Huge, out-of-the-box fun. In little more than 1 cubic inch.
Standing at just 35mm, the Polaroid CUBE+ is here to prove that the best things do indeed come in small packages. This tiny action camera supports microSD cards up to 128 GB, and is ready to capture your most exciting moments in full HD video (1440p at 30FPS, 1080p at 30 or 60 FPS, 720p at 30, 60 or 120FPS) or 8-megapixel images. If you’re living a life that’s fit for film, make the CUBE+ your constant companion. It is weatherproof, splashproof and shockproof, and more than capable of handling anything you throw at it. But not only does it look after itself, it looks after you: With a 124° wide-angle lens, it sees the big picture and bears witness to your most outrageous shtick. And with a battery life of up to 107 minutes recording time (1080p at 30 FPS with Wi-Fi turned off), anytime is go time.

Packs a mounting magnet; sticks to any metal surface.
The fun rarely sits around waiting… That’s why the Polaroid CUBE+ features an integrated magnet in its bottom housing. Simply pop the camera onto your helmet, skateboard, bicycle, or any other metal surface, and it’ll stick with you through thick and thin. There’s no need to fiddle with bands, straps or other makeshift apparatuses. What’s more, the CUBE+ adds advanced auto image stabilization to the mix, helping you capture stable video even when you give it a run for its money, while its weatherproof design is perfect for wakeboarding, water skiing or just chillin’ by the pool.

Ok camera, that died quickly.
by James T. (1 out of 5 stars)

Died in under a year, after minimal usage. I liked how versatile this little camera was. I mainly used it for bike rides and some mounted camera shots I wanted to take. I liked the magnetic mount, underneath, which allowed me to mount it creatively.

But, the app was buggy (especially with endless recording mode), and the entire unit died in under a year. Luckily I bought a warranty through Amazon.

I will also say this. Take this page and run it through FakeSpot. The consensus is that a lot of these reviews/reviewers are fake. Caveat emptor!

Five Stars

Very well priced, small and feature rich camera. I had ordered one a year ago, but I accidentally busted the charging port recently, so I purchased another. I received the newest version that was relabeled to be the 'Live Stream' version. According to Amazon, that version is $20 more than this, so I was okay with it. I believe the only change is software anyways.

The camera shoots rather nice HD videos, and really nice time lapse videos (for the price). Pairs well with my phone and transfer of files is reasonably quick. It is only slightly lacking in the picture and slow motion world. Pictures are just okay, compared to the HD video, and the slow motion is lacking the quality of more expensive cameras. However, the image stabilization works amazing. You do lose some viewing angle, but it makes for a shake free video, even on my motorcycle. The App works well in my experience, and there are plenty of features to keep the average Joe happy. The magnet base is extremely nice to have, and actually holds very well. If video is started with the App, and the camera is 90 degrees to the ground, it will orient the image afterwards in the App.

Overall, I would buy it again in a year if I broke it again. I do recommend getting a waterproof case for it so you can shoot underwater.

Very cool

Very happy with this. The video looks great, even in low light. The wifi makes configuring and real time viewing simple. The only minor issues I have is I can't figure out how to turn off the wifi without turning off the device. However that is a really minor issue and doesn't detract from how great this is.

DO NOT waste your money!!

Do NOT buy this product unless you want to waste your money! This was purchased in May 2017 as a birthday gift for my 9 yr old. He used it for a couple of months and then only recently wanted to use it again. It will not charge despite using different chargers that work on other products. The cube is defective and after consulting Polaroid customer service over it they will not do anything because there is only a 1 year warranty. I will never buy another Polaroid product and would advise if you are looking at this type of camera, just pay the extra and get a GoPro or other well known and well made device. I wish we had looked at the reviews before purchasing but here we are. Buyer beware!

Don't waste your money
by Anthony (1 out of 5 stars)

Don't waste your money! Would have been a great camera due to size but it is very limited in options. The first major problem is it shuts off after 3min. It takes one of those minutes to connect to WiFi so now you have 2 min to start it or you have to start the process over again. The video quality is good in perfect light like outdoors but very grainy indoors! Being a cube you can film from different sides but you have to start it from that position or your video will be upside down and it only works on certain video players. Should have been automatic or an option in the app to flip the video before recording. Battery only last around 45min to 1 hour and it takes two to charge. The app is very limited when it comes to options. The WiFi takes too long to connect and has a very short distance. Once you break that distance you have to go through the process of reconnecting it and by then you have missed your shot.

The worst problem is I had to call three times before getting to speak with someone. All three times took over 45 mins to get through and i was the 3rd caller once and the 2nd caller the other two times. The first time I called I got down to the 1st caller after I held for over an hour and it disconnected me. When I called back it said they were closed. You would think someone with the name like Polaroid would have done their homework before launching a product like this. There are companies with no experience in cameras that did a much better job than this on their first camera and this is Polaroids second version of the Cube.

Great video, awful sound, limited accessories. Consider a GoPro.
by Andrew Galloway (3 out of 5 stars)

The video is pretty great, even at the lowest quality.

The microphone quality is atrocious on a motorcycle, even when inside of a closed full-face helmet.

Unfortunately, I purchased this to be used as a motorcycle helmet camera, and the options for mounting hardware are so slim that I have lost countless hours trying to find a solution that fits my needs. I was hoping to chin mount this, since that would not add any wind resistance to the sides or top of my helmet, but on a modular helmet with a chin bar release button (Shoei Neotec), there are ZERO options for this camera or really any other action camera I've seen.

I cut a strip of nickel-plated steel, ground the edges, wrapped it in 3M Friction Tape, and jammed it between the helmet padding so I could mount the Cube+ to it using the camera's magnet. This solution was... okayish. It wouldn't let my visor close properly, and the steel strip was right up against my glasses. I really don't think crashing with that inside of my helmet would leave my eye or skull in very good shape.

So I'm left either side-mounting or top-mounting. Fine. The official Polaroid helmet mount looks sketchy, but I'm ordering it now because I'm out of ideas. I didn't want to go with this because the mount does not swivel at all, meaning that once you stick it on, that's it; no adjustments allowed. Also, the official Polaroid mounts do not take advantage of the camera's magnet, meaning the mounts are inherently less secure than they could be.

I really hope that I can make this work for me, because the video quality is good and I really like how small the device is. If you are a rider though and looking to use this for commuting or vlogging, I would think extra hard about how exactly you are going to get this thing mounted. The time and effort that I have already spent trying to set this up in a manner that works for me far outweighs the cost savings over a GoPro Session. If I had to make this purchase decision again, I would not buy this.

UPDATE: The official Polaroid helmet mount came in just now. It does actually swivel on one axis. No tilt though, which is equally important I think. I've top-mounted it to the helmet. I'm a little displeased with the positioning, but it's the best I could figure out. I'll update, hopefully with pics once I have time.

UPDATE: It's destroyed. I set it on my bike's gas tank and forgot about it before rolling away from a stop. It fell off the bike and I ran it over at about 5 mph. The shell shattered and the circuit board inside is bent to hell. I did not have a case on it. It was okay while it lasted. I'm definitely going to replace it with a GoPro; I was sick of dealing with this camera's faults long before this incident. I'm just sad that my $100 insurance investment is pulverized so soon. I had it for less than a month.

Great video, disappointing battery
by Yardsale (4 out of 5 stars)

Awesome product, fantastic video quality, extremely portable and convenient size. The only negative I've found is the battery life. Usually, seeing about 45 minutes on full charge while connected to phone via Bluetooth. Not long enough to record an entire volleyball match if going to 3 sets. Charge time is long too, over an hour to charge for less than an hour of recording. However, I like the camera enough that I'm considering buying a second and rotating them between sets to offset the battery limitations.

Great product until it fails.

I honestly loved this little guy. The functionality is great and had a lot of fun with it while it worked.

After a month and a half of use the camera just stopped working. It would not turn on and did not respond to charging or anything of the sort.

Eventually it turned on again but after recording 1 video it stopped working again.

unacceptable.

I was really hoping to keep using this camera, but with such poor reliability I am returning this and getting a GoPro Session.

Not so good....
by Kindle Customer (1 out of 5 stars)

Bought mine thourgh the warehouse sale. Tried it out and was not impressed. First issue was the settings. Set it to 720 by 60fps. Everytime I turned it off then on it would reset to 1080 by 30fps. This sucked. When I recharged it using an outlet directly instead of a computer it overheated.

When I checked the filed after recording it wasn't sequential at first. I changed the memory card and it was only sequential at the end of the file, but there was a bunch of number at the beginning that were totally different.

Maybe it was broken before I got it and maybe it wasn't, but the product I received was not good and I sent it back.

Good news was that Amazon responded immediately and resolved this to the best of their ability.

If you do buy it, buy it brand new. You might get a better product than I did

Super clear for 1080 & audio is not a problem
by erickson laserna (4 out of 5 stars)
April 21, 2016

I tested this product today and it's pretty good. I didn't pay attention to the audio as much as I should because I was on my lunch break and walked like 5-6 blocks with this device. But when I checked the video on my phone the audio was ok and decent. It wasn't weak or anything. I set it on 1080 and it was clear as heck (on my phone). I haven't tested viewing videos on my computer yet.

What I have noticed:
*You need to turn on and connect to wifi every time you need to change the setting (720 or 1080)
*When it's on the bottom area where the magnet is gets really warm
*You need to be really close to the device for the wifi to function
*I don't think you need to turn on the app or setup if you are not changing anything, so it'd be fine just turn on the device and record
*I DID NOT HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE AUDIO, IT'S DECENT, NOT WEAK, NOT GREAT...so I'm in the middle when it comes to the audio.

Updating the firmware was a breeze, you just need a strong wifi and MUST insert the memory card first before updating. It won't work otherwise.
