I'm not sponsored and go no secret deal. I am seeing way too many bogus reviews on Amazon lately.

I placed my order 29 June and had it on 1 July, 2015.

This is a review of my recent Amazon purchase of Portable Charger 6000mAh - External Battery Power Bank from Gembonics. I am using it to charge my Moto X with its internal (non replaceable) 2200 mAh battery. Logic would make me think I could get an additional 3 spans of battery time from my phone by having the Charger unit.

The Charger unit is: 3.9 x 1.6 x 0.9 inches ; 4.8 ounces

Compared to my smart phone: : 2.6 x 0.4 x 4.9 inches ; 4.6 ounces

It's similar to carrying a second phone. The shape of the unit isn't flat, it's oval. I'm not sure that's an issue but it won't fit in a shirt front pocket.

For under $20, to get the ability to recharge or "extend" the operation of my Moto X 2 or more and maybe up to 3 or more (not fully tested yet; one half charge took one quarter of it's capacity) full battery charges is amazing value!

The battery came with the usual Amazon quickness that I've come to expect. I had zero problems as reported by others. The cable worked perfectly. The charger was simple and it worked perfectly. The directions are a bit confusing, so I just figured out how it worked; simple enough! I have had a few occasional problems with the light as others reported. It takes a very specific double click action to get it to come on and off. This would be virtually impossible to do in one's pocket but it DOES HAPPEN.

What got me to buy it was one engineer's review of the power output and reserves of this small unit. That engineer's review was impressed. And so far, I think I am seeing the same thing. At the end of the day you want a battery to hold as much power per weight as possible and to give it all back to you when you need it. If it doesn't pan out over a longer test period I will let you know.

What I really love is that I no longer feel I have to worry about getting back to plugged power. The moto x has a relatively small battery and relatively modest times between charge. Just sitting, it can go nearly 24 hours but if you are a heavy user, like me, on the internet and using apps sometimes for hours straight, you can run out of luck in 4 hours. Sometimes that's not long enough. Say you are taking pictures, or are working away from a charging. Or flying!

The unit came ¾ charged. I put it on an available usb outlet (not supplied) and it took a while, plan to wait for charge, not a problem. I used the supplied cable. When my moto x was down to half battery, I connected it to the unit and continued to use my phone. It took an hour to bring it back up to 100%. The unit's capacity dropped back to ¾ charged. Not bad!

Presently, I see no issues, only great value, and great performance of this purchase. It meets the need.

I like this little guy and am hopeful for it when I need more time on my phone away from a plug.

I have only used it a couple of times but so far very pleased with this portable charger. I got this charger to put in my purse so I could charge my phone if I wasn't near an electrical outlet. I had a different portable charger but it is to heavy to carry in my purse. This charger is lightweight and do smaller so it does not take up a lot of room in my purse. I also liked the charging cord that comes with has three different plugs, so I can charge my Samsung phone, or my IPad and the other plug might be for different of tablet that I don't have.

I keep this in my purse all charged up and ready to go for those surprise battery losses and getting stuck when traveling. Beside getting the job done so well and very very quickly, it's great looking, feels good in my hand, is super lightweight, and has a three way cord that will work for all my devices including my new iPhone 6 and my blue tooth earpiece. It's a security blanket I wish I had had when I got stuck in the rain in downtown Seattle and my phone was unexpectedly out of juice. I couldn't Uber it or call a cab until I found a coffee shop with an electrical outlet and I was almost late for the wedding! Now I don't leave home without it.

The battery charger was a gift for my wife. We tried it out yesterday and it charged itself and then charged her i-phone without a problem. I was not so happy, however, with the instruction folder. -- it was impossible to read the print without a magnifying glass. I also found it not so easy to understand either. We needed more info on the flashlight function. The flashlight was on for the first i-phone charge until we figured out how to turn it off. Hey, all's well that ends well. The device itself is great and performs as promised. Should be very useful. The instruction booklet . . . not so much.

got this for the granddaughter for christmas and it goes everywhere with her, quite literally...she uses it constantly for a number of gadgets and has asked for another for her birthday...for that matter i may just buy a bunch of them and hand them out as gifts through the year...i could use one, hubby wants one...very! nice...and a nice case too

So far so good! It seems like a super solid product! It is neat, looks good, and comes with a nice looking case to keep in you purse or store it in. While I have not used it to charge an item yet, I did charge it well... Sometimes our electricity goes out in winter so this should come in really handy. I have high hopes it will work just fine from other reviews but just being honest I have not really tried it to actually charge an item. If it works super great I can honestly best bang for your buck!

This charger charges my phone as fast as if I plugged it into the wall. It is extremely portable I can fit it in my pocket or in my pocketbook. It charges three or four times if not more before the charger needs to be plugged in and stays charged for a long time
It does not charge iPads. But it's perfect for my phone and very affordable The customer service is amazing and I definitely suggest this products. It broker Amazon say it's under warranty . They sent one out right away.

I always look for new battery pacls to be prepared for keeping phones availablen for news and communication.

I gave as a gift for a family during hurricane season with chance for power outages.

No emergencies but it still get used regularly and fits nearly into a handbag .

I LOVE LOVE this product. Having an iPhone and often being out of the house it is crucial that I have a way to keep it charged, as it is my line to my business. I have other battery chargers, but none I like as well as this. Even the charger that plugs in to my car does not charge my iPad - so the only way I have to boost my iPad is the wall socket or my computer - no efficient on the road charger. Now I have one that does both. It is very nice looking, and feels good in my hand - not cheap. I like the fact it also has a little LED light you can turn on. I would recommend this to anyone who has mobile electronic equipment.

I ordered 4 of these for my family for Christmas and we love them! There was an issue with one of the units and customer service responded immediately and sent a new unit at no cost. These chargers look great compared to others on the market, and the carrying pouch is great. My kids have already used their chargers for their iPhones and iPads while on the go and they were very happy with the speed of charging.
