I just finished using the Back To Basic's beer shampoos. I was crushed when the discontinued them awhile back and had bought as much as I could. So happy to have found this beer shampoo! Works great! I have dermatitis and can get flakes but it's all gone with this shampoo! Scalp feels clean, refreshed and hair is very soft and looks fuller too (I have thinning hair). I'm a female so the scent is a bit masculine for me but after awhile it goes away. Worth the results I get.

I've been looking for more all-natural products and given that my husband is a beer lover, I thought this would be a great stocking stuffer. I was disappointed to open the box to find that the top wasn't on tight and it leaked a bit, so I emailed the company. He apologized and offered to overnight me a new one. True to his word, he overnighted me both a shampoo AND a conditioner, and I had it in time for Christmas! Well done.

The shampoo itself is great - free of much of the crap chemicals found in most shampoos, but cleans just as good with a nice refreshing scent.

Dry Scalp has Met it's Match!!

I've had a dry scalp for years - stylists and doctors always told me it was dandruff, but the dandruff shampoos, even prescription ones did nothing to resolve the problem... some even made it worse. I have very, very - did I say, very - thick wavy black - now with some grey - hair. Despite liking it long, I wore it super short and spiked for almost 11 years so that I could wash it every day without having to further irritate my scalp by blowdrying, etc. or waiting literally hours for it to dry naturally.

Even so, I lived with the itchy scalp... always having to control myself from scratching like a flea-bitten dog! If you can relate, you know it does detract and distract from whatever you're doing because the itch is constant and you are always aware of it. Then, several month ago, my daughter found and introduced me to Lush natural soaps, etc. and while I LOVE their products, they are much too rich for my pocket book, especially since I have to use more shampoo to penetrate my thick hair. They recommended their Cynthia Stout beer shampoo and for the first time in my memory, my scalp did not itch! A miracle in a very small expensive bottle.

I knew I was going to have to give up Cynthia Stout at $20/3 oz bottle (purchased only once/got barely 3 uses out of it), but I was not willing to give up the no-itch scalp or my now longer hair - so I did the sensible thing and searched on Amazon! Certainly someone else out there made non-sulfate, non etc., beer shampoo! (Hmmm, I just remembered my grandmother telling me to use beer to rinse my hair for better shine but I never liked the smell of it.)

With the help of other reviewers I selected Duffy's Brew ESB Craft Beer Shampoo. YAY! In a 12 oz bottle! YAY! For $18! YAY! On Prime! YAY!! It is milder smelling than Cynthia Stout which is a bonus although some might still not like it. It doesn't bother me, besides once you apply the conditioner you can't smell it anyway. I almost don't need conditioner and other reviewers don't need it, but as I said, my hair is very thick so I do. I've paired it with non-sulfate Agadir Argan Oil Daily Moisturizing Conditioner (see separate review) and my hair is fabulously soft and untangled.

Duffy's Brew has eliminated my itchy, embarrassingly flaky scalp and helps make my hair shiny and soft. I hope it works as well for you as it does for me! :-)

First time I got this on Amazon, the price here is cheaper then on their website. Regardless, I been using this for about 2 months and its amazing. Seriously, I have fine/dry hair and this product gave it volume and a beautiful shine. I have to note for men, women love the smell of this thing. I like it myself but women seem to love it. I get complemented on it about once a week, which is 1 more a week then before... haha Anyway, if you're debating on getting this because of the price( also the bottle isn't the biggest ), I can assure you I've bought Shampoos twice as much as this that didn't even get near this products results. Not sure if it works on all hair types but I think giving this a try is a great idea, A+!

P.s- I know it's beer Shampoo but ummmm ya don't drink it... haha

I ABSOLUTELY ADORE this shampoo!!

Its light and airy, not too much foam or soapiness and washes off very easily and fast with no oiliness. A definite plus that there are no chemicals in this shampoo which i did not realize until i received it- its Paraben, Sulfate, and Phthalate free! But my ultimate favorite thing about this shampoo is the smell...It literally smells like coconut!!! It makes me feel like on i'm vacation once i close my eyes and lather my hair.

I'm ordering more and don't plan on using anything else for a while! I definitely recommended this if you want something light and extremely refreshing..And if you are in need of a vacation start with this, its definitely cheaper than an airfare ticket!!

I only ordered the shampoo as i have been having problems with conditioners leaving my long thin hair too greasy and most shampoos have been drying my scalp out too much and make it itchy even the ones that claim to be organic but after the first use I've noticed the layer of dry skin on my scalp is already almost gone, my scalp isn't itchy and my hair feels soft and light. So far it's a great product especially since I only have the shampoo and it feels moisturized like i used conditioner. Also the smell is nice it's like a slightly musky vanilla scent and just a tiny hint of beer.

I like the shampoo itself, I just wish it came in a better bottle. Every bottle I get seems to leak. As such, don't be surprised by oozing shampoo when you open the package. Also, be careful if you take this product when you travel. Additionally, it is difficult to squeeze the bottle the right way to get the shampoo to come out when the bottle is half-empty. This problem is exacerbated by the thickness of the product. However, the smell of the shampoo is great and does leave my hair feeling clean.

I gave this conditioner with the shampoo as a gift to my boyfriend who loves IPA Craft Beers, we both love the smell but he says that it doesn't help with his dry hair, therefore we would recommended to someone with normal hair.

I honestly just bought this because I love beer and thought it would be neat. Not only is this the best smelling shampoo I've ever used, my hair has never been softer and healthier. Even the people who cut my hair consistently comment on how healthy my hair is.
