Yeah, it technically "works" but not well. The light is very dim, hard to read, and no where near as bright and crisp as in the photos.

Wish it came in a color other than white. Was somewhat hard to figure out, but my son did it in 2 minutes. It was for him and he loves it. Now, when he wakes up at night, he reaches under his pillow, grabs his gun, points it at the ceiling and knows what time it is without fumbling for his glasses.

Useable only in total darkness at 10' maximum.
Difficult to get the batteries in right!
