The only thing about this product that was misrepresented by the manufacturer is that it only has a way to get paint out of a one gallon paint can. I had an old version of this product (about 7 years old that died) that also had an adapter hose to get paint out of a 5 gallon paint bucket. Luckily I still had the old adapter around. Otherwise, this product is awesome. If you have a large area to paint, like the exterior of a house, or large rooms, painting with this is about 5 times faster than with a normal roller. Plus, it does not leave paint lines on the left or right edge of the roller like a normal roller does. This is because the wagner roller is held on very tight which does not allow the roller to move, thus it produces a much better finish than a normal roller. If you have a large area to paint, like the exterior of a house, or a large room, this will make that project a breeze.

Device saves time if you are doing big rooms or a lot of the same color. For a small room or a single wall it's not worth the time of properly cleaning it afterwards, which seems to take 20-30 mins. But when you are painting a bunch of rooms the same it's definitely a timesaver!

Works very well but doesn't come with a 5 gallon adapter. Called wagner and they said I would have to order it from them. Very disappointed about that so I went to hardware store and made adapter myself. Would have given 5 stars except for the price you would think they could have included 50 cents more material.

Had 4 rooms to paint and this did make it faster . Spatter guard work good on ceiling but you do need to keep an eye on it for paint build up , once the paint builds up it will drip if you turn it .

Great power roller

Great power roller, wont use anything but this to paint. Did a 12x12 room with a double coat in about 5 hrs, most of that was cutting in and waiting for the paint to dry enough for second coat. Only tip for use, if painting over existing paint, move roller nice and slow, otherwise you will get air pockets and when the paint dries you will see tiny dots withoutpain.

PROS
1. Allows you to cut your painting time in half.
2. No more stooping and rolling in a paint tray.
3. Covers flawlessly and seamlessly.
4. Comes with different texture rollers.
5. Easy to clean.
6. Easy to climb on ladders to reach higher spots without coming down for more paint.
7. Tubes for paint to flow through are very long so you don't need to keep moving the unit as you move to paint.
8. You control the flow of paint at all times! You can turn the flow of paint off at any time so you are never wasting paint.
9. Unused paint goes back into the paint bucket by simply pressing a button! Considering how expensive paint is these days, you get a lot more paint for your money...less waste!
10. Soap and water is all you need to clean the unit.

CONS
1. Handle/roller gets heavy after a while, especially while painting higher walls.
2. Extension pole really not that long...wish it was longer.

HELPFUL HINTS
1. Buy an empty gallon paint can to make clean-up a breeze. Put soapy water in it and let it run through. Run a second cycle with just plain water to remove any soapy residue.
2. Get a large 5 gallon paint bucket from Home Depot or Ace for only a few dollars to aid with additional clean-up.
3. Use a toothpick to clear any paint blockage in the roller holes while cleaning.
4. Cover everything just to be safe...this doesn't really splatter much, but if you have too much paint on the roller (even with regular rollers), the paint will drip.
5. Instructions state that you should use the setting of 9 for painting with the larger rollers...this is too much paint! The setting of 3 is sufficient.

Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and it has saved me a lot of time. The finished look is professional and covers the walls seamlessly. I have the textured walls and only needed one coat because of the even, steady flow of paint coming from the unit. Your first paint job may have a slight learning curve, but after a little while, you will be painting like a pro!

This is a Great roller for the money

I owned one of these Wagner power rollers back when they first came out and was impressed with it then. I purchased this one to paint the exterior of my Stucco home here in Florida. This is a Great roller for the money. It will save you lots of time by constantly feeding paint to the roller and it's very easy to keep the right mount of paint in the roller to keep going without stopping. I would recommend that you get the 5 gallon bucket accessory as this will keep you from having to stop to refill the one gallon can. This unit paints very well and I think it's well worth the money. It's very easy to use. Clean up is a bit time consuming but here's a tip I use. Lightly coat all the quick connect pieces with petroleum Jelly or silicone before you get started. This makes cleaning these small part very easy and quick and will save you time. The only issue I had with it was uncontrolled drips from the roller head. I'm sure this was because I was really loading up the roller with paint in order to work the paint into the crevices of the stucco. Other than that, this is a Great product.

Painted the INTERIOR of our house in less than an hour. Uh ... make that per WALL!! (HA!). Well, what did you expect? Miracles!!?

Would buy it again ... but I don't need two !!
