Appropriately named tool

Works exactly as advertised. Haven't travelled on an aircraft with it yet but a TSA friend of mine took one look at it and said it would not be a problem. I did sharpen the cutting edge a bit. Original edge was fine for opening boxes. I wanted it sharper to cut cords. I've used all its functions except the friction saw. All functions work as expected. I wear it around my neck 24/7 with a piece of ferrocerium rod.

Useful and Unobtrusive

I've been carrying around the B.A.T. coin for several months now. I'm a big believer in EDC that you can keep on your body and this thing fits the bill for me. 10 functions that I've been wearing on a necklace has replaced a small piece of hacksaw blade I used with my ferro rod. It's hardly noticeable; most of the time I forget I have it on. So far the most useful functions for me are to spark my ferro and having that emergency (protected) cutting edge handy. I like that edge especially because I'm not a huge fan of gumming up my pocket knife with packing tape adhesive or risking cutting into whatever's in the box I'm opening. Using the B.A.T. saves my edge, and saving wear in my good knife is always appreciated. If I had one criticism it would be that I wish the edge were sharper, but then it wouldn't be so TSA friendly which is a major point of the tool, and a major plus for those people who fly.
I'm not a huge fan of a lot of the EDC stuff I see going around these days. I believe most of it is extraneous junk that doesn't do anything but weigh down your pants and allow you to show off with a "pocket dump" picture.
The bottom line for the B.A.T. is that in a world were people are paying $50 for stuff like hand-turned beads to adorn the custom paracord lanyards of their antiqued copper Chapstick sheaths, spending a little coin on an actually useful piece of kit you can slip on a necklace or lace on a boot seems like a no-brainer.

Great addition to my EDC

My B.A.T. is typically attached to a small paracord as a zipper pull on my everyday backpack. It's come in handy numerous times for various tasks and it's so small, I can easily transfer it to my other gear when I hike, camp, and bike. Really amazing how many useful functions are in such a tiny form factor.

I always have the B.A.T. coin on me and I find myself using it constantly. It truly does replace a much larger multitool for many tasks. I have given several as gifts and everyone has been impressed with this handy tool.
