Cool book, but someone scratched already!

Just received my package and looked through it before wrapping it up and putting it under the tree. On all the good scratch and sniffs (the marijuana ones) They have been scratched already!! You can clearly see the scratches! So disappointed as this is suppose to be a "new" book! So who the hell sniffed my book. Needless to say I am a little upset and hope that the gift received doesn't notice as well.

Scratch and Gag - Nope on Dope!

With a title and cover like The Scratch & Sniff Book of Weed, you'd think the "scratch & sniff" parts would at the very least be of actual weed strains - NOPE! The preview page of "Garden of Weed-en" shown on the Amazon page is also very misleading. There are even comments next to some scents trying to justify why there even placed in here - like tea, maple syrup, cotton candy, roses, musk, meat, pizza (see what I mean about misleading?)... I'd include photos but there is a disclaimer on the back cover against any means of reproduction, transmission, photocopying, etc. without written permission from the publisher... @__@ Like any scratch & sniff anything, the majority of scents leave you gagging - beware, your fingernail will be stained with an odor cocktail. This book would be more Dope! if the scents were of actual Dope! And because of that, I completely disagree with the statement that "This book may just be the greatest-ever gift for anyone from the cannabis connoisseur to the cannabis curious" - it is too whack to gift to any of my cannabis connoisseur friends which I was initially planning to do.

Returned all copies immediately for refund.

This is soooo good. I bought it because just the idea of it made me laugh. Then, when I got it and started reading, I was surprised by how smart and funny it is too, and the illustrations are to die for. Who knew a bag of weed was the first thing sold on the internet?! A great book and an even better gift.

Got this for my boyfriend who works in the med/rec industry in WA, and he works for a company that is very science-focused. He's a huge fan of this book. We thought he knew all there was to know, but he's learned several new things and says the layout of the book is perfect for stoners, especially those who have a good basic knowledge about the devil's lettuce already (it's not too dense or academic, and the illustrations and scratch-and-sniffs keep the eye moving across the page). We found that some of the scratch and sniff spots work better than others (in terms of smell-ability, and accuracy of the strain smells that the book presents) but it's definitely a fun book for users and non-users alike, and it adds a pop of nice color to the bookshelf.

I took this to a girls weekend and we died laughing. This is so funny, the scratch and sniffs are really done well and I even learned a thing or two. Recommend for any girls night out. It's a hoot!

Funny, entertaining, and a feast for the senses! The colorful illustrations are so beautiful and quirky, and the scratch & sniffs are a great addition. It's obvious the authors are very knowledgable and passionate about the subject and have really done their homework. The book is full of fun facts and hilarious tidbits as well as historical information and even some science-y stuff. Would make a great gift.

It's a nice book, although I was expecting the smell of marijuana, not beer, steak, or cotton candy. I get it, the smells are the terpenes, I just wish I would've known before purchasing.

I bought this as a Christmas gift expecting pages filled with different weed strains that the reader could scratch and sniff. Instead you get 3 types of marijuana to smell plus one ambiguous "weed" scratcher and then things like "musk" and "French fries" and "nilla wafers". Yes, I understand the blurb at the top says it's "a physiological, sexual, historical, botanical and cultural trip through the world of cannabis" but come on only THREE actual weed sents? REALLY? I was hoping this thing was full of so much stank that the drug dogs at the shipping place would hit on it. From an informational stand point it's a good book filled with fun factoids and quirky art and it's a good book for someone who knows NOTHING about marijuana. I feel like most of the knowledge is pretty mainstream otherwise. I guess I was just expecting more from the title? I ended up not giving it to my friend, as we live in California and she already knows most of what was written in here. 2 stars for nice art and a well put together book.

Does not smell like weed

Does not smell like weed. I guess I should've read the description better but there aren't any real smells of weed at all. I was hoping to be able to smell the different types of strains and such. This was a joke gift for a friend but not what I expected
