This has an overall cute effect when looking at it and it's definitely a good office mug to use. It holds more than enough coffee and it fits most mug warmers. However, I found that the lid on the top doesn't fit very well to the mug. That wouldn't be such a big deal if it didn't add so much to the over all effect to the mug. I mean the lid is really what makes it look like a carafe. It looks as though the lid should snap on in place. It doesn't have any hinges which is what I expected. I included a photo of how the lid doesn't fit. It just sits on top loosly and if you were to take a drink it would just slide right off. But I could also see the lid being annoying if it did actually snap on. With pouring coffee and drinking but it's just a cute cup. I think it's the perfect size. Usually novelty mugs are oversized and I really dislike that. This isn't small but it isn't too big. I'm pretty sure the quantity markings are accurate. Over all I really think this is cute and we get a lot of use out of it. I was a bit disappointed by the lid not being functional but it's not that big of a deal. Makes a really good gift.

Great idea but poor execution. The lid can easily fall into your hot coffee and once it does that the plastic loses its shape and you can't ever get it to fit correctly again. Also you can't really drink out of the mug with the lid on because the openings are cut too small. Glass is a cheap single wall so the coffee gets cold extremely fast. For $17-20 it's not a good buy.

Best as just a novelty idea

I bought this thinking that it could be my main coffee cup, but after buying the Presto MyJo Coffee Maker, it made me reconsider. The MyJo is a manual k-cup coffee maker where you press down on a plunger type top to force water through a k-cup and into your coffee cup. I don't trust using that with this glass mug. First off, the top of the handle is held in place by overlapping the rim of the cup. Therefore I don't have a completely flat surface to press down upon. That handle also is very irritating if you hand wash this cup. The lid aesthetically looks great, but felt awkward if trying to drink from the mug while it's on. I was a little surprised that it was just placed on top and not hinged to the handle in some way. This could make a great pot for 20oz of coffee... or two cups of coffee. I probably won't use it like that because then I'd need to wash two things at work just for coffee.

This little pot is the best thing since sliced bread! I love it and all my coworkers love it too. They've even been asking me where I got it from. I haven't had a problem with my coffee getting cold too fast in it. It keeps it nice and hot. If I had to give one criticism, I would say that the lid doesn't fit that well on the lip of the pot, but if you don't bother it, it will stay in place. I would highly recommend this fun little pot as a replacement for your typical coffee mug!

I got this mug as a gift for a friend. She loves it! It is quite large (20 oz) so she rarely fills it up. You cannot put it in the microwave because of the metal ring around the bottom. It has a flat bottom and works great if you have a mug warmer however the glass gets unbearably hot if the temperature is set too high so be careful. Additionally, she threw out the lid that comes with it because it was a bit cumbersome for her. She somehow kept dropping the lid into the mug and prefers the mug without it. Overall, she is happy with the gift.

This is a great display gift but drinking from it is hard. The glass is so hot you can't put your lips to it to sip
