if you want/need a strap on your iPhone

I could attach a lanyard to my previous iPhone's case, but could not find the same type of case for my new one--so glad I discovered this. Yes, it is definitely pricey... don't see why it has to cost so much, except that there is nothing else like it, as far as I know. I really love being able to hang my phone up on a hook at home so I don't lose track of it. It comes with tiny screws and a tiny screwdriver to match: it really met a need for me.

Made well and good fit
by Jim S (4 out of 5 stars)

The bracket and hook was made well and a good fit.

It came with a very short cord that you attach to the small hook on the bracket. Then what? You have to figure out what else you need to make it work. That might be OK if it was $5.00 or less, not $25.00. I kept it because in searching for a strap on Amazon this bracket seemed to be the best way to attach a strap to an iPhone.

My solution was to use a fishing snap swivel (from Amazon) that is a small clip you attach your cord to. You then clip it to the hook on the phone. This makes it easy to attach and remove the cord. I use the cord only when taking photos.

The 4 stars are because it is way overpriced.

Hardware: good. Lanyard: stinks. Price point: too high

I'm happy to report that this product fits my iPhone 6+. The product is easy to apply, but does take a little finesse when working with the tiny screws. I think the product is a little expensive for what you get. The lanyard that comes with the product is the biggest disappointment. The company provides you with a short string that is not ideal for use as a lanyard. I attempted to tie various knots in the string, but my attempts were in vain as the string became untied on many occasions. In addition to my purchase, I had to purchase lanyards from a different company. For $25 I'd expect a better lanyard.

seems sturdy enough. I have used it for a couple ...

Screws onto the bottom, seems sturdy enough. I have used it for a couple months without trouble. I have to flip it out of the way every time I want to insert the charge cord, but other than that it doesn't interfere (plug seats firmly, etc.). It will interfere with most cases - mine has a soft silicone "bumper" edge so I was able to modify it with an Xacto knife, but for a hard case you'd need a Dremel or similar tool. Having worked with micro-screws before I knew to be gentle with the tightening - with such tiny screws is is VERY easy to accidentally strip the threads if you tighten too hard (I suspect that's what happened to the person whose plate fell off).

Almost perfect

I love that when I couple this with my Incipio stashback case and mirror screen protector, I don't need to tote a purse. Not going to admit that to my spouse though. Cons: It will not fit chargers with a thicker base and the screws can come loose. Tighten those screws every few weeks. First set of screws fell off. Had to place and entirely new order. Amazon customer service says they will issue a refund for my first purchase. Wish it came with another set of screws so I didn't have to place another order. Oh well! At least there's a refund coming.

Just what I needed

This small piece screws into holes already on my iPhone. Then I looped an extra camera strap through it. I now have a secure way to carry my phone on vacation while constantly snapping photos!

Easy way to secure your phone

I really love this idea. You can quickly attach a lanyard to your phone and keep it safe but accessible. I did have some issues with sharp edges on the hinges and they seem to stick out a lot more than I expected, but it's a small price to pay for a secure phone.

Not sure it's worth the price

While the metal base and loop are good quality and seems secure, the included lanyard is nothing more than a short piece of string. For $25 I would have thought they could have done better
