assembled well and easy. Versatile, handy, compact. I have not used it yet for shoveling snow and this is the 4 star rating.

Honestly, after reading the previous review, I feel the need to write this review. Yes, the shovels did come a few months late and yes their not fully solid like a fixed shovel. But seriously, it's a crowdfunding website. What did you expect? It's not like shopping for cloth online where your buying things from an established company where everything is already mass produced. So if your not willing to wait a few extra months so that DMOS could perfect their design and ship the shovel than you probably don't deserve the shovel. Also as for the solidity of the shovel. I do agree with you. However, what did you expect when buying a telescopic shovel? Sure it's not perfect, but I believe that they did their best to minimize the wobbling when the shovel is fully extended. Another thing that you didn't mention is that the shovel is built like a tank. I personally tried to jump on it and it didn't even bend. Also, the teeth as the tip of the shovel make it great for breaking the ice. Anyways, I just wanted to get that off my chest. Below I have attached pictures of my alpha shovel. Lastly, remember this is probably the only shovel on the market that isn't made out of plastic or thin sheet metal.

I backed the Alpha via KickStarter and just got ot use it this year. The thing is bad ass! It chewed right through the snow without even a thought. Icy bottom no problem with the Serrated teeth it bit right in. Handles the heavy wet stuff like a champion shovel. You won't find a better quality shovel out there! If you're balking at the price tag just remember how often you're replacing those plastic shovels or the Aluminum Scoop Shovels every couple years. The Alpha will hold us I assure you

Does not stand up to driveway shoveling

I backed the kickstarter and within the first use on my driveway the black color was fully worn off the underside of the shovel. The shovel may work in certain environments, but it is not useful for the most common usage.

Ordered this Alpha shovel for my husband. He opened the box on Christmas and saw it was the stealth. There is a Size and price difference between the two. I tried calling the customer service number but no one answered and it wanted me to leave a message.

Excellent For Icy Hard Pack Snow/Ice

I ordered this directly from DMOS after receiving the Stealth from Amazon (sub by another company), either sent intentionally/fraudulently or ignorance. Of course Amazon was helpful for the return and credit. Needing it for the snow in upstate NY I ordered directly from DMOS by phone. Their customer service was excellent and I received the shovel very quickly. It is great. Yes it's a bit rickety, the result of the portability/folding design. But, for shoveling crusty icy snow/packed snow it is far better than any other snow shovel I own or have used. I have a number of wooden decks/stairs and asphalt driveway. It picks up snow/ice effortlessly without scratching the wooden surfaces and prevents ice buildup, which used to result from shoveling snow using a conventional snow shovel.

I suggest that before purchasing this from Amazon attempt to clarify that is the Alpha not Stealth that you are buying (I complained to both Amazon and to DMOS about the substitution).
