Love the illustrations and straight forward instructions. In the back of the book there are also piping directions on how to get the different designs in the cakes which is awesome ...No Regerts lol

I pre-ordered this book when it was first announced so I was definitely looking forward to it. The book arrived in great condition and I read it from cover to cover as soon as I received it. This is the perfect little book for those who love Hello Kitty and baking!!! There are about 20 recipes (more if you count the "More to Try" variations), ranging from what's on the cover (cupcakes, cookies, cake pops and macarons) to different things like an ombre Hello Kitty cake, an ice cream cake and even strawberry-rhubarb tartlets. The instructions are kept simple and concise, with just the right amount of detail so that it's not overwhelming. The pictures are beautiful and give you an idea as to what the end products should look like. I really like that there's a "Getting Started" section, which covers helpful tips on key ingredients, baking equipment and decorating equipment, as well as some "Extras", which covers basic piping techniques and other little tidbits. I also like that they included the key character templates in the book so they're all in one place (namely, the book!) when I need them in the future. The quality of the book itself is terrific as well (nice hard cover and thick pages), especially for the price point! All in all, a very nicely done and super cute book - I couldn't be more pleased!! I can't wait to give these out as Christmas gifts this year!

Cute Little Baking Book

Bought this as a birthday gift for my mom. She loved it! The only downside is that several of the recipes require special molds. (Such as a Hello Kitty cake pan.) I'll just get her one of those for Christmas, but it would have been nice to have known ahead of time to add it to her birthday order when I was making it. Other than that, this is a cute book of fairly basic recipes for cupcakes, cake pops and cakes.

My husband bought me this wonderful little book. It's a great guide for any Hello Kitty fan to make a plethora of desserts. I don't know what people are saying about how it doesn't teach you anything. It's a excellent guide and even has stencils to put Sanrio characters faces on your desserts. I highly recommend it!

My daughter really likes this book. She is a die hard Hello Kitty fan, and loves looking at the pictures. The photos are really nice, and there are plenty of recipes. My only complaint is that so many of the items will require finding and purchasing HK shaped cutters, otherwise the idea will be lost. I'm not sure I would buy it again, just from a practical perspective.

Cute little book! Was shock to see other Sanrio characters in there like Badtz Maru & Kerroppi.

I actually bought the book to look at cute images, but recipes are a plus. :)

I have only tried the classic vanilla cake/cupcake with the swiss meringue buttercream. Both are delicious together. Will continue to update rating as I go through the book.

We got this for our seven year old granddaughter who was really "into" Hello Kitty at the time. Hello Kitty has fans of all ages I realize, but was disappointed that the cookbook is not oriented to children at all. Mom, dad, grandparent, or someone over 15 years old has to be in charge of the baking. Kids of all ages will love the results.

This is the 2nd book I purchased because my first one was "borrowed" by my sister. The chocolate cake recipe is my absolute favorite and always turns out great!. I originally purchased it so I could make my hello kitty obsessed daughter some treats but soon found that the recipes are really great! I always reach for this book when I'm in the mood to bake!
