Getting Your Keys Into the Keyport
Keyport's proprietary key blanks called Blades include a one-size-fits-all head and seamlessly take the place of your current keys. Your bundle includes one SC1 Blade blank and one KW1 Blade blank, the two most common residential key types, to get you started (other Keyport Blade Blanks sold separately). You can take them to any locksmith to be duplicated from your original keys.

There really isnt anything else that holds keys and tools as efficiently as this device. It pretty much became my key holder. It's small, compact, and easy to use. The keys are held securely in place and will not fall out or become damaged unless it's treated with excessive force. Must have device.

THOUGHTS

I initially bought this bundle from another "geeky" website and was so stoked I actually bought 2 sets. Here's what you need to do, from start to finish, to have a fully functional keyport.
1) Purchase keys on their website
2) Print out sheet of paper, place keys on it
3) Take front and back photos
4) Upload it to their website with attached documents and order number
5) Once keys come in, take master and blank to a locksmith to get them made
6) Pay locksmith for cutting keys (most locksmiths include the cutting price with the key price, but you brought your own, so it varies)

Here's my biggest gripe.... I got my 2 blanks and took them to a locksmith who was kind enough to cut them for free. One was for the car and the other for the fuel cap (2000 Subaru). Car key wouldn't fit, but fuel cap works. Contacted Keyport about my beef with this key. They sent another one, which happened to be the same key number as my last one. I went to a DIFFERENT smith to get them cut. He looks at it and says "yeah this won't work, this blank isn't for your car."

Keyport sent me 2 of the same blanks, one didn't work, and another the locksmith says he won't even try because it's incompatible. At that point I got so frustrated I went back to my old keychain.

I was contacted by the Keyport customer service and they offered to personally cut two keys for me. Very satisfied now with their professionalism and willingness to help out that I'll revisit doing business with them in the future. Changing my review from 2 stars to 4 stars now :)

Super cool gizmo

I've had a Keyport for a little over a year now. Super cool gizmo! I've got the flashlight and black ink pen as my two non-key options. I just wish Lexus would start talking to the Keyport folks so I could get my smart-key programmed into my Keyport module. But non-smart key users can have their car keys programmed with the security chip. Just not for us with push button start...yet. I get questioned all the time about it, that is always followed by "where can I get one?" Up until now you had to go directly to their website or store. Glad to see them on Amazon now. Highly recommended for MC riders or just any gadget folks like myself.
