Fit my laptop with perfection. Sometimes i just stare at it because of how cool it looks.

Installing the pieces were very easy. All you need to do is get a reference point and stick that end, then you just gradually move you hands along the piece in one direction.

The installation is super easy. I did not use any heat source at all. The texture and looking of the skin is amazingly awesome. Every macbook air is almost exactly the same. If you want something special, this is definitely the product for you. You wont regret it even it is 50 bucks.

This is a great quality skin. It fit my 13" macbook air perfectly. It doesn't go all the way to the edges but it looks and feels great. Alignment was pretty easy for the most part. The bottom piece was the most difficult. It took about 20-30 minutes to install with no tools or heat source required.

Cut Not Precise on 2015 Macbook Air 13

I purchased my skin (Combo) for the 2015 Macbook Air 13 inch on sale directly from iCarbons. I have good and bad things to say about it. First the good. The skin is thick. It has a substantial feel that I really like. Since I was not going to use the track pad cover, I placed it on the corner of my mac air to try it out. I tried to scratch it with my watch band. I had to work at it. I finally used scissors and managed to put a visible mark on it. I really liked the protection from scratches and dirt the skin provides.

Now to the bad. The skin I received did not fit my 2015 macbook air 13" precisely. It was close. But it was tough to apply and get straight because of this unfortunate problem. I was doing the inside surface of the laptop first. I tried to start by lining up the skin around the track pad. It was nearly impossible. If you are off a tiny sliver of an inch the alignment at the edges is a real issue. So I tried another approach. I started to apply from the left edge of the laptop. I got it lined up perfectly to the edge with no aluminum showing and no overhang. Everything looked good until I got to the trackpad. There was a 1/16" - 1/64" (approximately) gap that fell short of the trackpad.

Of course, what that meant was the skin had to be peeled up again and centered around the track pad. This was a time consuming and unforgiving process. After an hour of trial and error, I got the skin on but it was not precisely lined up. The noticeable skew was tolerable to me, but it did decrease the number of stars I give for the product. I have not yet applied the skin to the top and bottom of the laptop because I'll need to wait until I have the quiet, uninterrupted time to get it lined up well enough.

Overall, I am happy with the protection and quality of the materials. But the ease of application would be greatly enhanced if we could start the application from one corner and work out from there. The protection would be full and so would the satisfaction.

UPDATE: I applied the outside skins. The top skin was easier to apply but it also left a 1/16" gap around the edges. The bottom did the same, but it was cut to allow access to the inside of the computer without removing the skin. Because of the lines there, it was fairly easy to apply. It still takes patience, but that is the be expected.

Overall, the laptop looks great and is protected everywhere but in the gaps. I would purchase this skin again.

UPDATE 2: Since I purchased from iCarbons website, they sent me an email to review the skin. I did so with a review very similar to this one. Unfortunately, they waited a good two weeks to finally post it, with editing. BEWARE the reviews on their website. My 3-star review was not placed in chronological order on their site. So it wasn't posted in order of date, or by the number of stars, either. In other words, it was buried on the middle page of their reviews. Nothing is perfect---so every product will get less than 5 star reviews. Given the good qualities of the product, I don't see why the 3-star review would not be in a place that makes sense---the first page or the last page of their reviews.
