I really, really want to like this product but...by Seth (3 out of 5 stars)

...I have some concerns. The following are my thoughts after a week of use.
Let me start by saying I owned both a Tile and a KeySmart prior to them being combined into this product, branded the Keysmart Pro. I loved both products and bought this as soon as I discovered it, even at the less than attractive price of $60.
Size wise, it's quite a bit larger than the original but this is to be expected with the Tile having to be housed inside. The tradeoff is worth it in my opinion. That said, I sincerely hope the new feature added - a flashlight - did not contribute to the increased size. While it's an okay addition, it has limited use and very much feels like an afterthought. Anyone using this product has their phone (since that's how you locate Tile products) which has a far more powerful flashlight.
The product comes with everything you need. Spacers, USB charger and key loop/bottle opener. It did not come fully charged, so if you purchase this product, be sure to do that. Still, that's a small luxury and not something I'll hold against it. What I will hold against it is the material choices.
Let me be clear: whatever plastic the design team chose is soft and has the durability of a wet paper towel. The original KeySmart was an all metal construction and held up extremely well. While I understand that having to house the Tile components probably necessitated the change to a plastic body, there are far better options that are much more durable. After just a week of use, there are already several heavy knicks in the body.
The spacers, which also used to be metal, are now made of a flimsy feeling material I cannot identify. Stronger than cardboard, less so than metal. The screws that secure each side of the body used to fit nicely into posts built in the opposite side in the original KeySmart. Those screws now protrude through the body which really diminishes the minimalist feel that the original KeySmart had achieved so greatly.
Overall, all components have a very cheap feel despite the premium price point and the flashlight is a short step above useless. I am very disappointed in this regard because I love the idea of this product so much. I can only hope future versions revisit the design phase of development. As much as it pains me to say it, this product simply isn't worth it at this price.
Edit: I'm noticing a lot of positive/5-star reviews are not verified purchasers. Make of that what you will.
Horrible replacement horrible services

My key smart stopped working after a few months. I contacted tile thru my app then went thru the steps found out it was defective. Call keysmart to get it replaced due to it having a 2 yr warranty they said no because I get it from amazon. Amazon refuses to replace it. The 3rd party we got it from won't respond so I got a non working smart key and everyone just says sorry can't help. So not happy with the customer service I got from all of these companies. I will be telling everyone I know the level of service I got and tell them tile is not worth buying.
cover plastic yellows quickly; battery life may be an issue

I really do like this product, but having had it for about two months, there are two issues that preclude me giving it five stars
1) I'm a little disappointed with the battery life. Perhaps I had too high expectations, I thought I had read somewhere that the a charge should last "months," I was expecting to charge it only 4-5 times per year, but I can't find any reference to that, so maybe I made it up in my head. Still, I've had it two months and at least twice I was surprised by the battery being dead. It would be nice if there was some sort of warning, perhaps chirping every few hours or flashing the light, to let you know the battery was about to expire. Obviously if the battery goes dead when the keys are lost, this can be a potentially huge problem. I won't really count this, though, because I'm not sure how long it lasts, and I suppose now that I know, charging every few weeks is no big deal. Still, I wish there was some sort of warning.
2) The plastic on the battery cover is an entirely different and softer plastic than the rest of the unit, which causes it to yellow quickly. As noted, I've had it only two months, and the cover is already a sickly shade that stands out badly compared to the rest of the unit.
Epic customer service failure; last KeySmart purchase for me and no longer recommend to others.

While I have purchased numerous KeySmart key chains and accessories over the past 3 years for myself and gifts, I will no longer be a KeySmart customer going forward. While I have also spoken very favorably of them to others who inquired about my various KeySmart key chains in the past, that will end now as well.
While the products have historically stood up very well for me, the built-in Tile function of this particular product stopped working within a couple months of usage for no apparent reason (e.g., no hard drops, no water exposure). Charging the device, reinstalling the app, confirming all settings, etc. did not make a difference. I know it was the device as another KeySmart Pro Tile worked with the same phone and app without issue.
The reason for the one star is purely from a customer service perspective. I requested a warranty claim / replacement (I was an early purchaser and received a discount so wanted a replacement not a refund as would cost me an additional ~ 25% to replace something which failed after only a couple months usage). I received an email confirming that I would receive an exchange / replacement once I mailed the original broken one too them.
For whatever reason, the person who received the broken one decided to process it as a return. After multiple attempts of explaining my situation, they refused to credit me the additional ~ $15 it was going to take me to repurchase and replace the unit.
I am not looking to "nickle and dime" or get something for free, rather to simply have them follow their own warranty process and honor what they confirmed in writing prior to me mailing the broken one back.
I have literally spent hundreds of dollars on their products to date, so this is not about the money - though out of principle since they are not taking responsibility for improperly handling the warranty claim.
Does not hold a charge for longer than 24 hours.

This product states it holds a charge up to 45 days once fully charged.
Unfortunately, it actually does within 48 hours of being fully charged. And it does so every time you charge it. It hold no charge of any worth.
My husband is an airline pilot. He charged the tile, went to work, and in less than two days, it died. To make matters worse, his keys were left behind on one of his legs and because the tile was dead while on one three-day trip, we have been unable to locate them.
We were told by the company that "your tile will eventually die after a few years of charging it and using it.
But this was a gift to my husband for father's day...THIS year...2018! I gave it to him one month ago and it won't even hold a charge for three days.

I really wanted to like this but there's too many bad things to keep me from using it. It's a huge hassle to put the thing together when you first get it, assembling a ship in a bottle while drunk is probably easier. Once you get it up and going (then take it apart once you realize quirks about how your keys should fit together) you realize that it's too much of a hassle to get the key you want and it just sits in your pocket wrong and always needs to be adjusted. Also the flashlight button sits flush and has no differing texture so the only realistic way to use the flashlight is to see the tiny button or mash around with your fingernail until you find it, not super great when it's dark and you need a flashlight. I'll use it for something but definitely not for my everyday keys. I would not recommend this product.
Needs a lot of improvement

I ordered this product on June 12, and have been using it for about 3 months. I keep my keys in my desk drawer at work and rarely use them except to get in and out of my house. After 3 months of very light usage, the plastic frame broke and it is useless. The plastic is very cheap and brittle. The USB cover also took on the yellow color almost immediately. The tile features of the keysmart are super cool, i just wish they spent money on better quality materials.
I thought I would love it but I don't.

I purchased this at a discount as a lightning deal so it will not show as a "verified purchase". I am a long time user of an original keysmart extended. I loved it. I expected to love this. I do not.
Weak Flimsy Feeling: The basic keysmart and keysmart extended are made from metal and are quite durable. I skipped the "keysmart rugged" because I didn't see a need for it. I was quite shocked to find the keysmart pro made from plastic. The side opposite the tile and flashlight function is easily bendable and feels extremely cheap. When assembled you can squeeze it gently and it will bend a lot. I was not expecting such a downturn in durability and quality on the new most expensive keysmart.
Additional Bulk: Somehow the keysmart pro manages to feel cheap and flimsy while actually being much more bulky than the original. I expected additional bulk on one side for the Tile and flashlight function. I was not expecting additional bulk around the screws. For example, the old "loop" that one would use a ring or a clip to attach a car's key fob won't work with this keysmart because the plastic protrudes further past the screws. It comes with a new loop and bottle opener combo. I don't need the bottle opener and I would have preferred to use the old loop. On my old keysmart extended I was able to put my car key on one side and the loop on the opposite side. Since i'm unable to do that now I have had to put a bunch of spacers opposite the car key which has added an entire key width to the keysmart. I will probably end up cutting off the bottle opener but that will be a pain. Also, I have a small key for a lock-box inside my car that was just long enough before that will no longer reach with the new keysmart pro.
Garbage Flashlight: The flashlight seems like a cool idea but it's a really bad flashlight. It barely puts out any light and has no "throw" or range at all. It's too dim to illuminate a footpath or find something under a car seat. It's basically only good for maybe seeing a keyhole to guide a key into a lock but it only will work for half your keys as it's only on one side.
Tile Doesn't Work Well: The main feature of the keysmart pro is the inclusion of Tile functionality. In my testing the Tile app will frequently stop working. I have tried "locking" it in multitasking so it doesn't close and turning off all power saving settings and it still stops working. If you lose your keys and the Tile app stops working you can always reboot the phone and use the app again to locate the keys. However, the keysmart pro doesn't ring very loud. I have experimented leaving my keys in my backpack and jacket. You probably won't hear your keys ring in another room or closet. You will then be relying on the visual representation of the bluetooth connection your phone and keys have with each other. This is not directional and it is prone to interference. You may be closer to your keys or you may be further from wifi or microwave signals that interfere with the signal. If you lose your phone the button on the keysmart pro probably won't make the phone ring like it's supposed to. I've found this half of the Tile functionality to be completely unreliable. I'm fairly organized and I don't lose my keys. I often set my phone down when I'm lifting something heavy so I don't risk breaking a screen so I had hoped the phone finding function would be more useful but I'm just using android's find my phone anyway.
In summary, I find the keysmart pro to be flimsy and the additional functions to be unreliable for the way that I would use them. The keysmart pro is not worth the added bulk or cost for me. If you If you don't already have a keysmart and you are the type to lose your keys this could be a nice self contained way to add both keysmart and tracking. For a forgetful person the snowball's chance that this gives you to find your keys, not call a locksmith, not need to replace an expensive transponder key, or copy and replace your keys in general can be worth it. I will probably go back to my old keysmart and give the "pro" to that person I know who manages to lose something every 5 minutes.
Great Replacement for the original KeySmart

I was happy with my original KeySmart but when I found out about the KeySmart Pro with Tile, I just had to get it! This is longer than my original and made of plastic. If it was metal I would give it 5 stars. I also like having a rechargeable Tile built into it.
The Tile devices are great but replacing them annually when the battery dies does get costly. This Is rechargeable so it will pay for itself over time and this freed up the Tile I was using for my original KeySmart.
The package arrived on schedule and I quickly added my keys (this was a little frustrating but it was worth the effort not having to listen to my keys jingle on my belt clip).
Finally, the built in light is useful as well. One press for quick use and double press for approximately 8 seconds of light.
The hardware is great, but the battery life really sucks

The hardware is great, but the battery life really sucks. It totally doesn't last 60 days after a full charge. The battery lasts maybe one or two days.
