Pockets are too small

This seemed like such a good idea. I should have thought it through, though, because the pockets are small enough that they aren't able to hold much soil and water, so dry out very fast. If you are home every day to water, this would probably work. I, however, left for the weekend and came back to very dry soil and dying plants.

Vertical Garden Made Easy

I'm glad I gave this product a try. I had been wanting to try a vertical garden for some time and this hanger made it easy. The size was what I had expected based on the dimensions shown in the pictures. It hung easily and laid flat against the wall.

Each pocket fit 2-3, 3 inch potted plants or 1, 5 inch potted plant.

I lined each pocket with a large ziploc bag to keep the felt from getting to wet, help with humidity and make it easier to clean up if anything dies.

I'm using this in my shower because when you water it, the water comes out the back. I don't know what people do when they hang it on a wall- maybe put a plastic backing up or something. You could water it in the shower then move it back maybe.

Seemed pretty stiff at first, but once you put soil and plants and water it becomes softer. The pouches can carry enough soil and plants are thriving after more than one month of use.

When things seem too good to be true...

There are a couple of problems with this item. First of all, it is super tiny. You can barely fit 2 plays per shelf. I could get over that as it is my fault I didn't pay more attention to the fins listed in the description but my main problem is that the water drains completely out. I can't imagine many plants would thrive in this design. The dirt gets so dry that when you try to water the plants, the dirt just pours out of the top of the pocket along with the water. I am attempting a return. Also I now have 50 dollars worth of plants that are dying and I need to buy another planter to try to replant and save them.

I should have read the measurements on this . . . Lol it was tiny. But its actually very well made. I can pack it and get heavy with water and the dirt doesint show trough. Its a very thick felt like material its stiched well. Still worth the 13 dollars i paid.

I do love the look and I'm hoping for the best. But I wish the pockets were deeper so the soil wouldn't fall out so easily in a hard rain (the pockets flood and the dirt spills out with the water). I did use water absorbing crystals to try to help them when it is dry because they dry out fast. I expected that. Just like small pots.
