Great Gift for any Hip Hop Head

Been a Hip Hop head since the soundtrack to Beat Street dropped. I got this book as a gift for my older Brother, who absolutely loves it. Of course I had a chance to check it out first. Ridiculously funny, and I love the choices that they made for the lyrics they translated. Awesome book, makes a terrific gift, I recommend it.

Great gift for friends that are way cooler than you... or their moms

Gave this to a music producer/DJ friend for her birthday. She is beyond cool and loved it. I know nothing about music and had fun sounding like a fool while I read the lyrics and interpretations aloud. My friend will use this to educate her conservative Texan mother on the rap lyrics she always asks about.

We actually used this as a birthday card, and circled, highlighted and drew pictures on the pages that reminded us of our friend. "I love you like a fat kid loves cake," I believe, was the big hit.

My college swim coach used to read us a couple of excerpts from the book while we were treading water. It was a great way to keep our minds off the fact that we had to tread water for about 10-15 min. It is really funny and I definitely recommend it if you need something that will get a good laugh out of people.

since I only had 5$ of amazon bucks, I got this, used. It probably wasn't the best idea but the book is in pretty damn good condition. Also, it's hilarious! Making fun of rappers that use autotune and other slang, and then dissecting it is funny af.
