Total chinese knockoff, not even a good one. smartphone tones? really? NOT THINK GEEK PRODUCT!!!!

False Descprition, NOT A THINKGEEK PRODUCT. Costs $40 vs $9. Knockoff product, box.. Not the same version sold as ThinkGeek. No think geek mentioning on box or packaging or device itself. No manual. Amazon should remove these.

Very disappointed. This unit is quiet first of all, enough for someone in a cubicle but thats it. No volume control and the songs don't match the desription at all. On a decibal meter this device only went 10 decibles held up to my smart phone with my 60db backgrund AC in the background. Quieter than a pager/smartphone and definitely not enough to annoy anyone with a brain.

Once again this is NOT this product:

Do not waste your money.

Sounds are :
4 different ATT smartphone rings. No joke. I remember them from my smartphone.

Buzz Buzz, Buzz Buzz, Buzz Buzz then nothing

beep beep then nothing

buzz buzz buzz buzz then nothing

My dog didnt even flinch.

FALSE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I work in a small office and chose this over the evil-tron or annoy-a-tron specifically because the description said it had a volume control. I need a volume control because if it's too loud it will be easy to find. This DOES NOT have a volume control!!! I'm not going to waste the time or money trying to send it back, so I don't think the joke will last that long. Not happy.

I like it and it drove my friends crazy

I like it and it drove my friends crazy. The only down side is I cannot figure out how to turn it off. Eventually if I push the buttons enough I stumble on the right setting to turn it off. Going to give it to my grandson for Christmas. He loves to play jokes on his frinds and family.

I've moved this around my office twice to change the battery and my coworker has gone nearly insane looking for the phantom phone in the office. I ordered a second one and with the assistance of her husband i plan on installing one in her car for extended coverage

... a seasoned user of the original Annoy-a-tron I was disappointed in this version
by Thomas Proctor (2 out of 5 stars)

As a seasoned user of the original Annoy-a-tron I was disappointed in this version. It is not subtle. If you place it somewhere it will quickly be the main focus of attention for everyone nearby within the hour - not take days to become truly annoying enough to investigate. The intervals of sounds come in threes, and at about the same interval (every 5 minutes or so, not random). So you get three beeps, or three buzzes in a row every time, and way too frequently in my opinion. It is also too loud with no way to control volume. I recommend the original one, hands down way better.
