I use it daily, but I wish it was better

I ordered two of these mugs directly from the manufacturer in April 2018. I use them almost daily, and I do love them; however, for the price, these might not be for everyone. I do hope the next revision of the mug improves on the functionality. I suppose I recommend them if you are ok with the price and cons listed below. If my cons were ever addressed, I would highly recommend the mug.

PROS:
- It works
- It charges easily. One of the charging plates had a loose connection, so I got a Belkin wireless charger that works great.
- It's hot! Almost too hot for my tastes.
- Dishwasher safe. Mine are in the dishwasher all the time. No issues.
- Two 30 mins heating cycles per charge have been sufficient.
- The bottom does not get hot. Only the sides of the mug are warm like you'd expect. It would be interesting to have a version of this mug with insulated sides.

CONS:
- Too hot! I wish there was a way to alter the temperature setting. A connected app perhaps? When the drink gets low, it also tends to overheat the small amount that is left. I wish it had better temperature regulation.
- I wish the heating cycle was longer than 30 minutes. I would be happy with a lower temperature if that meant I could get 45 mins out of it. If there was an app for the mug, it would be great to choose either two 30 minute cycles or one 60 minute cycle.
- The heating element is small. If I make something with any type of solids in it (e.g., cocoa powder, cinnamon, etc.) those particles tend to clump and burn on the tiny small square that is the heating element. I'd like to see a larger heating element in the next version.
- Blinking is confusing. The mug has one red light and blinks anywhere from 1 to 8 times to inform you of the status. I've never really understood the difference between one and two blinks - they both seem to indicate a "good" state. The FAQ states: "Flash twice: Your mug has seen your hot drink. Flash once: Your drink is hot enough to make the mug turn on at its optimum temperature." So... that's good either way? I wish they would add multiple lights of different colors to help understand what is going on.
- I don't love the honeycomb design. It's ok. More options would be great.

In summary, I've very happy with my purchase.

This is a quality mug. I bought Ember too. But Glowstone holds more liquid, it is lighter and holds my coffee hot longer. May be because they use real bone china. I frequently get compliments on its design. The handle design makes it so comfortable to hold. Glowstone must have put a lot of time thinking about designing it. You can put it in dishwasher too. I have had it for many months now. I like it so much that I am finally writing a review for it.

Mostly a novelty

I bought this off another website that had advertised it at a discount and thought it was a great idea, but wish I had taken the time to read about it before hand. I like to leisurely sip my drink and bought it because I was always tired of my last sips of tea being cold, and thought this would be a great way to keep my tea warm to the last drop. But this is a small cup and it automatically turns off after it thinks you've taken the last sip, which for my cup always seems to be when I still have a quarter of liquid at the bottom. And I'm guessing a trade off of the heating element is poor insulation to the cup, because when this cup stops heating the tea loses its temperature fast. The end result is that I'm drinking much smaller cups of tea than I used to, and my last sips still end up being just as cold as they were with my regular mug.
