Actually, much better than I had hoped for

I am pretty impressed. I bought this for lightweight backpacking and camping. It's not super light weight, and has some heft, but it's small thus not weighing much. And it's very versatile. Don't expect miracles. It's a 7" tool, not a full sized hammer or hatchet. The hatchet size is more like you'd find in a 1960s boy's toy tool box, but in a pinch, it will work. So will the hammer. For driving tent stakes, this little hammer will work. And the small hatchet is pretty sharp and will make slicing kindling a breeze. The knife and saw are about the same.

For the price, I'm impressed.

Can you really go wrong for $12?!? C'mon... just buy it! You know you want to.

For $12 I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered it but thought it could be useful to keep in my truck as it's an all-in-one 'mini tool box' that might come in handy some day. I was very impressed with the quality and sturdiness of it right out of the box. For the price, even if I never used it, it's peace of mind knowing that I have it in my glove compartment should a need ever arise. In less than 24 hours I needed a hammer to fit into a small, tight space while fixing something for my parents. The regular size hammer was too big and I couldn't get the job done. I went to my truck, pulled the took out of my glove compartment and finished the job. It's already paid for itself within 24 hours! You're not going to use this to nail in studs and sheetrock or take down that tree you've been meaning to clear, but for light use in a pinch, this should do the job. I'm not big into camping and consider a two-start hotel with HBO roughing it, however, I can see this being very useful for camping and hiking. Too bad this wasn't in the box that washed up for Tom Hanks in 'Castaway' or else he'd be all set (once he mastered making fire). I decided to buy 3 more to give to each of my kids to keep in their vehicles or to use when they go camping, hiking or rock climbing. How could you go wrong for $12!?! I'm going to keep them in mind for small gifts as well.

If you like satire and multi-tools you'll love this

This thing is hilarious. When I bought it I knew it would be absolute garbage.. but I LOVE "so bad it's good things" and this is the physical manifestation of that for multi-tools.

Where do I begin? It's as though an engineer sat down and said "how can I render all of the features completely worthless" I'll review each part individually.

Hammer : It's miniscule and built onto some cheap mild steal. I have complete faith it'll fail if I hit anything with it.

Axe?/Hatchet : This thing is comical.. maybe two inches of "cutting" area so dull you'll probably cut through wood faster with the hammer.

Pliers : While technically they are pliers.. between the hatchet ... thing on one side and the ... hammer.. on the other I really can't fathom what application these pliers would be able to handle.

Knife : Duller then a butter knife and made from lesser steal.

Screwdriver : It'll bend with minimal pressure

Serrated blade/Saw : Just no to both... completely worthless.

Wrench/File : These tools must be made from mild steel rendering then worthless for any of these tasks.

With all of that in mind you also have to consider the thing is assembled with some of the cheapest rivets I've seen. It's like a broke 1500 era blacksmith drunkenly hammered them into place. The "tools" only safety is that they rotate on washers so poorly made they grind. The wood handles are rough and unfinished.

Holy hot spots.. I can't fathom a way to use this thing without nearly instantly forming blisters.. it bites your hand like a rabid raccoon.

In conclusion : unless you're just looking to laugh at how useless this thing is and have 13 dollars to burn on an evening of chuckling at the worthlessness of this thing.. save your money. As an outdoorsman you could spend that money on a Mora knife that will serve you way better then this comedy piece.

Just as described- the size is just right and handy. Its not heavy as I thought it would be.Thanks addinng a case that you can actually slide in your belt for easy carry. All the tools included are very useful for our daily chores just like putting up the Christmas tree last night.Screw driver to put the stand together, cut the ropes and hang xmas stuff on the wall-versatile toll indeed. My son and my husband were trying to keep it for themselves.I guess we need one more for my sons fishing trip.

I love this tool! We live (& love) to go hiking & backpacking & were looking for a tool compact & strong enough to come with us-- this is great. I love the mini axe (with included sheath, thanks for that)! Convenient carrying case is great. Love the quality! (Only thing missing is a corkscrew!)

Cute *little* MultiTool that is handy for small jobs
by Kim T. (4 out of 5 stars)

This Rose Kuli Portable Multipurpose MultiTool was heavier than expected, and the ax is sharp. It is small but would be a super handy tool to keep in the car or boat. The wood handle is nice and the knife tool is sharp too. I had my husband inspect it from a man's point of view, and he said he would have loved it as a teen. Would be a perfect gift for the outdoor kid; that hopefully has common sense too, as to not cut, him or her, self with the sharp edges. It would be great for the big adult kids too, keep with your camping gear, or boat. BUT -- no corkscrew, took away one-star for not having that handy little feature. Has a bottle opener though, and a nice little nylon pouch, and a little cover for the sharp as end. I should have taken a photo of the chop marks it made in the redwood log that I used in the photos.

I purchased this as a gift for a hiking friend, but deemed it too heavy for hiking, so gifting it to my camping friend, whom I am pretty sure will love it. Keep in mind, it will not help you build a cabin in the woods, but you could probably chop some small kindling, hammer in the tent stakes, tighten or loosen a screw, and then crack open a cold one by the river after setting up camp! And, I have a feeling ladies will like this more than big burly lumberjack-type men.

PS: Don't forget to pack the corkscrew!!

It was better than imagined. The only negative was the Philips screw driver small. Perhaps a #1. Most multi tools have a #2 All the tools were sharp and of course if you wish they can be sharper. It seems quite sturdy. The axe edge was clean. The size is small but if you know how to use tools you will be able to find it capable for many uses. If you treat it like a full size tool, watch out. For a little bit over 12 dollars this tool is next to amazing.

Another goodie to save for hubby's birthday. Love this combo mini tool. This is the perfect item to keep in the glove box of a car or because we spend a lot of time outdoors, on our ATV. It is small enough to fit in a tool box or glove box. It is about 7 inches tall and has a really sharp axe and a hammer. Also a knife blade, screwdriver, saw, file, a can opener and a 6 side nut driver. Comes in a handy pouch with a belt loop.

solid construction and effective tools
by S.E. Poza (5 out of 5 stars)

Note: There seem to be reviews of two different versions of this tool. The older version has a claw on the hammer. Mine does not, but forms pliers between the axe and hammer tools (something I did not realize in my video).

This is a multi-purpose "Swiss Army" type tool which combines a hammer, pliers, axe, knife, screwdriver, saw, and bottle opener in one. The size is sufficient to make it easy to use the larger tools (axe and hammer) and it's not too heavy (14 oz.) nor too lightweight as to feel flimsy. I tested the tools with the greatest potential to be ineffective (the saw and axe) and found that they performed well for their size. I am confident that this would allow me to cut off branches or chop small bits of firewood. I think it could progressive cut through even large pieces of wood or rope, but it'd take awhile because the axe head isn't enormous.

The construction of this is very solid. The handle is wood (something I didn't know in my video, but is in the product explanation), but seems to be finished very smoothly (which is why I thought it was resin). The smooth and sealed finish makes me think it's unlikely to crack. The tools move smoothly and are easy to pull out of the handle or put back in. All of the rivets are secure. None of the tools are loose or weak. All of them can take pressure commensurate with the tasks the tool is designed to carry out. I think this is a very nice choice for camping or as an emergency tool to keep in your car (which is my planned use of it).

Note: I received a free sample of this product for my assessment.

Absolutely love this little thing. It has everything I would need to survive. All in a keychain lol. It is stainless steel for durability. It can be used both indoor & outdoor. It has a pliers, hammer, axe, saw, & several other items attached to it. It comes with a little carrying case as well. This will be handy & great to have on all my adventures. You know like camping, hiking, climbing, or the usual adventures that I have most are the ones around the house. I give this my stamp of approval & a thumbs up!
