These are great little keyboards....if you don't care about pitch. I sing with an a cappella group, and we like to have keyboards in front of us to check notes as we practice around a table, so I bought 2 of them. These arrived very quickly, and have a great clear sound, but they are flat. (We checked with a tuner.) They aren't even tuned to each other. If it's a gift for a little kid or someone with a tin ear, I recommend it. If it's for anyone who wants to be in tune, don't do it.
NO AC ADAPTER. JUST THE 'JACK'.

(update) CAREFUL IF ORDERING--- I THINK AMAZON SENT WRONG PRODUCT, WHICH SEEMS TO BE Portable 37 Keys Roll Up Piano Keyboard. AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE MADE GOOD ON MISTAKE. Reveiew of that item also indicte the problem of the adapter. SO IF YOU GET THE CORRECT PRODUCT SHOWN, MAYBE IT WILL HAVE IT.
--- Haven't tried it yet, but no AC ADAPTER is included. Just the 'JACK' which indicates "DC6V". AC adapter needs to be purchased separately and adds to overall cost. Instructions state 4-AA batteries are reqd. Listed features on outside of box state 3-AAA are reqd. The winner? Curtain#1, which is 4-AA batteries. I honestly don't imagine this is a `mobile' item for us, (wouldn't want to show up the pianist at our favorite restaurant), so a power cord for home use might serve best.
--- The packaging image of the "roll-a- piano" is not at all what was received, although actual item is indeed rubber and certainly rolls up to dimensions of approx 5"x5"x2". (An idea for an ideal product would be keys that light up for teaching, along with simple lesson electronics)
--- Instruction booklet need major overhaul and is not written in well English very good. It also says the battery compartment has a screw, but it does not. So if you're worried about small children, know that the compartment does NOT have hardware. (funny how it warns not to use sharp objects on the keys as it could cause `..fatal..' damage, but I'm quite sure it means permanent product failure and not risk to human life.)
--- Does using something with only 37 keys, ruin someone from ultimately learning properly on a standard piano, or is it a good start ?.?.

I LOVE MY Portable Roll Up Piano Keyboard - JB4509JB4509
! I first saw this at a musical rehearsal. One of the leads would get on stage, do her lines / songs, and return to her seat to continue her studies in between her cues. She pulled a small box out of her backpack and withdrew something rolled up. She gently unrolled it, plugged in her headphones, and turned it on. She started playing her music to help her solidify her cues. I WAS ASTOUNDED! I had never seen one before, and I knew that I needed one. I easily found on on Amazon and literally squealed when it finally arrived. I unrolled it, plugged in my headphones, and turned it on. I do not need a stand. It is much easier to carry along to my rehearsals. And it fits perfectly in whatever handbag I am carrying. I don't need to dedicate a wall in my apartment for a clunky keyboard on a stand. I have used my keyboard in rehearsals, at church, in the car repair shop, on a charter bus, etc. The options are limitless. My only complaint is that I did not find out about this much sooner.
Very Poor Quality

This portable roll up piano is basically worthless. There is no way to unroll the piano to make every key works. No matter what, at least one key (usually about half of them) is not functional at any time. If the keyboard is not on a perfectly clean, perfectly flat surface, it will not work at all. Only buy this if you like the novelty of it, this roll up piano is just for show.
Also, the product manual that it came with was written in English by someone who does not have any grasp on the English language. The majority of the manual has basic grammar errors, but there are many places which just do not make any sense whatsoever.

I really like it

I really like it. Never thought it would work so well. I bought it to practise my choir singing score. I can just about read music and play the score notes on a piano keyboard. I got a foldable one to pracise while travelling, this one has a headphone socket so you don't disturb your fellow travellers. It has not failed so far, I don't use it much now I admit. the "adult" key size is very nice, your fingers are at ease. You can really take it anywhere too. It's a pity that there is not a teaching mode for the pre-recorded songs, that would have made it perfect.
Not bad for the price, but don't expect a "real" musical instrument.

This item was what I expected after reading the reviews on it and similar products. If you are looking for a "real" musical instrument, this probably isn't your item. However, my reason for buying it was to have a keyboard with a headphone jack that was easily carried around. I already have a keyboard at home, but it is rather big and kind of heavy for toting about. I generally play with only one hand, picking out the melody lines of various songs I can sing. I find doing this relaxing and it helps with stress management. The thing DOES play on key (the most important item for me), but the volume control seems iffy at best, so I generally just put something over the speaker to muffle it or put in the headphones but keep the earpieces near, but not in, my ears. The demo has a charming set of melodies that supposedly one could play on this keyboard, but I doubt that I could do that even if I had the skills needed. In short, not bad for the price (about $30 US).
Great for a toy piano keyboard

Due to my limited funds, I got a 37 key Rollup Piano. That was a mistake. I didn't have enough keys to play one of my favorite songs. I should have waited until I could afford one with more keys. I couldn't straighten the keyboard out to where it would lie flat due to the way it was folded in the original box. I would suggest the manufacturers store it in a drum-shaped box to keep from having it permanently folded and unable to lie flat. The sound was good, although some keys required a heavier touch to play them. It's a good keyboard to learn on and a good substitute for a piano in Sunday School. I listened to the various accompaniment rythms, and they would be good for secular songs, but most of them are not so great for Sunday School.
It was a total disappointment, because you couldn't play a single tune on ...

Five keys did not work. I called Amazon and they sent me the label to return it to THEM. It was a total disappointment, because you couldn't play a single tune on it, not with five missing notes. Also, the box looked ad thought it had been opened, sent back, and re-packed for me. It didn't look new at all. Terribly disappointing. J. Goldstein.
Didn't work--Not worth price/effort

It arrived and would light up, but wouldn't play music. We tried multiple batteries--the item is defective. I would not buy this product again--I'm going to research and see if I can find something better. It wasn't worth the effort for the price to then receive something cheap and defective.
GREAT portable piano/learning tool

For $25 this is AWESOME. Its all about expectations, if you are a serious keyboard player - its NOT for you. The keyboard has a nice tactile feel with slightly raised black keys. I travel with this to help me work on my music training (I'm a sax/flute player). Some notes are out of pitch and it flakes out some times - but still a GREAT portable piano/learning tool. It has a DC power supply connection but does NOT come with a power supply - you have to get this yourself. Keep on jammin' !!
