If Pure Volume Of Fire And/Or OVERWHELMING Force Is Your Thing....You Have Found Your Nerf Gun!by Ironhead (5 out of 5 stars)

Look, I'm an old man, Ancient by Nerf standards. I had some of the very first Nerf dart shooters and I have dabbled in the hobby on and off ever since. This is the very first Nerf gun I have ever owned, that met and exceeded every single expectation I had. This thing is a bullet hose and I freekin LOVE it.
I'll pro con it for you in a minute, but lets talk for a moment, just you and me.... Lately Nerf battles have begun to break out in our office. There was the odd hammershot, a Kronos or two. Before long the mega blasters arrived with their whistling foam sticks of doom. Soon things escalated to magazine fed nerf rifles, and then the flywheel blasters arrived. I contented myself for a time with two hammershots (upgraded of course). They were accurate and with the 7 round 3d printed cylinders they had plenty of power. One day I decided I was not content to come out slightly on top of the game, I wanted to scare people back into their cubes or punish them severely for daring to take a cheap shot at me. I bought a Nemesis, and I was disappointed. It's not bad, but not nearly what I expected. Then this bad boy went on sale for Black Friday, I held off as long as I could, we have a baby on the way after all. In the end I was weak and I pulled the trigger. Boy am I glad I did! This thing blows away all my expectations it is an absolute monster, and after one day on the floor NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE wants to even think about taking a shot at me. This baby absolutely BURRIES people in balls. The rate of fire is absurd, the power is outstanding, and the reactions it gets are second to none!
Brass Tax Time:
Pro's:
Unmatched Rate of Fire (nothing else Nerf makes is even close to this rate of fire)
Excellent velocity (often times rate of fire takes the place of good power, this baby has both)
Holds ~275 rounds (and trust me you will need them)
Includes 200 balls (Even if you go aftermarket that's 30 bucks worth of ammo, if you go Nerf it's closer to $50)
Includes rechargeable battery (It's proprietary so it only works with this blaster, but still there are no batteries to buy...EVER)
Looks like a monster (It's bite is every bit as bad, if not worse, than it's bark)
Cons:
Difficult to Aim, there is no way to aim this thing well. This is a volume of fire blaster and not a precision instrument. I have hit several innocents due to my first rounds going high and carrying a VERY long way across the office.
After you let someone have it you have to go pick up HUGE amounts of spent ammunition. 8 seconds of fun means 5 minutes of gathering up your ammo.
Normally I ding flywheel blasters for having to spin up, but this thing spins up nearly instantly. Blaster is hands down better than the nemesis. I would never pay the retail price of $199 for ANY Nerf blaster, that includes this one even as good as it is. I bought it on sale for $89 on black Friday and for that price it is a STEAL. My limit on a silly fun expense like this is around $100, and it's still a hell of a deal for that price. I would imagine you can get this thing for $120 and if you can I would consider that a good price on a great blaster. How much a toy blaster is worth to you, I can't say, but I'm confident once you pull the trigger you won't be able to take the smile off your face!

This is it. The most awesome Nerf gun ever created. A professionally manufactured gun that RIVALS the modified models. 8 rounds per second. Capacity for over 200 rounds. This is not a gun for precision, but rather the joys of showering an opponent with a few hundred rounds in about 30 seconds. Its pricey, but keep in mind this awesome gun comes with a rechargeable battery, which usually retails around $30, and 200 rounds, which is usually around $50.
Great gun if you can handle it

Great gun, awesome power, but it is a little awkward to aim since it's so big and bulky and you need to push two triggers simultaneously. My husband loves to just randomly whip this thing out and shoot all of us, especially when we have visitors, the mature man that he is. I do feel like $200 is a bit steep, but most of the guns in this line are a bit over priced. I personally have the Artemis and snagged it at $25 which was a steal, so I bought 3 more, lol. All in all this gun is great, just wish it was easier to aim, but when you have as many high powered balls shooting out as you do with this gun, you really don't need to be spot on. Just be prepared to lift furniture up to get back all the ammo that went flying into every nook and cranny. Loads of fun
The true King of all Nerf blasters

I knew that this was a very good blaster. I decided to put it onto my Christmas list. I received it and had it running in 5 mins. The blaster has many pros and a few cons.
PROS:
High rate of fire
Shoots very hard
200 rounds is incredible. It can even hold comfortably 250 rounds and still work
I was able to operate this blaster with ease and I am only 12
Not to cramped for adults
Comfortable handles
Defeats all blasters in a war
Looks intimidating and cool
Battery lasts for quite some time
Could be used as a turret at a base
Fast and easy reload and unload
Easy to unjam
CONS:
The blaster is not traditional, you hold it by your waist instead of on your shoulder. Some may not like that.
Younger kids may not be able to lift it
Shoots hard and fast, little ones may cry if hit
$200 is really expensive
You could lose rounds quite easy, and rounds are not super cheap
I think that this blaster is the game winner. Do not get for people that cry when hit. Do not buy for kids that can not life heavy blasters. Great for competitions because you can hold down the trigger and take down a whole group. Definitely a heavy gunner's weapon. All hail: The kind of Rival blasters(and possibly all of Nerf blasters, too!)

I bought two of these for my two boys for Christmas. From a kid's perspective, this is the best Nerf gun ever made. From a mom's perspective, this is a chaotic mess maker! LOL It's powerful and shoots little Nerf balls at a high rate of speed. Just the sound of the motor coming on sends whichever kid that isn't armed with Nerf defense diving for cover. The little balls go everywhere, and considering I've been the target on more than one occasion, I know first hand that they sting a bit when they hit you! I get my revenge by waking my kids up in the morning with it... :-)
Most powerful nerf and rival to date! A must own for the serious Nerf

Amazing piece of nerf engineering. This thing spits ammo so fast. Easily the best nerf ever!
Although it's a large gun, it is smaller than I imagined. The fact it's a waistline firing blaster relieves any weight. I'm 6'0" and can fire with one arm! Room for a 2nd Promtheus, yeah I'll be that dude.
Best nerf blaster ever!!!! (except for the cleanup afterwards)

Gotta say I love this nerf blaster. Its just ridiculously over-powered and target practice against my 3 kids is a real treat. The only down-side is recovering all the nerf-balls afterwards. Personally I don't think this is worth $200 but if you catch on sale (like I did) it is a great addition to any nerf arsenal.... Props to Nerf for including a rechargeable battery with this one.
What you need to know about the Nerf Rival Prometheus MXVIII-20K

When we came across this product in a retail store at $199, it was tough to justify the purchase, but when it went on sale here at Amazon for $85 and change, it was a must-have. At $85 this a great Nerf value. However, before you buy, there's some stuff you need to know.
The Bad
It is expensive at regular retail. Amazon regularly sells it for $140 to $199.
It is heavy and large. Smaller people may find that more than a few minutes holding this thing will be too much.
The rechargeable battery pack will run down and leave you without a usable blaster until it recharges.
Rival ammo is expensive. You'll pay $20 for 50 more rounds. You'll need more.
8 rounds per second is a max rate of speed. Speed goes down as the hopper empties and the battery runs down.
The Good
This blaster is a blast. You'll find things that you want to shoot. Hours of fun for anyone.
With a full hopper and a full battery, you get up to 8 rounds per second.
It is a cool piece of machinery.
A rechargeable battery means you'll never need to buy alkaline batteries

I bought this on the simple fact I thought it would be fun to ambush my wife when she got home from work. Well worth it. Easy to operate and I plan on going into the office with this to ensure chaos on my co workers lol. If you can get it on sale at $120 thats a steal. I paid $150 and they retail for $200.

Just like the infamous "red ring of death!" back in the Xbox 360 console, this Nerf Rival Prometheus suffers from what may seem to be a wiring or battery glitch! I'm surprise not a whole lot of people talking about this online except for couple of reviews here. Essentially what it is, the gun's indicator would show solid green which supposedly means fully charged! However, you press the triggers and nothing happens! Totally non working!
I have tried the reset button which a combination of just clicking it once and the light green would go out and come back on or holding it down in variety of seconds. Nothing works! Mind you this is from a fully charged state! I would sometimes get lucky and it would work again by putting it back on the charger and let it sit blinking for a little while. But as soon as you're done firing it and let it go on standby mode, the next time you awake it, the problem comes back!
I am on my second unit and both had the same issues! The first one was from here and my second one is from Kmart. It can't be just bad luck or coincidence. Good thing I didn't pay $200 for this but even at a discounted price, I would expect for this to work smoothly! I've been wanting this and been anticipating a price drop and I can't believe I can't enjoy this because of this flaw! This would have been the Nerf gun to rule em all!
I've reach out to Hasbro and awaiting a response which hopefully would yield a good news! Otherwise, if this persist, I think I'm gonna return this unit and call it quits. If anyone out there have a permanent solution or any kind of remedy at all, please don't hesitate to let me know.
