This thing is legit. Sound quality is amazing for a portable speaker. Balanced sound. Kind of bulky but loudness and clarity makes up for it. Visuals are a nice touch. Impressive piece of equipment.

The only thing I hate about it is now I gotta buy another one for two speaker stereo in the living room..... And two more for my bedroom...

Typical beautiful JBL sound. Smooth and clean and pleasing. Bass has to be heard to believe. JBL boom box times 10. You won't be sorry.

FedEx just delivered this. And fresh out of the box and listening I'm completely blown away.

If ultra portability isn't an issue, go with this over the boom box in a heartbeat. Not a big difference in price. It's still portable but at least 4 times heavier than boom box. I will use my BB for going places but I'm sure I'll want to show this speaker off to make em jealous. The lights are kinda cheesey but I'll just turn them off. Maybe a nice touch to a party.

Goes way louder than I can toletate without distortion, very very clean, so if you want loud to make your ears bleed, this is the one to get. At low volume is where I like it and even at very low volume the bass is so clean and deep and well defined, it's hard to think of wanting to listen to anything else. Classical, motown, Disco, EDM. Rock all sound beautiful with earth shaking bass.

This speaker is amazing. I somehow cannot find the way to really "feel" all that low frequency bass (50hz for example) like all of the YouTube videos out there, even with the Low Frequency Mode (Holding the bluetooth button and the minus volume button for around 10 seconds). However sound is incredibly crisp and loud. Not a single complaint, I absolutely love this.

You won't regret buying it.

Really muffled treble, bass pretty good! Not loud enough for size, unless u disable dsp mode, (not factory recommended) However the volume and power is almost doubled!!! And m sure is will shorten the battery life, but WOW !! Really loud then, but u can possibility blow the speakers in that mode.. still disappointed with lack of crisp treble...

Okay, first let me me say that I already have the JBL Xtreme so I am alittle bias on the JBL brand. That said, I wanted something with more power for a backyard BBQ. Decided against Boombox because for the $$ you might as well go bigger. Glad I did. The microphone feature was a plus and surprise surprise well used by party goers. Took away a star for lack of better instructions and also Bluetooth connection which may or may not be speaker related.

I've only had the party box for a week now and we use it just about every day. After the initial full charge, I've been running on battery only and it's holding up really well. While using it indoors, I usually turn the stobe and lighting effects off, but when we take it out by the pool, it really gets a workout. Sounds super great and we are loving it so far!

This speaker turned out better than I thought. The battery life obviously won't last all day if you're hitting it hard constantly but it is decent. Haven't tried to play it for 18 hrs but I'm not complaining about it. Bear in mind though that you will get the full wattage out of the speaker with it plugged in. The sound quality is also great as well as the bass. Personally I leave the bass boost option off to get the best mids and highs along with the lower end bass. The different light modes are also really cool, used it at some gatherings and everyone likes it.

It is by no means light but it's still portable.
Overall this speaker is what it says a "Party Box".

Great sound quality. Decent bass same for Battery life. Not loud enough, $450 should get you a speaker that blasts loud enough to break glass. I find myself constantly maximizing volume and thinking "well that's great but I wish it was louder." And I don't know if it's the car Jack that came with it or the port itself but something just broke off. (And I don't feel like dealing with customer support.)So I'm sitting in my car on lunch break writing to tell you all to avoid this product. It's a good speaker but I expect great when buying a top dollar sound system. Also won't bluetooth to my ps4 and that's a problem. And also one more thing... it gets scrapped up easily.
