94Fifty Smart Sensor Basketball Overview
The 94Fifty Smart Sensor Basketball is the first product of its kind to measure and diagnose the quality of key skills critical to build confidence, versatility and success on the basketball court. The ball utilizes embedded motion sensors to measure the player's skill in real time. This information is sent to a mobile smartphone via Bluetooth and gives players of all skill levels access to immediate feedback on shooting and ball-handling skills. The free, downloaded App contains four distinct experiences, each with its own purpose. Level-up your skills from Playground to Pro in the Workout section. I'm a high school varsity basketball player and one of my main focuses since I started playing the game was to be a good shooter- have good arch, good form, etc. One of my teammates recently got this ball and came over to try it out on my sport court. The feedback after every shot is AMAZING. It gives you info that a coach can't. More arch, less arch. Use your wrist, less shoulder, step into your shoot, shoot faster. Etc, etc. I was dripping in sweat after an hour, and the amount of push the ball gives you is excellent. I just purchased my own and can't wait to receive it- I've never been so motivated to get out and put some work in until now. Not to mention, I felt I improved more in that hour than I have in the last couple years. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND FOR ANY SERIOUS BASKETBALL PLAYER

At the risk of aging myself, only a few things have come around during my lifetime that have revolutionized basketball:
1.) The 3 point line.
2.) The first Air Jordan's.
3.) The 94fifty.
As I get older, I need to find new ways to compete with younger competition and the 94fifty is the perfect coach. In the past, I only had "feel" to fall back on, but now I have data / results. Reviewing my progress makes my time in the gym more efficient, effective and fun. My only regret is that this technology didn't exist when I was in high school or college.
That being said, I have a 4.5 year-old son that LOVES hoops. He's a little too young to benefit from the features, but I am so excited that I'm going to have a tool to help him with his game.
Lastly, the 94fifty isn't cheap, but besides a great product, you get great support. I had a minor issue with my ball, but one call to customer service resolved the issue. The representative listened, responded prompted and helped ensure I had the ability to maximize my ball. The 94fifty staff is committed to ensuring everyone's experience lives up to expectations.
The 94fifty is the perfect ball for the serious basketball player or the parents / coach looking to provide their kids with the a great tool to build confidence and improve their games.

What a fantastic piece of training equipment! The kids like to argue or dismiss what the coaches are telling them about their shots and dribbling but you can't argue with a computer. The facts are staring them straight in the face. I love that it combines two of the kids loves...technology and basketball. The customer service department for 94fifty is incredible.

Amazing technology and product. My son is 16 avid passionate basketball player and this adds to his great coaches he gets. Stays focused, holds him accountable and give him instant feedback. With all the egos on a basketball court your can't argue with data! Congrats on an amazing product. This isn't an expensive ball but a cheap personal coach!

I don't need to discuss the issue of weather or not the 94Fifty Smart Sensor Basketball is better than working with a coach, as I feel nothing beats a real coach. What I do Know. is that my 11 year old son is working on more and more drills and technique because of this product. Maybe he thinks its cool because he gets to use his iPad, and he is able to track his progress. This has been a great tool / motivator for him to play more ball and learn technique and drills in the "off season." I have had no issues with connectivity or dead spots in the ball, that others have reported.

I gave a 94Fifty Basketball to my 12 year old nephew for his birthday. He told me it was the best gift he has ever received. A few weeks later his mom called me to let me know how much he has been using the basketball. She is amazed at the amount of time per day he uses it without even knowing he is practicing. He has his friends over all the time and they compete for hours at a time. I would recommend the 94Fifty Basketball to anyone looking for a cool gift for aspiring basketball players who want to get better and have a ton of fun.
Looses Bluetooth connectivity

Beware and read reviews carefully. I actually purchased this ball for my daughter. It is great tool, if it works.
The ball looses Bluetooth connectivity. So it does not capture all the metrics advertised. All we have now is a over priced basketball.
I have tried contacting customer support several times. I received one response asking about the device ( iPhone4s and 5). I have been waiting for response and now requesting a refund. Will keep this review update with refund progress.

Waste of money

I bought this ball form my 7th grade son. I coach his youth team and he has been working hard on his game. he used this ball once and then has not touched it again. The major reason is that there is a dead spot in the ball, apprently where the sensor is, so that when dribbling, it doesn't bounce right when that spot hits the ground. because of that, the ball can't be used for normal play, only for the specific drills. He alternates between playing and practicing and having to swap balls is just not something he is going to do. Company just told me that is part of the ball. It sits unused, waste of money,
