relative to my frame but does not feel cumbersome to carry as a backpack at all, even without support straps). I love that it has a computer sleeve that fits a 15" laptop, a couple smaller tech pockets, and separate external pockets for laundry/shoes, as I primarily use the bag for days I want to go to the gym in the morning and straight to work for the day [sometimes with a run in the afternoon].
My main complaints that drop the rating in order of most important:
1. For a $200+ dollar bag, I would not expect to have so many problems with the zippers. The design of zippers around the top of the bag is such that they get stuck in the corners at the bottoms and it take a minute of rearranging the sit of the zipper tracks and jangling with the zipper to get it come unstuck and finally zip up. On my bag, this is a bigger problem on the right side corner as you are looking at it. Perhaps this could be remedied by simply using a slightly bigger zipper track or bigger zipper tag? Regardless, its an obnoxious tick.
2. There are several embedded pockets, such that it renders other pockets useless. on the top of the bag, the water proof pocket embeds into another pocket. If you have filled that second pocket, you cannot use the waterproof pocket -- there is no where extra for it to expand. This means I have two pockets, but have to make a decision about which of the two I actually want to use.
In general, the outer pockets on the top and bottom of the bag embed into the larger bag, so if you are searching for something in the larger bag, you have to move around the outer pockets to look around. It seems it might be better to just have layered pockets so that if you were looking at the bag from the top, there were two different larger pockets you could open to get into the main space of the bag.
3. Since the bag is advertised as accommodating 3-7 day trips, a great feature would be to have some way to compress the size of the bag if you have not filled it.
4. I would have preferred for there to be flexibility to include a longer strap for the "duffle" feature of the bag.

Bag is great quality and great design but they ruin it by putting cheap zips on it my zips constantly split I work offshore and have even told not to use that bag for work again as my bag zips split as they were putting it on the chopper and my belongings fell out.
Looks amazing

This bag is awesome. I received a ton of compliments. Here is everything I fit
- 1 pair of shoes
- 2 pair of jeans
- 2 pair Banana Republic khaki pants
- 3 pairs of shorts
- 7 t-shirts
- 2 polo shirts
- 1 short sleeve button up
- 2 Express dress shirts
- 8 pairs of socks
- 9 underwear
- travel adapter for Italy
- Cell phone cable
- external battery charger
- tooth brush
Although nice and tight, it all fit well and of course I still had a check in bag for all my liquids and such. But this fit nicely. I bet I can fit everything into this bag for a 5 day trip to Vegas or something where I won't need as much clothes or pants since it's so hot.
Well designed but maybe a bit large

I purchased this bag for an upcoming trip to Thailand from the company website. They had a Black Friday sale which gave me $40 off original price. It arrived in a little over a week and man it's well designed. The material, the pockets, all the compartments for your stuff, the sleek design; it was all really well thought out.
I have just a few small gripes. You can tell it was made for a mans body. I'm 5'7 but have to tighten the straps all the way to fit my back. The shoulder straps are also really wide, as if made for a man. Additionally, while the bag says it's international sized for a check in, I am worried it's too large. It's practically the same size as my roll suitcase. I'm really hoping this works for international flights....
UPDATE:
Just returned from a 14 day trip to Thailand and I must report that this bag is perfect. I was able to carry it on every flight, even the small regional ones. It looks so much sleeker and is so much better designed than any other bag I saw. Would def recommend.
A great replacement bag for a backpack

I travel to Asia almost every other month for 2-3 weeks at a time and needed something a bit larger that could replace my laptop roller bag and have room for clothes and carry my loaf of bread sized CPAP machine. So I did a lot of online research and chose the Nomatic travel bag which I purchased in Oct 17 and been using for about 5 months. I've been using the bag constantly and I'm pleased to say it's holding up great and I'm happy I purchased it. No visible wear due to the quality of durable material used in the making of the bag. Even with my CPAP machine on the bottom of the bag there's still a lot of room left for clothes and other things. Unfortunately, my laptop can't fit into the built in laptop sleeve so I still drag my laptop roller and carry the Nomatic bag. PROS: Made of durable materials, backpack straps that easily convert to duffel bag handles, storage space, accessory pockets, built in pass thru slot for telescopic luggage handle, fits in all major airlines overhead and even in the turbo prop and Gulf Stream jet type planes. CONS: Built in laptop sleeve doesn't hold my 15.6" Toshiba laptop. You need to really force it into the sleeve but then you have a heck of a time pulling it out so I don't use it, and no pen/pencil slots in pockets.
Tech pocket it cool. cons

My hope was to get a bag that I could use for my daily carry and for one-bag travel. The design of this bag is OK for the latter but not the former. Thus, I returned it in Amazon's painless process.
Pros: enough space for 4 days of travel. Shoe compartment fits my ankle boots. Tech pocket it cool.
cons: water pocket is is a pretty tight fit. Tech pocket is nice but pockets on opposite side of bag? Useless. Too big for daily carry. Main compartment too hard to get into for daily carry. I generally didn't like that I had to take open bag from the "inside." Wish it was smaller and then had ability to expand for more space.
I went with Overhaul 40 instead and love it.
Comfortable, Functional, Recommended!

I love to travel for pleasure and often travel for work. After much deliberation, I decided to try a travel backpack. I wish I'd done it years ago.
Nomatic did this right. It's insanely comfortable to carry this bag. I say this as someone who has had major back issues. I'm 5'6" and 145lbs. It's not overbearing on me at all. It's easy to get on and off. The top grip handle is shockingly useful and really sturdy.
The pockets are highly functional. Though I will say that it's a bit of a drag how much interior space they take up. But that's the nature of any bag in this style, not a reflection of Nomatic's design.
I recently did six 4-5 day trips in about 8 weeks. I traveled with this bag and a small purse. I was able to fit a breast pump (spectra S1) and four flange/bottle sets along with scrub brush and travel soap, toiletries, 5 outfits (trips started in Feb with winter wardrobe - pants and shirts- and went through May spring/summer wardrobe- skirts and shirts or dresses), a spare pair of heels, swell bottle, 12" iPad Pro with keyboard, iPad mini, chargers, two medium paperback books, 2 moleskin notebooks, and a curling iron. No problems. Without the pump I imagine I could pack for 10-14 days easily. And it leaves me hands free when traveling with baby.
Bottom Line: I love this bag. It's comforable, functional, and holds a surprsing amount. Highly recommended.
Best bag I've ever owned... hands down*

This bag is what I've been looking for. Cliche opener, I know... but in all honesty this bag is the best bag I've ever purchased.
My days are long. I'm a product developer by day, and I'm a part time personal trainer in the evenings. I work 8am-5pm, then go to the gym to train my clients. After my last fitness client I train Muay Thai, and then I do strength training afterwards. So I generally carry 3 bags around. A backpack for my day job items; laptop, cables, etc. a small duffel bag for my Muay Thai gear; boxing gloves, wraps, Thai trunks, etc. and a 3rd bag for gym gear; lifting shoes, set of workout clothes, towel, etc. I was able to fit all those items into this one bag with room to spare. I use the bottom shoe compartment for my gloves, trunks, and wraps. I have a shoe bag that I put my gym shoes in that fits with the rest of my gym gear in the main compartment, and I'm still able to fit my laptop and my other day job essentials.
There are so many other things about this bag I love. The material feel strong and rigid. Zippers are not YKK, but they still feel sturdy. I really like that I can take the waist straps off. You can imagine how sweaty I get from my long days. So it's nice to be able to remove the waste straps and throw them into the wash to freshen them up a bit. The smooth water resistant exterior is easy to clean. Another huge plus is the minimal exterior. My previous backpack had rings and straps that caught on everything. The shoulder straps, chest strap, and waist straps make this bag super comfy with all the gear I have in it.
I've seen some of the older reviews, but since then I'm sure Nomatic has made adjustment to fix any consumer issues. In the end I absolutely recommend this bag.
It has a small dirty cloths hamper and side pockets to put your passports

This back pack has tons of pockets for everything you need to carry (i.e. laptop, mini game console). You can also carry shoes in the bottom compartment. It has a small dirty cloths hamper and side pockets to put your passports. You can lock the zippers and I like that it can easily turn into a hand bag.
The downsides are that it get really hot against your back with the thick durable material. Also, it wasn't as water resistant as I had hoped. I took it hiking while it was raining and the pockets started filling up with water. The rain seeps through the zippers but the material holds in the water. Overall, this is an amazing backpack and I plan on using it for a long time.
NOMATIC has been super cooperative and has sent me a new bag

Barely had the bag a few months and the strap tore. Mind you, NOMATIC has been super cooperative and has sent me a new bag. Just a little disappointed with the quality of a 200 dollar bag.
