I have been very pleased with this keyboard
by Tyler (4 out of 5 stars)
May 12, 2016

I have been very pleased with this keyboard. Not only is the keyboard washable, but the keyboard tends to stay clean on its own. Unlike most keyboards, where things can easily fall between the keys and get stuck inside of the keyboard, these keys are wide at the top, covering a narrow base and preventing junk from getting inside the keyboard. This means that not only is the keyboard washable, but because of a high-quality design you won't have to do that much washing.

I like that the keyboard is low-profile, it's easy to slide under things and doesn't take up much space.

Overall the performance of the keyboard is about what you would expect. It has fairly good typing quality, but if you're like me and like tactile feedback for your typing, you're going to think that the keyboard is a bit mushy. The lightness of the keyboard also means that it might have a tendency to shift underneath your fingers if you're a strong typer like me.

Solution for eating lunch at the computer
by BobG (5 out of 5 stars)
June 15, 2018

OK true confession: I often - even usually! - eat lunch at my desk while working.

So I had this awesome wireless, lighted keyboard (also Logitech) but it kept getting groaty because of crumbs etc. which were nearly impossible to clean off of it. After a year or so it was so gross I threw it away and ordered a new one. I promptly spilled soup on the new keyboard! I cleaned it up well enough and it still works, but I realized that (a) I'm not going to stop eating at my desk and (b) even if I'm careful, spills happen.

This keyboard is the solution! OK It's not wireless but it was easy enough to connect a wire, and I no longer wonder if my neighbor's kid can hack my password when I type it. It's not lighted but the white keys show up pretty well, even at night with only the computer screen lighting the room. The upside is I can keep it clean! It comes with a little brush which can actually get under the keys to remove crumbs. If it's more than crumbs, I just unplug it, bring it in the kitchen, and wash it off. I'm back at work in minutes, and it's always clean and sanitary. Bravo Logitech!

New One not as good as Old One?
by Groanan (3 out of 5 stars)
March 26, 2019

I have bought this keyboard perhaps four times, it was really is nice to type on and the ability to wipe it down and not worry about it is amazing.

I most recently repurchased it in March 2019, the box was for Chinese audiences (written in Chinese) but the keys were still the right keyset. The lettering was slightly lighter in color, it stood slightly higher than my old one with the flaps up (maybe I wore mine down), and the keys felt just not as good to type on, a little sticky.

All the details were otherwise identical to my past K310s, but the serial number did not register on Logitech's site while my earlier version still does, so I cannot tell if I just have a made-for-China version that is not in the system and slightly inferior, or if since this keyboard has been off the market for over a year or so if only counterfeits remain.

Awesome washable keyboard you can still read after heavy use
by libertygirl (5 out of 5 stars)

Logitech Washable Keyboard K310 is a great keyboard especially if you have a history of creating keyboards with no markings on them. I bought this keyboard in Aug 2014 for 2 reasons, #1-I eat at my desk and regular keyboards are gross even with canned air it was hard to get all the crumbs out so I wanted to be able to take it to the sink and clean it up. Plus it's nice to clean it up during cold/flu season to keep germs off my keyboard. It's great and cleans up nicely and the little brush included is nice in between washing to clear debris. #2-I wear the letters, numbers off my keyboards, which is not that big of a deal since I don't look at my hands and use home keys with the exception of the top row numbers and F keys hard for my hands to reach that far but I do wear out the 10 key as well - visitors using my keyboard go nuts if they don't know the keys so I was looking for something that didn't wear off. Honestly the standard dell keyboard that our IT gave me was down to just showing Q, A and Z after 10 months the 10 key faired a little better you can still read 7,8,9. After almost 2 years of use every key is still visible and it works like a charm. Plus its fun to see my co-workers face when I'm washing my keyboard off in the sink. I'm not sure at the current price point listed I would have purchased but I'm very frugal. I paid half the current price guess it was good timing. I decided to right this review now since my co-worker was asking me about it and it reminded me how great it's been.

Probably weirdest reason ever....
by Terry J. Keaton (5 out of 5 stars)
January 29, 2014

Yep, weirdest, wanna bet? Got this keyboard because our Quaker Parrot, Mongo, was taking the keys out of the regular one. Impossible to keep him from stealing the keys, a couple were stripped so they didn't even click in anymore. Looked for a "bird-proof" keyboard to no avail. Remember being impressed a few years ago by the rubber-like roll up keyboards and started looking. The rubber ones would probably work the best, but the reviews weren't very inspiring. Hard to press, repeats, etc. Not great for playing games. This one can be put under running water (couldn't even imagine) without damage. Keys are not coming out. Ok, if I let Mongo have his way with the keyboard I am positive he could find a way. At least break them if nothing else. But, he doesn't have quite that opportunity. The keys feel about the same as a regular keyboard. There are some keys that are absent (or placed differently), but nothing that I can't get used to. So, if you have a medium sized bird that likes to steal keyboard keys and fly away with them, making you chase him while he laughs hysterically (ok, I'm presuming), consider this keyboard. Working great, except for the finger malfunctions (can I blame that on a new keyboard? Sure, why not.) get this one.

UPDATE (3/22/14): Ok, Mongo succeeded in pulling off the key with a squiggly line on it (used for Spanish over vowels/under the Esc key). I stuck it back on, but he kept pulling it. Then, lo and behold, I got a great fix for it. Superglue. Yep, superglue. Turns out the keys have a thin piece of plastic underneath that fit into a slot inside the keyboard. A drop of glue on the 'dimples' on the side of the key, snap into the slot, and we have a very perturbed Quaker Parrot. Not to mention a fully functional, intact keyboard. Oh, and seed shells come right out, even when they are stuck under the key itself. Just tilt and tap. So very happy with this keyboard.

Maybe a bit pricey, but well worth it.

These are a bit expensive, but worth it. I love mine, and bought this one as a gift. Some don't like the chiclet square keys, but I find the resistance perfect, and got used to the feel/spacing very quickly. It is dead flat, there is no ergonomic design to these whatsoever, but if that is not an issue for you, go for it. The design allows you to just pick it up on end and tap and junk/dust out from under the keys. You can even run it under the faucet if you spill on it. This has only happened once (wasn't me!) and it was so cool to just unplug it and wash it off. I may buy another as a back up just in case they ever stop making them. I can think of no better keyboard for a POP station, or customer service desk.

Very high keys, but a good keyboard
by Amazon Customer (4 out of 5 stars)
November 3, 2016

Is a very good concept for those of us who frequently eat at our desks and (ahem) need to clean a crumb-covered keyboard from time to time. With that said, the keys are very, very high, which - for me at least -- is a deal-breaker. I just find I constantly miss-hit keys, and the deep traverl (which granted, doesn't take a lot of pressure) gets tiring after a while. This is a shame, but the keys have exactly the kind of "hollow" feel my carpal tunnel hands need. Probably because of all the plastic, it also looks and feels inexpensive. It's almost a great keyboard-- just not quite there.

The Keyboard That Can Save Employees In Corporate America
by Red Panda (5 out of 5 stars)
November 27, 2013

This type of keyboard is what should be adopted across corporate America! I was able to get one while they were priced at $14.99. This is a great deal. How many of us work in corporate offices or centers were we are handed down old keyboards, or we have to share equipment with others?

We get to our "new" desk and the first thing we see is how gross the keyboard is!!! There is something growing on the S key and you are not too sure what it could be! Will you get pregnant if you touch it???

Some of us opt to spray Lysol over the perpetrator. Some of us grab a Clorox wipe and frenetically rub the keys, the edges, DIE BACTERIA. DIE. A minority of us.... go to greater lengths... some of us... put the keyboard apart, pulling out every key to give each one an individualized deep cleaning. But this approach has a counter effect in our soul, we get to see what has been sleeping under those keys for who knows how long! We see: dried skin, hairs (straight and kinky ones), unidentified mucous, crumbles, dried good small pieces, IS THAT BLOOD??, dandruff, an earring, and many other yucky wonders.

We sure need to be exposed to the wild to develop a strong immune system, however, there is a psychological positive effect that good hygiene and cleanliness brings to the employee: sense of relief, comfort, satisfaction and efficiency. Would you rather stay at a dirty hotel room for 1 week with a smelly mattress or spend 3 months in a pristine room that seems to have been cleaned by a surgical team?? Most will opt for the last option.

Here enters the Logitech Washable Keyboard K310 for Windows PCs. It is a dirty hotel room that you can actually wash and thoroughly clean - transforming it into that pristine utopia of good smells and clean.

I want every employer in America that hands those equipment to employees to consider investing on something like this. For the People. For the The Children.

I own two of these but the newest one doesn't feel quite right

Update 4/18/19

I wanted to update this review after using this keyboard for a while. In my original review I mentioned that the keys felt really sticky and hard to press. I would say after a week or so after using this keyboard the keys started to feel normal again. I still use this at work every day and I don't notice the sticky key feeling anymore. It feels like my original one. Gave it an extra star because I absolutely love this keyboard for some reason.
---------------------

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

I got this keyboard years ago. Its been my main keyboard at home and decided to get one for my work desk.

Sadly, this version feels off. The keys seem to get stuck pretty easily. I keep missing certain keystrokes because the keys feel hard to press down. Maybe I just need to break them in after prolonged use, but I don't remember my other one ever feeling like this. The space bar is the main culprit. It almost feels like I am pressing it at an angle which is preventing it from going down all the way and registering.

I still like the look and feel of the actual device. The ability to blow out junk out or wash under the keys is its main selling point. I wish Logitech had continued evolving this series of keyboards but sadly it looks like they have moved on from it.

No more nastiness!
by Ms. Bea Haven (5 out of 5 stars)
June 7, 2014

I bought this to use on the computer my husband and son share. Between their general net surfing and marathon Skyrim sessions, both accompanied by seemingly endless streams of soda and snacks, their keyboard was absolutely disgusting! I'd go in there to vacuum the thing and wipe it down with cotton balls lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol, but some of the crud was so seriously lodged in there it would've taken a sandblaster to get it out.

Fast forward a few years (and countless lethal germs) and my husband started on chemotherapy for brain cancer. At that point, using a filth-riddled keyboard was no longer an option. Chemo compromises the immune system so greatly we just couldn't take the chance, so I told him we needed to replace his keyboard.

A little searching on Amazon and I discovered this washable keyboard and instantly bought it. We love this thing! They still spill stuff on it (though we no longer drink soda) but now the crumbs wipe right off. We keep a canister of hand wipes next to the keyboard so both of them wipe it down prior to use. It's held up quite nicely, with no lag and no problems.

I heartily recommend this!
