Not a good toolby BigRed (2 out of 5 stars)

I wanted to like this product for my daughter (7). She play U9 Development Academy soccer. The primary training outside of practice is to juggle. Getting her to juggle was like pulling teeth. Every possible negative attitude came out when having to practice daily. After reading reviews, watching YouTube videos, and exchanging emails with a club that swears by it, it turns out that this causes more problems than it fixes.
First, it is well constructed and all parts appear to be able to last a while. It does exactly what it is designed to, but it will not improve the skills for juggling. Light touches the ball moves up as much as a proper kick. Kicking it just off center sends it off to the side, but not enough to stop her from reaching and stabbing at it. That behavior carried over to actual juggling and game play. All of a sudden, she is stabbing to reach balls, stretching past a recovery distance instead of shuffling and moving her feet to get her into the correct position.
10's of millions of young kids juggle a soccer ball every day. Nearly all of them learn from trial and error. You do not see this in Europe, Africa, South America, Latin America, Asia, and most parts of the US. The reason is that it will not teach you the ball control skills of juggling with a real soccer ball. A person in our neighborhood was watching my daughter play with it and struggle. Turns out he played in Europe, not elite levels. He quickly pointed out the mechanics she is learning to do it wrong and what would have to be reprogrammed to break. It took 2 weeks to break those bad habits.
My advice is to just get 2-3 soccer balls, STRUGGLE through those painful starts. Create some type of reward system. I used $1 for each plateau until she gets to 100 ($5 for getting to 5, $10 for getting to 10, $25 for getting to 25, etc.) Its like anywhere you read about it, not all great jugglers are great soccer players, but all great soccer players are great jugglers. Stick to kicking a real ball with real gravity.
My son enjoys playing with it

Updating my review of after receiving a replacement part. There is a rubber circle that goes over the part holding the ball. This was unclear to how to use this part upon first receiving the device and I did not set it up correctly. I believe that is why I had a part break. I received a replacement right away.
Anyway, my son enjoys using this. I think its helping but more time is needed to say how much this help. Regardless, I think there is definite benefit to his juggling. I'll try and update later in time.
This will HELP with juggling, but kids will still need some pure ball time.

This actually works reasonably well. It would be better if there was a longer arm and more holes to adjust the settings. The ball has popped out of the holder a couple times, but that has been pretty rare considering how much me and my two kids have used it.
Broke in 2 weeks

Product works well for the purpose it is designed for. Unfortunately, in only 2 weeks of limited use, the rubber "neck" that connects the until to the water bottle base broke. Now I know why they send a replacement "neck" as a part of the unit. That said, If that part doesn't last... It not serve a long-term purpose.
Very cheap and would not waste even $20 on

They sent me an actual water jug with a few rubber sleeves and stickers on it and a 1 inch aluminum pipe- I received it last week and i will be sending this back tomorrow morning- nothing scientific or "0g" about this product at all. Very cheap and would not waste even $20 on this
