I wanted to love this, it really is a fantastic idea! This is NOT a paid review, I bought this at Walmart online. This thing is impossible to steer/maneuver. It pretty much just goes on it's own any direction with no real understanding how it decides that direction. I had to micromanage my son on it and unfortunely wore flip flops while doing so and the back "wheels" tore up my toes, shredded them actually. It's too fast to do indoors so we were in the street, paired with the fact that you can't control it as well as about half the time you can hear the wheels trying trying to move but they don't...I firmly believe they haven't worked out the kinks. It needs rounded edges under the feet, a sensor to detect when it's about to collide with something and a predicatable/functional steering mechanism. Getting it to "dance" took a while because it only does so if the bridle is in a specific position...Sad this didn't work out, we will be returning.

Got this horse for xmas and 2 days later the head turn feature wasn't working and you could hear the electric motor clicking. I was surprized the seller took it back free of charge. They get 5 stars for that good service.
Very prompt delivery.

Es original, es un robot está lleno de sensores.
Al tener movimientos bruscos, no estaría indicado para niños muy pequeños
It's worth it!

My daughter goes absolutely crazy for horses. So giving her Scout was exciting to say the least. She loves that she can pretend and feel like she has a pony at home. She enjoys feeding Scout in the morning, acting like she's out in a pasture for a ride and goes for walks around the driveway all while having these adorable conversations. Make sure you have room for Scout, it does require some space to move about. Such a great new toy and ride-on!!!!
New best friend

My son absolutely adores Scout. He loves how Scout has a mind of his own and makes so many sounds without always being prompted. Watching him feed and groom Scout is so cute. He was a little hesitant to ride, but once he got the hang of it, we can't get him off. Lately whenever we leaving the house, he wants to bring Scout along. I am thinking maybe Scout will have to come trick or treating with us this year. I would recommend Scout for children ages 4 to 7 years old. Oh and the assembly was a breeze! Overall, I'm very happy about my purchase.

Daughter loves horses and was sooo excited to have her own. You do need some space, but with the interaction that goes along with pretend play, it has been loads of fun for her ( a 5 year gurls's old dream come true)
Cute concept, but lots of cons.

We received Scout as a gift. While Scout is great concept, the design was poorly executed.
Scout is extremely difficult to operate. It only goes fast or faster. This is the same for the reverse function. Turning is also a chore. Because of its size, Scout makes very wide turns. This doesn't make Sout a great indoor toy no matter how large the space is.
Scout neighs and plays music. While very cute, he is also very loud. Unfortunately, we have not found a way to turn down the volume. It is eirher you have very loud sound or nothing at all.
Lastly, we rarely use Scout, but have found that his head has started to click when he is trying to turn it. Unfortunately, this was a Christmas gift so we are now no longer able to return the item.
Troubleshooting reason for not charging

We bought this item for our granddaughter and she actually loves it. We got it for a Christmas present last Christmas (8 months ago) and have had no problems with recharging until now. The instructions say nothing about battery replacement needs but i would like to know if this problem might be the problem.
