At least this one can charge batteries. I'm not an electrician but those smaller 15 watt portable solar chargers just will not fully charge a 18650 or for that matter it has difficulty with AA batteries. This one works!

Great USB Charger
by Drew (5 out of 5 stars)
July 29, 2017

Took it on a 2 week camping trip It was able to keep my USB devices charged, even on the partly cloudy days. Charging a portable power brick was a little iffy. But after doing the math, it would take hours to recharge a power brick under full sun. It worked great keeping it topped off.

great panels for camping
by James Fehling Jr. (5 out of 5 stars)

I purchased this panel to charge my PowerOak 400wh Portable Solar Generator while i am camping (link to poweroak - http://www.amazon.com/PowerOak-Portable-Generator-Storage-Lightweight/dp/B017WCOKGI?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s01&tag=c-t-20) and i have to say i am thrilled. the panels come with all kinds of adapters to fit a ton of different laptops (that i really dont need) but i did use one so i could connect the poweroak battery to the solar panels. the solar panels recharged the poweroak in about 9 hours on a full sun day. one thing i was disappointed about was that the panels did not have hanging tabs all around the panels like the goal zero panels have. i had to do some experimenting to get them to stay were i wanted them because the panel is so long. other than that i am thrilled with the panel. it has no problem charging an iphone even on a cloudy day and kicks butt on a sunny day. folds up nice and includes the charging wire for my poweroak battery.

Worst buy for our sailboat next to the Li-Po battery ...
by Amazon Customer (1 out of 5 stars)

The 12v port burned up within a week, and Amazon would not return it. We used the USB port for about two more weeks, then it burned up as well, now sitting "like new" in box under table. Worst buy for our sailboat next to the Li-Po battery pack, which also failed.

I am testing the 60W model now. As seen in picture i am trying to charge a Macbook pro retina 13". I tried while the Macbook was on, it didn't seem to do much. Now i shut it down and it is recharging slowly. I guess there are no complaints here so far.

Just received the Poweradd High Efficient 60 W solar charger ...
by New Dancer (2 out of 5 stars)

Warning....2 days after receiving unit.... does not charge my 15" Sony Vaio T Series Ultrabook ...I put it on 9:45 AM on my porch in slight haze to full sun with 12 % battery life... at 2:07 PM I had 8% battery life... the charge light was flashing slowly, not a steady light when plugged in. I thought it was unique to Sony so I pugged in my 2011 Acer timeline 1830 T ultrabook at 2:30 PM slightly hazy sunny day with 89% charge....at 6:09 PM the charge was 87%... both computers were totally off... I put on a digital meter and held the panel in the sun, the most I could get was 17.1 volts. I am very disappointed... maybe I have a bad unit? will send it back for another. 2 days ago I said "Just received the Poweradd High Efficient 60 W solar charger.... It is small, about 60" long stretched out by 11"... tried putting it on my couch by the tinted window and charging my 18" laptop... it said connected but not charging... when I moved the unit outside on my sunny porch, it charged my 5 yr old Toshiba 18" laptop from 91% to 99% in a half hour and my LG G3 cell phone from 83% to 96% in about 45 min. I kept my cell phone charging and connected the battery cable adapter, the voltage meter read about 14-15V. I also may use this compact unit as a spare 12V battery charger . I hope to be able to put this 60 W charger inside the windshield of my Sprinter RV to charge my laptop while boon docking."

GREAT Customer Service! 60 Watt Panel Review
by Joshua C. Delaney (4 out of 5 stars)
February 12, 2015

NEW UPDATED REVIEW: The company that sells this product is very good! The product ultimately did not work for me. It would not charge my Toshiba Satellite L955-S5370 or my Dell Latitude E7240 (even after purchasing compatible tips seperately). Also, it would only charge my iPad Mini Retina, iPhone 6, and iPhone 5S at the one amp charging rate, although the specs say it will charge at two amps. But customer service was very helpful and even allowed me to return the product and issued me a refund through Prime long after the return deadline. Great responsiveness and willingness to help!

Anyone have any good suggestions of such a device
by C Newlands (4 out of 5 stars)

Hi I bought the 60W Foldable Solar Panel. Does anyone know if I can just plug the alligator clips directly on to a 12v car battery to charge it, or do I need to step it down to 12-14v? Anyone have any good suggestions of such a device?
