Quality product, good wrapping and deliveryby Lia (from Montreal, Canada) (5 out of 5 stars)

I received them one week later. I ordered two "new" product. They arrived in a solid box filled with brown paper, individually wrapped in their own original box (logo etc.) in a little bubble paper bag with a cute tag of the product (ready for gift giving). It is a door-stopper, colorful and cute, good quality, heavy for its size so it sits very well by the door. I had purchased one (for myself) in a store when visiting Salem, MA (USA) around Halloween time about 5 years ago. I use it for my door in my guest bedroom. It is adorable if one likes those things. On our last trip to Boston and Salem, the store told us they no longer carry them as I wanted to purchase some as gifts. I decided to check it out on Amazon, took a chance in ordering and am very happy I did. It is the identical product I had, exactly what I wanted.
A Conversation Piece that Truly Useful!

This was a Christmas gift for my husband who was using a shoe for a doorstop! I kept threatening to buy a doorstop every time we were in a store, but he kept telling me we didn't need one. And then I saw the Ruby Slippers Doorstop and knew it was "meant to be"! I just loved the smile on his face when he opened the present on Christmas morning. It is really adorable and looks so much nicer than one of my shoes! The detail is wonderful and we can just imagine the scene where Dorothy's house lands on the Wicked Witch and those legs and feet protrude from the house! It is definitely a conversation piece, as well as being useful!
Too Small and doesn't fit under door well at all

The item is very cute and seems like a good concept. The problem is with the execution. The photo showing the angled feet under the door is very misleading. I tried the doorstop on several of my doors (wood floors, tile floor in bathroom, and kitchen floor) and the door stop only went one-inch at best under the door thus sticking out way too much making it more of a hinderance than a help. Also, as many have commented, this is very small. Too small. This, for me, is a total bust and I am returning it.
Great attention-grabbing door stop!

Yep, it's small, but it's a doorstop and sized accordingly. Do not pay attention to the negative comments about the size (or the man behind the curtain) as the size is clearly shown in the product description.
We get great comments from friends and family who see it! Love this doorstop for that reason alone ...
Only negative is that the factory applied rubber feet don't adhere for very long. We simply replaced them with small rubber pads from the hardware store ... but had to apply them with a glue gun for them to adhere permanently. Issues with the pads kept this from being a five-star rating.
We recommend this door stop.
Produces Lots of Smiles

This doorstop is cast iron so it has good weight for its size. I was expecting it to be bigger but the size makes sense for what it is. It is 100% functional which is important and it creates lots of smiles. When not using it as a doorstop we keep the shoes sticking out from beneath the TV stand so it still gets the same effect. This would also make a nice fish tank decoration if you're really into the wizard of oz.
and people think it's adorable when they use it

Cute and novel. The hinges on my bathroom doors are either old or faulty and they tend to swing halfway shut in the night, which then causes me to run into them. I bought this to prevent that and it does the job, and people think it's adorable when they use it. It's very heavy and well made, and of course, the shoes sparkle.
Funny and functional

I love this doorstop because it is funny, I like it because is durable and functional. I have a door that always wants to close, I guess it wasn't properly installed, a doorstop is a must, this works well and looks good doing it. I am often too lazy to remove the doorstop by bending over so I remove it with my foot and invariably it falls over onto hard granite tile, over the last year of using this and having this happen nearly every day the finish has held up, the cast iron hasn't chipped or cracked, and the grippy rubber pads have remained firmly stuck to the bottom of it. I am impressed that a novelty item can be so functional.
Worthless, except as a paper weight or decoration.

This doorstop is worthless. It wouldn't hold my door open either on the hardwood floor or on top of a cloth welcome mat. The door just pushes the doorstop aside as it slides shut. When I play with it about four or five times, I can sometimes, *sometimes* get it wedged against the door and mat, but it takes a lot of trying. Don't waste your money or time with this unless you want it as a decoration or paper weight.
Quite cute but it tends to fall over...

Before ordering this cute doorstop I was worried that it might be too big (and thus a tripping hazard) but I read the dimensions and realized it is quite small and unobtrusive (about 4" with part of that under the door). But it is heavy enough to keep a door open.
Unfortunately it has a tendency to fall onto one side if used in a door which is frequently opened and partially closed so I would recommend it for any door that needs to stay open (or closed) and stationary for long periods of time so you aren't always dealing with this issue.
At first we had ours tucked under the bedroom door but that one is opened and partially shut too often so I moved it to the bathroom to act like a typical doorstop preventing the back of the door from hitting the wall behind it; it works great there.
In addition, it arrived quickly and was packaged well for travel through the mail.
Fun for the film fan

I bought this as a gift for my teenage daughter. She opened it and I said, "Do you know what it is?" and she said "No". "It's a doorstop. Here, put it under your door." She did so and it holds it open very well (especially for when her boyfriend visits, haha). Yes, it is small but it does the job. The only issue I had with it is that the red of the slippers is very, very dark red, like a burgandy red. If you remember from the film the slippers were a bright red. Dorothy taps them several times in the film. So if the makers saw the film they should have known this and used a brighter red color. But my daughter was pleased with the gift.
