Good little kit for campfire cooking, with some things that worked really well and others that didn't:
1. Grubfork- typical, did their job for marshmallows and hotdogs.
2. Burgcage- worked well to cook the burger or roasting some veggies.
3. Grubcage- as a smore maker I didn't care for it (just do it the old-fashioned way!) but worked well for grilled cheese sandwiches and bacon-wrapped brussel sprouts.
4. Grubpocket- bv far our favorite accessory for making dough cups out of crescent rolls, was a big hit with our group. I'd buy more of these if they came as separate attachments.
5. Grubtube- works well for dough cups, like the Grubpocket. We didn't have crepes to make bigger tubes but assume it would work equally well for that.
6. Bacon clip- utterly useless unless using thinly sliced bacon since the clip does not open out wide enough to accommodate our regular-cut bacon.
7. Release tool, grabber, hot pad, carry bag- worked as expected.

Overall we liked the accessories and hope they make individual accessories available in the future as I would really like a couple more Grubpockets and Cages without having to purchase the whole kit.

Quick customer service from Grubstick when I recieved a broken part.

How do you review using a product if it breaks while your taking it out of the plastic bag? The female screw end piece fell off when I tried extending it. It looks like there was two spot welds or even maybe just adhesive applied but it didn't hold. I was going to give one star but the other parts look like they have decent construction. I have already contacted the manufacturer through their contact page on the their website. I will give an update if they reply back with a solution.

Just a few minutes after I contacted Grubstick about the broken screw end they replied back and will be replacing the broken item. That was one of the fastest replies I've had with customer service via email. I will update again once I receive the replacement.

I just received a replacement handle along with a hand written note and some extra parts for the troubles. My experience with Grubstick customer service has been excellent. I did use it over the weekend and the modular parts were really convenient and easy to use. I have adjusted my rating accordingly.

I cannot overstate the poor quality of the stick itself, the weld on the handle broke during the first use. As I went to extend the handle to give it so my daughter to make a smore on the 4th the handle came apart from the stick. The quality is on par with a seven year old's shop project. I made a piggy bank 25 years ago that is better quality than this. This product is a great concept but the lack of attention to quality makes it a total failure. Instead of paying $30-$150 for these sets I suggest investing that money with someone who knows how to weld to develop a competing product of quality and then you'll actually have the last roasting stick you'll ever need....as advertised.

Screw fell off when heated rendering useless

I was so excited when this arrived and it arrived just in time for the long weekend. We used it once when it broke. The piece on the handle that allows you to change the attachments fell off as soon as it was heated. The rest is built well but without this piece the whole thing is useless.

I was one of the Kickstarter backers on this and was thrilled to see it on Amazon too. I've used it many times now, and it never fails. I've recommended it to many friends, it's a great kit! If you like campfires, this is a must have!

I bought the 4 stick pack of these back in May. The product worked amazing on a family trip we took here in late July. Fire roasted veggies with the 4 baskets are a real game changer when it comes to camping. Only problem is one of sticks malfunctioned. The end where where the screw attaches to the stick just came loose and fell off. Hoping the company will replace, working on contacting them now. Otherwise this is the greatest camping invention in years.

I've used the Grubstick a couple of times since purchase. It works very well for cooking s'mores or other small items. I also tried using the Grubcage to heat entire s'mores. You should heat the marshmallows first, but the cage works well for warming the chocolate slightly more after. The release tool worked well for opening the cage and is a nice touch that other brands have lacked. Fully telescoped out, the Grubstick can feel just a bit thin or weak but is still sturdy. I also used the Grubstick extensively for prodding the fire throughout the night which I'm sure is not a recommended use and subjected it to very extreme heat, but it held up well nonetheless without any issue. My biggest suggestion for improvement would be that the attachments that screw on still feel a bit too easy to unscrew.

High Quality Product

I highly recommend the Grub Stick to those who enjoy camping or just cooking over a fire. I was shocked with the high quality material that was used for the Grub Stick design. There is no other way to prepare a meal while camping. We have cooked everything from grilled cheese sandwiches to burgers to desserts. Our new family camping tradition is to see who can come up with the most creative s'mores recipe. Love the GRUB STICK!!!

Misleading advertizing and questionable quality

The seller's ad leads one to believe that this is a kit for 4 people to use at once. Instead, it is merely one basket interchangeable with a skewer. Only one person may use this at a time. Terrible value--30 dollars for this??? It also does not appear to be sturdy, could easily bend or break. It does not look like quality stainless steel. Have not used it yet! I plan to update this review, to identify if, in fact, it DOES hold up.

I am writing a review of my own opinion of the Grubstick. Which I Recieved at a discounted price in exchange.
I really like this Grill Stick from Grubstick. Unfortunately the broil/grill basket is not going to be large enough for me.
Great for Smores, hotdogs, sausages, etc.

I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Bc the broil/grill basket is to small for my liking.
If you made your own hamburgers from scratch. I believe you can make them fit.
But if you want to use frozen patties like I do. Then this item with be to small.
