Wish this were silicone and more expensive

I would have paid more money for the hard plastic trays to be silicone and reusable, or a silicone base that fits into a hard tray, and a hard top to make the "pips" on the second side.

I thought I did a good job, but my jello stuck both times and I only got one or two usable "bricks" each time, which was really disappointing. I did spray with coconut cooking spray.

I may try using this with chocolate or something that firms up more than jello, but the hardness of the trays makes it difficult to get the stuff out.

This is SUCH a great idea. I wish it has been executed more effectively.

Not enough jello for molds provided

The molds are great even if it didn't come with enough jello. The Jell-O on the other hand was not enough for the months that were provide. I still reuse the molds but I use the Jell-O natural gelatin packets and add extra plain gelatin powder to harden the jello a little bit. Also you can tell there's just way too much food dye in these Jell-O packets which is not healthy for you.

Don't be fooled the parents do all the work

I wouldn't reccomend other parents to buy this product . My son was mega excited for the arrival being that he loves legos . The molds break easy I would recommend a silicone one perhaps . The cooking spray did help although in terms of taking it out i pretty much had to use every trick in the book from using a toothpick to help guide me and a butter knife . It was a fun project putting it into the molds but taking it out my child was so disappointed . It's totally not like the advertisement

didn't work so well, the molds must be over filled to get the underside of the impression, and perfectly level in the fridge.

Be really careful with the molds as they break kinda easy. Also make sure to stack the molds on top of each other when you put the jello mix in them.

Molds worked like they were supposed to, difficult to remove if you dont use a cooking spray
