Poor Build Qualityby Daniel (1 out of 5 stars)

Pros: Its a watch that keeps time
Cons:
Compass points in random directions.
Knife and Scissors are dull and would not keep an edge with minimal use.
Clasp came apart, causing the watch to drop and sustain cosmetic damage, clasp and spring ejected and could not be found.
LED is not very bright, generic Red color.
No illumination on the watchface, not even light absorbing paint.
I would not recommend this watch at all. I would expect a clip watch to stay clipped so I do not lose it when I need it.
Very good watch

I am a scoutmaster and I have been very hard on this watch. I wear it on a belt loop on all the campouts I attend. I even hung it there the whole weekend we were outside in sub-zero temperatures (reached temperatures of -10F). We even slept outdoors...
Pros:
The watch is durable and has held up to all my abuse.
The utility knife and scissors are handy.
I like having the watch visible without having to dig through layers to get at it.
The clip is very durable.
Cons:
The clip sticks a bit.
I lost one of the screws and had to get a new screw shipped to me. It came quickly but did not match the other screws. It did not matter to me so much because the watch is more functional than fashion for me.
The compass is useless. I did not buy it for the compass but it would be nice if it gave a general idea in a pinch. It is not even close. They should either redesign it or remove it.
Overall I have been very happy with this watch.

This watch was a birthday gift for my husband and he absolutely loves it!! The watch has a belt clip, an infrared light (the description says it is a LED light), a side compass, a secure belt clip, a fold out knife and scissors and a key ring.

I wanted this clippy multi-tool to be perfect, but like all multi-tools, there are compromises that irk. Sturdy metal construction with a plastic clip part that does not inspire confidence. A compass that is just plain hard to find, let alone use. I actually gave it to a few people to see how long it took them to find the teeeeeny compass. Some never did. Not to worry, it fell out of the housing after a week at camp. The little red LED light is better than I thought. It's best used for shining in your eye and pretending it's a laser (it's not!). It's a little heavy to hang on the front of scout shorts like I did for a week, but I liked showing it off, being a multi-tool freak. Nice watch.

It seemed nice at first but the back was less than fully secure. I contacted customer service and was told 'we think you need to remove the white foam material' so I did. This made no difference. I returned it.
Cheaply made

Well wad I nice watch but it fell apart on me the first week. Screws holding the carabiner together fell out and came apart. Not to metion the black finish started flaking off as well. You think for almost $50 it would last longer than a week. The knife and sissors were a joke as well, knife as dull as butter knife and sissors won't even cut a pice of paper just slides between blades. Very unsatisfied with this watch.

I bought this as a gift for my son who cannot wear a wrist watch at work. It was just what he wanted and is well made except for the sissors which the spring broke immediatlly. He liked it so much he did not want to return it or exchange it. Good product.

This clip watch is junk. When I first got it the light didn't work. Had it clipped to my backpack. Backpack fell of 2 foot table , clip broke , ended up in trash. 40+ bucks lost to another amazon consumer scam.
Great watch with a few draw backs

I do not like wearing wrist watches so I have been attracted to the Dakota belt loop watches. I have one of the earlier models which is smaller than the Dakota Unisex 8761-2. The picture of the watch on line is deceiving. The watch looks smaller than it is in reality. I did not notice that it had a knife and scissors too. That precludes carrying it on an airplane which is why I wanted it initially. Now that I have it I have been using it and really do like it for what it offers, knife included. I will have to carry my old warn Dakota on the plane.

This is a great watch for those who do not like to wear one on their wrist. The compass, light, and tools are great extras and handy for outdoor use. The plastic clip may wear out over time...we'll see. I am glad I purchased this watch.
