This being a 3x3 rubik puzzle it is the same in essence as the original. The main difference is learning the orientation of size of piece instead of color so very nice for a change. The best part overall though has to be the look. It is amazing. I have 5 different variations of rubiks and this one ties with the 7x7 for popularity among co-workers. If you like rubiks, you should diffintely get this one. The turning on this one I should mention looks like it would be hard but the turns are pretty much self aligning and very smooth, there are no drawbacks to this puzzle at all.

I got bored of playing around with my standard Rubik's cube, so I bought this. It's very fun to solve the puzzle spatially, opposed to the traditional color cube.

Great for someone who likes solving Rubik's cubes. Provides a challenge, but one that's doable!

Unlike a normal rubix cube that focuses on matching colors to specific sides this is all about the shapes. Now i can get one side on a rubix cube (i'm no master I get these for my brother) but i couldn't do this if you paid me. Very challenging unless it's your thing, like my brother. He has a great time with it though, so far no stickers have fallen either and he's had it couple months.

at first i thought it was going to be hard, but it solves just like a regular one. instead of colors just focus on the shapes.

This was a lot of fun! For the first 10 minutes i owed it.... It was very stiff and hard to turn at first, but then it became very loose and easy to turn. Its an okay cube.

Bought this for my 14yr old son for xmas; he absolutely loves this toy. He's obcessed with any and all rubix cube, I had people scouring 3 states looking for this item, no luck Thank Goodness you had it on here. Shipping was very prompt. Will definately use this seller again.

Fast shipping, smooth cube

I love this cube!!! The shipping was great, in fact it came three days early!!! The cube is very smooth and makes really cool shapes. The only problem is that it is hard to take apart, but that's only if you want to lubricate it even more. Overall a great toy and awesome present for a son or daughter.

I've been able to solve the original 3x3x3 cube for a while, and the bigger ones were getting a little tedious, so this was the perfect compromise. It solves just like the original, but it's pretty tricky at first. Since all the sides have exactly the same color, you have to go by the shapes and sizes of the cubies. Right after I got it, it took me about an hour to get it right (and looking back on it, I was tired, so that was probably longer than really necessary). Now I can get it done in about 3 minutes, compared to the 2 minutes it takes me with the original (and the 30 minutes it still takes me to get the 5x5x5).

As far as the construction goes, the stickers are perfect from what I can tell. It is a very sleek silver that justly gives it the "mirror" title. All my other cubes seem to inevitably have some problems with stickers so matter how well they were put on to begin with, but this one seems especially well put-together. It turns great. There's absolutely no need for any lubrication. Sometimes I've found that it almost turns TOO easily, but it's really not a problem.

Overall a great toy. It forces you to think just a little more than you were with the original 3x3x3. I'm very happy with it.

I've had this Rubik's cube for a over a year now. My brother bought it for me when it was still only available in Japan (so the box is really cool with Japanese on it). It solves like a regular Rubik's cube, so if you know the algorithms and have good spacial skills it shouldn't be too big a challenge. When people are in my room looking at my many Rubik's cubes, in all different sizes I'll start fiddling with the Rubik's mirror and it amazes them. The amount of "wow"s I've gotten over this Rubik's cube is ridiculous, especially when it's solved the same way.

I would recommend this to anyone who can solve a Rubik's cube or would like to learn.

The only con is that you need to be extra careful lining up the different axises so that it turns correctly.

A new dimension to the classic

Having learned the algorithms, I always like finding a new spin on the classic Rubik's Cube. This cube solves exactly the same way, but the extra challenge comes in having to match up the pieces by shape rather than color. It doesn't take long to get used to, but it's still quite fun, and looks awesome when scrambled (and seems to impress even more when solved). Definitely recommended for the Rubik's enthusiast.
