This does not have a timer, so if you child goes to sleep with it you need to remember to go in and turn it off. Otherwise you go through a crazy amount of batteries

It was for my son, X'mas present ..he loves Dolphin and has 8 stuffed Dolphins in cluding Winter as well., every each has name, loves it but no snout. That's why, he gave it name Davphin! Five stars!!!
