Smoke something :)by Katherine Tan (4 out of 5 stars)

I got this maybe a week after it was available on Amazon and have had it about 3 1/2 months now. Overall, it was exactly what I was looking for. I moved into a smaller apartment and lost my lanai space so I got this in place of my full size outdoor smoker. There is a learning curve, if you have a smaller stove (like me) it has to sit in the front to keep completely closed. I also used my own Weber wood chips with a dusting of the instant dust they included bc my first chicken tasted weird. I have done a whole chicken, fish fillets, cedar salmon wood planked fillets, 2 racks of pork ribs and one meaty rack of beef ribs. I have yet to try a brisket because I want to try it while camping or something outdoors since it would be 6+ hours. ALSO, works glorious outdoors on a fire pit, the Littles made s'mores but smoked the graham crackers for like a minute and it was delicious!
Also, I cold smoked some fruit in it with a smoke gun and it definitely contains the smoke. Good buy for the price! (And I paid full price hahah). I was eye the Nordic one but this was a taller space so I got a couple extra racks and have been having fun since! Cleans easy and stores away in the fridge. I dig it!
Smoke Gets In Your Eyes

While a truly great idea, this implementation fails to impress. First of all the good. The built-in temperature gauge is fantastic! Any stovetop smoke without one is not worth its price. The gauge removes all doubt whether you in the "zone" for perfect flavor. For my first cook out the gate, it worked as advertised! My food was flavorful and perfect! I even cooked beef and shrimp at the same time with excellent results. If it operated like that 1000 more times I would consider it 80 dollars well spent. Unfortunately, 1 out of two times and I am sending it back.
So here is the bad. The top does not give you a good seal without seriously working at it. During the first cook it was a little troublesome but during my second cook I could not get a good seal at all. It let all the smoke out, burned my eyes and now my home smells like a smoke hut. After the first use I allowed it to sit, covered for 5 hours before I let any water touch it because I did not want to warp it cooling it down too fast. It did not matter apparently. Also, all the handles are covered with that rubber material that is supposed to remain cool to the touch however, the side handles get really hot so, don't touch them. I would have loved for this to have worked. The is idea is great but at this price point, It should perform much better.
The wood chips that come with it are very fine and tend to burn fast

This smoker works well. Can be used on top of a stove. Will emit a small amount of smoke. Should use with stove vent on. Doesn't emit a lot of smoke, just enough to get the smell inside, especially if you have to lift the top off. I also use mine on top of an induction burner on the patio, a regular burner doesn't work because they cycle on/off so it doesn't keep the heat up, an induction burner does. It also comes with a drip pan on the inside. If you use it without the drip pan, the heat tends to rise a lot higher if needed. The wood chips that come with it are very fine and tend to burn fast, so you may have to add more while smoking. I just got a bag of regular chips. You can get them at any Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart. They fit well under the grill or drip pan and burn well and longer. I live in a condo and this is exactly what I was looking for.
If you cant smoke on your patio. This works

The only choice for apartment dwellers. Not as good as an outdoor smoker. The drop pan is difficult to clean as materials stick to it. Meat lacks caramelization and you will need a toaster oven to achieve that. Finally it does leak smoke perhaps due to material build up corrupting the seal.
Good indoor smoker for induction cook top

Purchased this smoker as was interested in this type of indoor cooking, and needed a smoker that would work on an Induction cook top (and this one does!). Read reviews on several other smokers, and this one fits the bill. Is very well made, and the bottom of the pan is not painted, so nothing to wear off. The whole thing (except for the thermometer that is easily removed from the cover) can go into the dishwasher or be washed by hand - is easy to clean. Is a bit of a learning curve to get the cook top temperature correct, but having fun trying. Have cooked three things so far - a steak, smoked meatloaf, and chicken breasts - and all have turned out pretty good. One does need to broil items after cooking if want any browning or caramelization, as this cooker does not 'brown' foods, only smokes them. Recipes for this smoker give ideas on what can be smoked and what to do to achieve browning. Where I have found recipes is on the Companion Group website (can sign up for their newsletter and get a PDF of their cookbook), and on the website for Cameron smoker (these can be modified to use in the Kitchenque smoker). Fun addition to kitchen equipment!

Life changing. I cook everything in this thing. It is like having an indoor grill. I fon't always use wood chips. I put potatoes in foil, season, and ummmm ummmm. My point, cooks everything.
I really impressed of the results

This indoors smoker produces very good tastes. I didn't expect to get really good tastes, but it does makes the food smoked and taste very good and balanced taste. It is build well with heavy metal. Yes, it is not as good as outdoors heavy duty smoker, but for home use - is very good ! It does make a small of burned wood. But with windows open and the use of vent, the smell is gone.

Several successful smoking sessions by a complete cold-start beginner. Lots to learn, especially if you've never smoked anything in your life! Quality product, easy to clean, good size. Glad I bought it. Some great smoked salmon, and a few other things!
I love it! Easy to clean!

I ordered this because I can't get to my BBQ during the winter and I love smoked foods. I tried it with chicken thighs when it came in a couple of days ago. The taste was fantastic! The skin was crispy, and the chicken cooked well and fairly quickly. I'll be buying the mesquite wood for it as it came with hickory and I prefer mesquite. I'll also buy some of the accessories.
Best purchase decision ever!!
