Worth every penny

I don't know what everyone's gripe is. Its simple physics people. When you fill the balloons and suspend them in air, those rubber band seals can only sustain so much weight until they drop. Water is heavy people. When filling the balloons, place the balloons against the bottom of whatever bin/tub you're going to fill. This will provide enough resistance so the balloons won't fall off prematurely with only 1oz of water. Its not a perfect product and it will not fill ALL of the balloons. But it will fill the majority and its hell of lot better than blowing them up one by one.

This is for everyone that gave a bad review. You are doing it wrong

This is for everyone that gave a bad review. You are doing it wrong!

These balloons are a godsend but you have to fill them up correctly.
1. You need a large bucket or maybe a kiddie pool to hold the balloons as you fill them. Make sure the bucket is big enough to contain the expanded balloons.
2. Fill the bucket halfway with water. Then submerge the balloons in water as you fill. This allows the balloons to grow but not prematurely fall off the stem due to the weight of the water. This is easier done with a water hose than attaching the balloons to the facet.
3. Once the balloons are at a size to your liking, lift the balloons out of the water and the weight of the water in the balloon will cause them to drop off from the stems.

Caveat: Yes some balloons will leak or not fill up all the way, but in a bundle of 30+, you should be able to make 25+ decent size water balloons.

Best brand of multi-fill balloons!
by bbthescienceguy (5 out of 5 stars)
September 21, 2015

We ordered 3 different brands of multi-fill balloons for my daughter's 13th birthday party. I was not confident that the balloons would stay filled until the activities began, so I wanted to test different options. This brand was by far the best of the three that we tried. The balloons filled easily, were easy to shake off, and most importantly, this brand STAYED FILLED for several hours until we started the games. The rubber bands on the other two brands did not keep water in - the balloons were empty within 10 minutes. This brand also comes in a foil package that keeps sunlight from degrading the rubber. And the balloons actually break when they hit people, which was another painful problem with one of the other brands. The one limitation we discovered: you cannot fill the balloons and let them sit overnight. This is probably linked to the fact that the balloons are biodegradable, and once we were aware of this limitation we planned our filling time accordingly. We filled 2,000 water balloons in an hour and had a wonderful party.

saved a lot of tie and was a lot of fun, BUT IT HAS TO BE DONE RIGHT
by BigBlue92 (4 out of 5 stars)

This is a genius idea, saved a lot of tie and was a lot of fun, BUT IT HAS TO BE DONE RIGHT! We used a big bucket for the first one, but it was not big enough. Some balloons were squeezed, and some did not fill well. If they don't fill well, they will not bust when thrown at a person. The second I tried to fill on soft grass, hoping that because they did not bust on a person the grass would not bust them. Wrong. So I stopped the fill and had my sons take them off one at a time when they were full. Third time I went back to the bucket and had my sons take them off one at a time when they were full.

Lessons learned here - use a big tub or ice chest to fill them. Like another poster advised, put some water in it first so these things can float a bit. Be careful to hold the hose straight up, so the fill sticks don't puncture the balloons as they fill. If they fill at uneven rates, crimp your hose and pull off the full ones, then keep going. Fill them well, because they will not bust if not filled - the tighter they are, the easier they break, of course. It is a fine line between filling them up and filling them until they bust. You are going to lose some, but there is no comparison to filling them one by one (where you will also lose some). I am buying this again. Quick fun, just don't expect perfection.

AWESOME PRODUCT

These things are the best!!! I will never do regular water balloons ever again! I use these for our troop camps and day camp events.

Only thing is you don't want to fill them up too soon before you need them. They will gradually leak and shrink. But I have filled them 30-45 minutes before our activity and had maybe 85%-90% of them still in shape for use.

Now if only someone could invent a way to automatically clean up or dissolve the teeny tiny pieces left behind after a water balloon war! :)

This looks like a great idea

This looks like a great idea, but the balloons don't pop once you throw them at your opponent. I thought we had under filled them the first time and that's why they weren't popping, so I made sure we added more water to the second bunch. However, most of the balloons still did not pop on impact and then popped when they hit the ground. I gave the balloons three stars because we still had fun so they served their purpose. I probably won't order them again though and I would definitely not use them with small children since they do not pop on impact as they should.

Easy to fill and use, but leak if you leave them sitting
by Jason and Faith (3 out of 5 stars)

I didn't know how these would work. They worked great to fill up lots of waterballoons very quickly. In one bunch we had one dud. However, you probably still need to tie off the ends of the balloons depending on your use. They are closed with rubberbands. We filled these up in the morning before a party at 3pm when we would need them. They all eventually leaked all the water out in 6 hours. We thankfully only needed about one bunch's worth of balloons so when we realized they were going to leak we saved the other bunches and filled them up right before we needed them. So they work great if you can fill them up and use immediately.

These were a perfect substitute for traditional water balloons. I had no drawbacks like ones I read
by Jim Diamond (5 out of 5 stars)

Oh my God I love these. I needed to fill about 90 water balloons for my class' field day. This is not a task I look forward to each year. I switched to the Tie-Not a couple of years ago and yes, that was much easier (even my 6 year old daughter could tie balloons), but this...this is a whole new level of easy. There are some competing brands and one complaint I had read was that these self tying balloons didn't hold their water for very long. I bought these as a test because I assumed that would be the case. I need to fill my balloons 18+ hours before they are to be used. I typically have a 25-30% breakage rate between when I fill them and when we use them. I found these to be about the same as those I tied myself. The breakage I experience is mostly due to temperature and movement. I put some of the Zuru balloons in my shower and weeks later they're still there, no leaking, no popping. Some of the balloons fail immediately, but that's true of every ordinary water balloon I've used too. I bought more for my own kids to play with. I also read that the self tying balloons were usually smaller. I did not find that to be true either. As long as I filled them in a container full of water they achieved a nice large size.

So much fun for kids- EASY for parents!!

These are a super fun toy for kids of all ages. We have bought many of these and are always a hit. It totally beats sitting there and filling up AND tying water ballon by water ballon one at a time for 45 minutes. With these you attach a bunch of balloons to end of water hose...turn on water and watch all of them fill up and eventually fall off the strings and voila ! You have a bunch of filled water balloons for lots of fun in under a minute!! You don't have to put a knot in them because they do it for you with the rubber bands-MAGIC!

My only problem is the price. We buy a ton of these for family get togethers and I give them as gifts ...wish I could buy even more if they were a little cheaper!! Won't stop me from buying them though!

Kids are spry... Best to tie them to a post*
by R. Welch (4 out of 5 stars)

Water, water everywhere... but not all balloons fill up.

Pro Tip: The best way to make sure your child does not dodge the balloon is to tie him/her to a post*.

Pros: -Fills up easily, within seconds you have a LOT of balloons to throw at your child*.
-Breaks easily, instantly soaking your tied-up child*

Cons: -You will have thousands of balloon particles on your lawn. THOUSANDS. It is difficult to convince children that picking up these balloon particles is a game and is fun.
-Did I mention the latex particles on the lawn?
*I am not advocating for any reason that you tie your child to a post and pelt them with water balloons.
