An amazing invention with wonderful sound quality

The Kube is an amazing invention which is certainly a conversation piece. The sound quality is its best feature, combined with portability and 20+ hours of play without plugging in. I have brought it to several parties and you really have to see and hear it to believe it.

Kube comes packaged well with the handles ready for attachment with included tools. It took less than 2 minutes before I was able to stream music to it after connecting it to my home Wi-Fi. I normally keep it on my back patio next to the pool plugged in. This allows me to airplay or Spotify music to it without ever having to turn it on since it stays in standby mode. It's important to point out that connecting this way is FAR superior to Bluetooth since it significantly increases the range you have without the music dropping. If I'm having a party, I bring it closer to the pool so I don't have to turn the volume as high. I live on 4 acres but if you turn Kube all the way up, you can hear it down the hill about a half mile away, so I'm cognizant of my neighbors.

Obviously it can play loudly but the audio quality even at higher levels is what is most impressive. There is virtually no distortion whatsoever, and everyone that sees it for the first time can't believe the sound that comes out of this wireless box. Combine that with the fact that it is totally waterproof (you can put this in a tube and float with it down the river), and you have the perfect outdoor audio solution no matter where you want to take it. For comparison, I recently bought Klipsch speakers with a powergate amplifier, and the Kube is not only just as powerful, but is tuned better in my opinion. I only give it 4 stars instead of 5 because I think it is quite heavy, especially when full of ice and drinks. I can lift it by myself but prefer to have someone help me if available. I also bought it at $1349 only to see the price drop to $999 a week later. Now it's up to $1149 -- I wish the manufacturer would just settle on a consistent price and leave it there. I also think it should support Airplay 2, given this is a premium high quality sound system. It would also be nice if there were different colors you could order.

INCREDIBLE SOUND!

I received my KUBE from Amazon prime in two days and it barely fit through my front door. The item is packaged very well and it is easy to open up and set up, once you make some room to do so. The kit includes everything you need, including tools to put the handles on, which are a nice brushed aluminum finish. Once unpacked, I plugged it in and set up the wifi feature to sync with my streaming music accounts. This process took about 3 minutes to complete.

I consider myself an audiophile, and I enjoy listening to hi-fi music on a nice stereo system. Music makes me happy, especially when it is presented in a truthful manner. I can testify that the KUBE speaker has ample dynamic range and plenty of power to provide ample bass response in a large outdoor area. The bass and treble are very balanced and even at very high volumes, there was no distortion. I tried every genre of music, including hip-hop to make sure it handled the bass well, and it did! This cooler is perfect for tailgating, camping, boating, and outdoor parties. The only issue is the weight once you load it up... might not be the best to carry to the beach.

PROS:
- High quality sound, even at very high volume
- Long 50hr battery life (when playing at medium (which is very loud) volume
- Looks are awesome - people all want to know where I got it
- Very helpful LED light inside for night time use
- Comes with additional adapters for other countries and all necessary tools
- Easy to set up and get going!

CONS:
- Nearly 50lbs empty so not the most portable item, but I don't need to move it so no problem here
- It can be bulky in a trunk so it's best to transport via back seat or in a SUV

OVERALL I highly recommend this for anyone who wants great sound in their backyard, boat, or especially tailgating... this cooler cranks and the battery lasts a long time. The build quality is exceptional so I expect this to last a long time. Enjoy!

Could not connect the Wifi

I have to start that the concept is great and when I hard wired my iPad to it, the sound was amazing. Also, the materials were very nice and the overall presentation was impressive. So why return it? I couldn't get the wifi to connect to my iPhone, iPad or Mac. I followed the instructions to the letter and each time I got an error message. I looked to update the software and it couldn't be installed because the wifi wasn't connect to the internet. It is a shame.

On a side note the item I received was definitely reboxed. There were scuff marks on the casing and dried tape residue on the aluminum.

Discreet, Beautiful, Quality Sound

We were enamored with the Kube from the moment we saw it. As frequent entertainers living in a lake community, we use it constantly. It stays in our kitchen to head out to the deck on a moment's notice. It fits in the back of my SUV to cruise down to a neighbor's party. We even put it in our kids' Little Tikes wagon to take to the beach. Our friends and family thought our new cooler with push button open and LED light was very fancy and nice to grab a beer... and then they heard it. We DJ every small gathering or large party with it. We like to put it about 50 feet from where the party is and play it at higher volume when we have bigger crowds. Syncing it to bluetooth is easy and everything is played through your phone. I particularly enjoyed cranking it to compare to the running lawn mower in the yard. It's weathered through sandy beaches and rainy days just fine. If one person has to transport it for sound use, I'd suggest filling it as a cooler once you get to your destination.

I've been using the Kube for outdoor events for a few months now, and it is a game changer. We brought it to the kids soccer tournament and had the crowd jamming to stadium anthems like it was a professional event. We sit by the firepit and normal nights become dance parties.

What separates this from a normal speaker? Clean sounding bass that is not distorting the music and easy to set up wireless connections. No wasted time with complicated set ups.

The best comparison I can give is that the upgrade experience is similar to the first time I tried premium earbuds for a workout instead of the standard earbuds that came with my phone. Wow, I didn't know I needed it until I had it.

So I dont leave reviews often, and if I do I have either been seriously impressed, or have been left seriously disappointed in high dollar product that didn't perform or even meet half of it's claims...

It didn't take long to regret this purchase, and by that I mean my mother who thought it was the greatest thing ever. I am by no means a paid professional in the audio world, but I am extremely confident that I could pick out the differences between a speaker that puts out high quality sound, versus one that does not. To cut to the chase, the Kube is downright horrible, especially at its price point. Sure you have your storage space, and "marine" grade waterproof ratings... but the actual sound it throws out is similar that of a speaker priced around $75-$100. The highs are harsh, which leads to a fatigued ear... the mids are decent, and pretty much overpower everything at high volumes, and the lows are just... muddy, and dont offer any sort of real thump. The Kube claims 360 degrees of listening...not even close. The speaker has a hard time directing sound from various angles, and really has a hard time getting that sound towards its intended audience without being turned up to max volume. (Which leads to a serious degradation in music quality) I am by no means biased towards any given company, as I have bought, and still use all of the speakers I have purchased ranging from bluetooth to wireless, all the way to home stereo. If youre looking for something that'll give you more thump for your money while still providing cooler type storage, I would look into custom built ice chests that has speakers built into it. Something similar to a yeti or Rtic. My overall recommendation would have to be JBL's boombox. Its not often that a bluetooth speaker leaves my mouth hanging wide open... but that speaker left me speechless, and honestly still does.

To some everything up, save some money. Look for something else.

Life of the Party!

Kube is a portable party. We had an outdoor dance party in our backyard and the Kube was a huge hit. The sound is fantastic and everyone loved it. Literally felt like Kube was the guest of honor who was also the life of the party. It will spend most of it's time near our swimming pool during Summer. When not outside, my Kube is in my home office providing me with great sound, Perhaps overkill for a home office for sure, but it will put a smile on your face. We've had ours for a few months now so not able to speak to it's durability but it seems very, very well built. Also expecting to use Kube on the boat / near the lake / camping. Will update this review in a few months after more use. Still a little too heavy for the wife to carry on her own but fine for me.

First, be ready for lots of people to approach you and ask questions as they admire this marvelous piece of art. I took my first Kube tubing/camping and we all had a great time listening to music and charging our cell phones off the unit. It lasted all weekend with multiple, full volume sessions. This thing is incredible indoors and out. I purchased a second one so I can set them up as independent left and right channels. Once you've heard one play, imagine 2 in stereo!!!

I'm not sure what we did before having this incredible sound system. We originally planned on using it for big parties, events, gatherings, etc. out on our farm and for our company meetings/functions, but we have found, that we use it just as much around our house, pool, and yard. The sound is unbelieveable and everyone that hears it immediately wants to know where it's coming from! Now when our friends ask us to come over, they always ask to bring the KUBE. Not to mention, KUBE looks so interesting-- we just leave it sitting out all the time.
