I would have written sooner but I hadn't realized that I actually never wrote a review for it. I bought this in....December or November, the shipment was really quick and I remember that it came with a pin that actually broke not too long after, but I still love it. The cloth itself is very beautiful and silky soft, its made out of soft Polyster material, the way it works is that it has white, plastic buttons which you click into place and makes it tie up to you, I think its great since it means that its easier for people of different sizes to actually put it on.

Personally for me it was baggy, which was what I wanted, I ADORE the hat, it has black whiskers, three on each side and covers my face. I am 5'2ft and was 92 pounds when I got this so I am a very tiny person. My mother adored it as soon as I put it on and I just love how soft it feels, its also very warm, I ended up buying one for a friend when he saw mines and he loved it as well, says that its very comfortable. He's about....4'9-4'11ft but a bit more full, I believe I got him a large since he wanted it to be very baggy on him and he said that he loves it as well.

It looks almost like those umbrella puffy raincoat that some people put on, but I think that just might be because of my very petite figure and I wanted it to fit like that. The colors are just like in the picture and the ears are super cute, I love playing with them and the black whiskers. So far it hasn't come apart and still looks like new.

If there is any questions, I don't mind answering them if I know the answer to it. Sorry for the very long review but I wanted to try to be as specific as I could.

Bought charmander for my boyfriend who is 5'9" and about 160lbs. Reading reviews made me think they ran very small so originally I ordered an XL when I would normally order a medium for him. I cancelled that order after reading more reviews and worrying it would be waaaay too large on him, and reordered a large. I'm glad I did because it seems like the right size for him. I wanted to leave a review because it seems like this product and others like it get a lot of mixed reviews. The product itself is great, super soft, washed nicely. It has a giant zipper in the back for easy bathroom access which we both thought was kind of funny, so just be prepared for that! I also bought a pikachu from a different vendor and we both have Pokemon loungewear and potential halloween costumes. Its so cheap, its a good deal. Just make sure you really think about what size to order.

This gets three stars because on the one hand - it is freaking adorable. It's warm, and is my favorite thing to snuggle up in when I'm working at my desk at home. But, alas, the shipping is VERY SLOW - so it didn't arrive in time for me to use it for my halloween costume. Which was the point of the purchase. That said, I use it more than I thought I would! My kids think it's charming, and like to curl up in it, too, when they can get it off of me. :) I love the thing! But if you're thinking of purchasing this with a specific purpose in mind, make sure you give yourself PLENTY of time for it to make it's way to you.

High-Quality, Movie-Accurate Product!

This is a great product! It took a couple of weeks to ship, however that's understandable since it's shipped from overseas.
The gray material is soft and plush (a minky-like texture), however the white belly is of lesser quality. I'd compare it to a thin fleece. Not sure why they chose to make it that way, but it works and looks just fine.
the embroidery on the hood and chest is of high quality. Looks exactly like it does in the picture! The white in the teeth and eyes is the same material as the belly. Works well.
As a few other reviewers mentioned, the hood has whiskers. Three little plastic threads on each side--nothing fancy, but it is cute. Be warned, though; after a few washes, they start to curl a little bit. Nothing distracting however.
There are some snaps on each cuff, so you can wear it either as a poncho or hoodie. Whatever floats your boat.
Ears flop over rather than stand straight up.
Sizing is nice. I'm a 5'2", rather skinny girl and the cuffs come down about an inch above my wrist and the torso part fits like any shirt would. Easy to move around in; doesn't get in the way if you're playing a video game or reading/drawing/eating, but still long enough to keep your arms warm.
My only real complaint is that I wish it had a couple more details. Claws on the cuffs, tail in the back etc. ... however no big deal I suppose.
Holds up in the wash really well. Unfortunately one of my cats peed on it, and it had to be run through the wash several times (it retains scent really well...). Took three washes to get rid of the scent entirely, and it didn't fatigue at all. Keep it away from the cats now!

Overall, an excellent product. I'd reccomend it to any Studio Ghibli fan. Somewhere else on Amazon the company sells other designs (Pikachu and several non-characters...a cat, dinosaur and panda among others) if that tickles your fancy instead.
Oh, and the button? Alas, it broke...very cute design, however. Fell off of the clasp and I gave it to a friend as an oddity.

Awesome material! GREAT FOR COSPLAY

The material is just awesome! It feels like any of my plush toys! I just love the hood part. Totoro has cute whiskers that feel like a sturdy plastic string.
-If you're a size small, this is your size. I'm 4 11 with a petite frame, and this totoro poncho was a perfect fit for me!
-There are snap buttons you need to connect so you have some kind of sleeves and to close the cape as well.

CON: I must say that I'm very scared to constantly snap the buttons together because I feel like the fabric is slowly being stretched as I pull the cape to make it into something else. But whatever, i guess thats a thing that happens to any clothes with buttons right?

I bought this to wear at the office because the AC is always on so I get cold all the time being right under a vent. It's super warm and cozy and my coworkers will get a chuckle or at least smile whenever I'm wearing it.

Of course, most of them have no idea who Totoro is, so they all think it's a cat.

I was a little disappointed with the length of the cloak. I have a fairly short torso, so I thought it would come down a bit more, past my hips, but it stops just above my hips.

The white part of the cloak is a different material than the rest, and it tends to collect lint. Not a big deal so long as you're not a perfectionist.

I got this on a whim when it popped up while I was looking at Totoro stuff. It was listed as a "Totoro cosplay cloak pro version" when I got it and not pajamas.

The Totoro cloak (It's not pajamas!) comes down to my waist in front and my bottom in the back. The gray part is super soft and fuzzy and the white part is kind of like felt. It has a plastic button snap closure at the top and to make the arm/hand holes in the sleeves. It's very warm and comfortable. It looks EXACTLY as pictured! I absolutely adore it. It also came with a pin of some character or another reading a book and wearing the same cloak. :)

This is the third set of animal pajamas/kigurumi I've had, and the first that fit properly. (I'm 6'0", 150 pounds; a medium was tiny, XL was way too big). I got the wolf style and it was comfortable as the dickens. The top button, when closed, is a bit tight but otherwise it fits perfectly. The wolf version comes with a snout that extends off the hood and drops into your field of view, which can be frustrating for hanging out at home. Overall, it's the best of the three I've owned so far, and as a Millennial guy, it's a lot manlier to be a wolf now instead of Pikachu or Totoro. Plus it arrived from China in a week! How is that even possible?!

Really is one size fits all!

LOVE IT. I don't recommend if you hate that the front would show a little bit of your lower stomach. Adorable either way, i bought it for Halloween, and my friends said it was cute on me. I'm 5'1 and 110 pounds so it was pretty roomy. Good for any weight actually, my friend wore it and it looked perfect on her. It's a little snug on the shoulder part, so you have to arrange it. Worth buying it!!

I accidentally ordered the wrong item, but that's entirely my fault. I was going to return it however, I ended up loving this cloak. It's super soft and the whiskers on totoro's face were perfect. There is one clip for the front. It's super cute and comfy to lounge around the house with. The packaging was also really cute. It came with a zip-lock totoro bag where you can keep the cloak and a button with totoro on it. All in all, cute and comfy cloak.
