Perfect for jewelry photos!

This light box is perfect and easy to use. I wish I knew about this earlier! I just use my iPhone to shoot quick photos of my jewelry. Very convenient especially when I need to post to social media right away. I just do alittle bit of editing with the "Snapseed" app and the photos come out great! I recommend this box to a girlfriend that owns a sunglass store, now she's hooked on useing it and it's been handy to get quick photos up on the web as well. This box is travel friendly, double +! I've posted a before and after photo to view the quick editing process.

First let me tell ya - I don't normally like leaving reviews unless I'm an expert on the subject. So...by no means am I an expert on this. And perhaps that's the most beautiful thing about this item. No, you don't need to be an expert to get stunning pictures! This setup does all the work for you. After pouring over several different product photography setups, I chose this one for the amazing lighting (the fact that it's the ONLY one on the market with adjustable lighting and boy is it bright!), and the stellar reviews - we can't all be wrong. Trust your gut and choose this one. I hope they make a larger version in the future because I am hooked. Checkout my pics for yourself and good luck on your search!

Great for taking pictures of just about anything!

I make jewelry and in the winter, there just aren't enough hours of daylight in a day. I can't get over how great my pictures come out with this lightbox. There is no terrible shadows because of the positioning of the lights. The ease of using this and putting it together and taking it down is a snap. The magnets, which aren't big, are so strong that it doesn't have any problems staying up. The dimmers on the lights are fantastic. This lightbox is the second one I have ordered and I am so glad to no longer have to shop for the perfect one. If you're undecided about this, just buy it, it's worth every dollar.

I paint miniatures for tabletop gaming, and I previously used the original Foldio. For the most part, it was suitable for one to three figurines, but when I had larger works or a number of models such as a team or squad, the room just wasn't there.

I must say that I honestly liked the battery-powered LED strips on the original Foldio, it allowed me to set up without needing a nearby outlet. Currently, I need to run an extension cord to use it on my dining room table, as the included cord on the AC adapter is not very long at all. I preferred the optional AC adapter. This is the only reason I didn't give this product five stars.

It folds up easily to fit into your bag (though the power supply is a little bulky and stowed separately), sets up easily and quickly, includes several backdrops to get the right contrast for your work, and is affordable. I'd recommend it for anyone who wants to get the best possible snapshots of small items.

I ordered this 15" size for versatility and I ordered 2 extra lights to shoot my smaller pieces. The two light bars just don't reach the back and bottom 1/4 of the box so my backgrounds were not as white as I needed. I put two on the top at the front like it says and one in the middle of the top. I keep the other one loose and use it in my hand to remove shadows where ever they may be. The only reason for the 4 star is the fabric/paper drape gets filthy in about 5 seconds. I shoot a lot of photos for my website. There is no way to clean it. I have switched it upside down but when this end gets dirty I don't know what I am going to do. I already store it draped over a hanger in my closet. I wish it came with a few extra white drapes. I do love the fabric side though as my pearls don't roll!

I think the compact folding nature of this, however I think it's a little expensive for what it is and the fact that it doesn't come preassembled in the box. (ie you have to attach the LED's with double-sided tape (which I don't doubt will eventually give out). The photos one can take are super-average given that it is only lit from one direction, but again, you can fold this up and slide it into your bookshelf and that convenience does make up for its detractors somewhat. Pictures do require some post processing (ie Lightroom + Photoshop) to get your white point correct, but with a little effort, you can pull off some nice shots on small stuff.

This product is amazing! Little on the pricy side, but I do think it is worth its price. Comes with multiple backdrops. The material for them is surprisingly decent. However, they do wrinkle a bit, and is a bit tricky to place in and out of the bag they come in. The led lights are more than enough for the job. The best part is, it folds (hints the name) nice and easily away.

I do LOVE the idea of the foldio and I do use mine frequently. However, there is definitely room for improvement. I do not like that the backgrounds crease as easily as they do. I wish there was a flap that opened up in the top so you could shoot straight down into the box. Also, I feel like the pricetag is a bit high. That being said, the Foldio 2 is very convenient and the lighting is strong. I will continue to use mine.

Not suitable for all small items (especially those that need bright top lighting, above product shots and no shadow from the camera) but I've used it several times for small items that simply require a close up and eye-level view. LED lights are great - and box assembles and packs away easily. I'm keeping it for the very small items and am doing flat lays for the larger ones that can't get a vertical shot without a shadow. Ideally, there'd be a hole in the top for when you do need to get an above area shot.

So, I bought this Foldio2 with the Foldio360 to take pictures and here's my technical review of it.

Pros -
- It looks nice and professional
- Very easy to setup and fold back
- Foldio2 is perfect size to take pictures of small items which are less then 10in.

Cons -
- So far the Foldio360 app only works best with an iPhone.
- Once bluetooth is ON on your iPhone 6 or newer phone then the app connects very easily.
I have one of the best Android phones 'LG V30' and I downloaded the app but it didn't connect to the Foldio360 turntable.
Tried it several times but no luck.
- As per the app, when taking a photo you have the options of 24, 36, 48 frames and the turntable to will rotate to take snapshots but the
app will not stay focused on the item or the object on the turntable. So, the first couple of shots are focused but the rest are not since the item is
then gone 'Out of Focus' as the it rotates. My default camera app can stay focused but not this app.
- The Foldio360 turntable has builtin LED lights but it's only on one side of it, I wish it had the LEDs all around so it would put out enough light
evenly. Having to ability to dim it and brighten it is a plus..
- Also, hope that the new version of this turntable will come out with different color LED's so you can change from an always white to yellow or blue.
This would really help in taking pictures and would require less editing of the pics later.
- More picture editing features within the Foldio360 app would be a huge plus, e.g. removing background, adding effects, chroma key.

Hope this feedback helps in the future so that this item can 5 stars..
