Works great with my Samsung Galaxy 5by Luis (4 out of 5 stars)

I have had this since Christmas. Works great with my Samsung Galaxy 5. Love the OK GOOGLE voice commands.
Pros: hands free is nice for about everything. Battery life is great, but also depends on your usage. For me texts, email, snapchat, and call notifications are the biggest uses. I do use the hands free commands a lot to initiate phone calls or randomly google Chuck Norris to impress my friends. You can also set alarms on the watch. However beware it does not make your phone go off, just your watch vibrates when you make a reminder on your watch...so if you take it off at night don't have it as your wakeup alarm. Google navigation is pretty cool too. If you initiate it on your watch you will have a tiny map and it will vibrate before turns. I also love the fact the watch face stays on!
Cons: Maybe it is asking too much but trying to text back on the watch itself without doing the voice commands, but honestly the technology is there but the software needs to catch up. For example, there is no keyboard on the watch...however there are free and not free apps you can download for that.....however the FLIPKEY I did pay for is pretty horrible. It does not get the correct letter when you touch it...total waste of time and money. So for the mean time forget slyly replying to a text on your watch during a meeting or class....until someone comes up with a better program that is. If you find one let me know...or LG should just put one in, in my opinion.
Overall still haven't explored everything on it, but it is a nifty little addition if you are a tech lover. I am a woman with relatively small wrists and I like the look. Comfort is good too!

This thing is sturdy, reliable, effective, affordable with a great battery and seemless integration. Make sure your phone is at least android 4.3. I got this watch because it's the highest rated smart watch on consumerreports.com, even higher than the premium apple iwatches.
The most important thing I'd say to people considering this device is to understand it's purpose and limitations.
This is not a stand-alone computing device that runs its own apps, you install the apps on the phone and the watch reflects the notifications. The only thing this watch can do on its own is tell time, count steps/heart rate and light the dark.
Using it while driving and using the maps navigation app is a huge help because it tells you what turn to take at what distance at a glance to your wrist while your phone speaks the directions which makes navigating while driving much safer. If you use the maps app without a destination programmed it will also show you where you are on google earth and the surrounding areas which is really cool.
I text a lot so it's really nice to be able to see and ignore the little messages without haiving to wrangle my phone out of my pocket. Or, if you like, you can answer the little messages with quick, spoken replies. Google is good at converting the speech to text as long as you're clear. It also displays emails and other notifications but I haven't tried responding with a vocal dictation for these other features.
If you get it for music control most of the apps act as a kind of shuffle feature (with volume control) rather than an ipod kind of interface but I expect there'll be good apps for this in the future that will let you select artist, songs, albums, etc.
If you have android 5.0 or higher phone a great feature is as a trusted device. I tried it on an android 5.0+ phone and you don't have to put in a pin or password on the lock screen because the phone knows your watch is trusted and only you would be wearing your watch. You just wake up the phone and it's ready to go.
The interface to choose the apps isn't great because you can only really select one at a time which can take awhile if I you to get to an app at the bottom of the list. I got the Wear Mini Launcher app which displays all the apps at a glance which is a lot better and since the watch allows for this i won't mark it against it.
I'm excited to see what kind of apps and support will be available for this and similar platforms in the future. I think that the current capabilities are only scratching the surface of its potential.
Exceeded my expectations.

This watch has lasted me for a little less than 2 years and all I have to say is this watch has lasted a longer time than most of my phones did. Battery STILL lasts me a full day and a half. And I was dumb and didn't buy a screen protector for it. However I only have a single scratch on it with it being unprotected for the <2 years I have had it. Even to this day I still get compliments about the watch. Only one complaint though. On very rare occasions the screen will freak out and I will have to reboot it. That has only happened twice though, so not bad at all considering it is never restarted thoughout months (as long as I remember to charge it).
Best Android Wear device yet

Excellent battery life, brilliant screen, beautiful design, this is so far the best Android Wear device I've ever seen and owned. While I wish the charger was wireless, it's not too difficult to get it seated correctly in the dark since it does use magnets. They get away with a full circle by not including an ambient light sensor but I've not found that to be any problem. This watch lasts me almost two full days on a single charge with regular use. My other devices usually barely made a single day.
Also, I've had people compliment it then realize it's a smart watch because the screen is so crisp and vibrant it looks like a real watch.
I bought this used like new. Plastic was still on the watch

I bought this used like new. Plastic was still on the watch. The battery was completely dead, I plugged it in and it charged up just fine and still holds a charge for a good day and a half. The only issue I have noticed so far is the step counter is terrible, walked side by side with my wife shopping, she showed over 2500 steps, my watch claimed around 200. Since then I've tested it many times and it's always way low. If the step counter was the reason I bought it, it be gone. But I like it, it looks very nice and a watch is the only accessory / jewelry I wear, so I'll live without knowing how many steps I take.
Fantastic smart watch with impressive styling and battery life!

I've been following this watch for a while, reading the reviews, which are mostly mixed, but I honestly can't identify with the cons that are griped about in some of these reviews. First of all, it WORKS, and works well. You get the latest version of Android Wear, which is vastly improved, and includes the ability to use wifi connectivity to get notifications from your phone when out of Bluetooth range, which works REALLY WELL. It also turns the wifi function on or off depending if you have a Bluetooth connection with your smartphone, which extends battery life.
And speaking of battery life, I've tried the Moto 360, the Gear Live and Gear Fit, and the problem, just like with the Apple watch is that you pretty much have to charge it every single evening. Well, I'm pleased to say that the Urbane can go two days of FULL USE (display always on, all notifications on, wifi on, bright display, etc.)! For ONCE I don't have to worry about whether my smart watch is going to last the day or not. For example, I wore it for a full 24 hours (yes, even while sleeping) , and by noon the following day it still had 54% charge left. While that doesn't match the Pebble's 7-10 days between charges, the Urbane sports an absolute gorgeous PLED display that looks incredible.
The styling is the best of any smartwatch I've seen, including the Apple watch, at least in my opinion, because it has a round face, classic stainless steel in silver or gold, and a premium watch band. Oh, and you can place any watch band of 22mm if you want to further personalize it.
While it doesn't have 1000s of apps like the iWatch, it is distinguished by the superb speed, responsiveness, and features that the Apple watch hasn't implemented very well yet.
It's been awhile since I've been blown away by a product, and never completely by a smartwatch. I am exceptionally pleased with the LG Watch Urbane.
Nearly Perfect

I purchased the LG Urbane here on Amazon refurbished. When I was first looking, a new copy of the watch was running for nearly $300, far outside my price range. I kept an eye on used and refurbished models, and when I saw on pop up on Amazon for $150 I pulled the trigger. This is my second Android smartwatch, and after about 1 month of use, here are my thoughts:
Pros:
1. It looks professional. Unlike my first Android Watch (the LG G Watch) this round watch stands out because it doesn't really LOOK like a smart watch. The shiny metal bezel is round enough (and not too thick) to pass off for a regular mechanical or digital watch. Most people don't even notice the LED watch face until they get close enough to see the brightness automatically change or I speak into the watch itself.
2. The software is a ton less buggy than it was a year ago. When I got my first Android watch (see above) I was continually fighting bugs, freezes, random restarts, and more. This might have been due to several factors including first generation hardware and first generation software. Since Android Wear updated to Android Marshmallow, things have been (for the most part) fairly responsive and trustworthy. I do STILL sometimes fail to get my voice commands to work if the paired phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 5) has just disconnected from a wireless network and is trying to switch to cellular data, but that doesn't happen terribly often.
3. The watch seems to be of high quality leather. Unlike some other smart watches with those (I think) silly looking plastic or rubber bands, this dark band is classy enough to match casual attire and dressy attire both.
Cons:
1. Occasionally the software can be buggy. As I stated above, if the phone is just getting out of range of a wifi network OR is coming into range of a known wifi network, the software doesn't work terribly well since you don't have a strong wifi signal yet and Android OS isn't terribly great at switching back and forth between data and wifi at the drop of a hat.
2. It's still a bit thicker than many watches. Though not terribly noticeable, you might find yourself irritated with the larger bulk of the watch. The face is larger round than other watches and thicker than the Apple Watch. If you have a tiny wrist, this is probably not the watch for you.

The watch has a very good battery life of around 2 days (good for a smartwatch) on average use. There is no lag when moving through the menu and other screens. It has many good features that I do use quite a bit such as acting as a music player with bluetooth headphones, heart rate monitor, finding your phone and even counting steps. There are some things that it does not do as well such as answering a phone call due to lack of speakers you will need to be connected to bluetooth headphones to hear what the person is saying. If you are looking for a watch that is pretty cheap and has many smartwatch capabilities with a better than average battery life this is the watch for you.
Great watch with lots of options for different faces and abilities

I LOVE my LG Urbane. I probably have 50 different watch faces and I switch them around weekly, sometimes daily. Everything works as promised and I haven't had any problems with apps not working on my watch. My only issue is I need reading glasses to see the tiny font, but that is a sign of old age... ;) Other than that, love it. Even the band works perfectly because I can wear it with all my suits for work without worrying whether it will match. Can't recommend it enough.
Just a bit glitchy

I'm befuddled by all the positive reviews. Mine is way too buggy to recommend. It never charges without some sort of malfunction. For example, yesterday it read 21% A half hour later it read 24% Then it suddenly showed 100% I took it off the cradle and restarted it and it showed 84% When I restarted it its first attempt at reboot failed. I go through this literally every other day when I charge it. It's ridiculous. The heart rate monitor is almost worthless, it's so inaccurate. The play/pause functionality with media apps on the phone fails as often as it works. On the plus side, the screen is quite nice. The blacks are really black. The watch also looks very good, although it's so bulky my sleeves almost always get caught on it when I take off my shirts. The mic is good enough that the Google Now features relying on voice work very well. I've been impressed with that.
All that said, I'm persuaded of the benefits of smartwatches. If this worked ideally it could:
Allow you to start/stop/fast-forward/rewind/change volume on media without having to go through your phone's unlock screen. Since this is on your wrist it doesn't seem necessary to lock it. I can pause playback while using my phone for navigation, so I don't have to fumble with app-switching while driving.
Sleep tracking app Sleep as Android offers some insight into sleep patterns, and it works better with a smart watch.
Discrete alarm/timer. Wake or remind yourself without bothering anyone.
Read emails/texts without taking out phone
Google Keep app and other common apps can be used discretely. You can take notes with voice or make voice recordings. This works well.
Find your phone if you misplaced it. This is a great feature.
I hope future updates fix the glitches because this could be pretty great. As is, it's impossible to recommend.
EDIT April 24, 2016. An recent update seems to have helped. The glitches with battery level are still there but are less frequent. I also noticed the LG Pulse app for heart rate monitoring is a little more accurate than Google Fit because it seems to sample over a longer time span. Also, the price has fallen on some sites so it is looking like a nice deal if you are interested in this sort of gadget. Lastly, I realized that the play/pause functionality only works if you started playback on the phone from an app, not from a widget (like on the lock screen). I'm still wearing it every day and enjoying it.

i originally purchased a moto 360 locally(bestbuy). I really liked it but had to return it for warranty repair, then when the warranty was up started having other issues with it. I really liked the look of the lg watch r. as a replacement for my moto 360. I saw a great deal on amazon.com for the urbane (supposed to be 100 bucks more than the r watch but was actually a bit cheaper). when it came i was a little taken aback by the size, since it doesnt look that big in pictures or on reviews. The watch face itself is the same size but the lugs on either side make it look a bit bigger. I am getting used to the size though and it is growing on me. I like the battery life. my moto 360 never lasted longer than a day, and near the end of its like it couldnt even last a full day. I get 2 days of battery out of the urbane which is fine. If you have big wrists you might need to swap out the band because i have average wrists and my strap barely fits me. The watch isnt quite as comfortable as my moto 360 was for all day wear, but it is acceptable. Charging is fast and convenient, but i wish they would design a charger like the moto 360 that lets you use the watch as a clock(which by the way is the only thing i am using my 360 for now is as a clock. lol). Screen has nice colors and i love using custom watch faces. over all really like this watch. just needs to be a bit smaller and to be able to charge wirelessly.
