Had this for about two weeks, so I have no idea how durable it will be over the long haul under heavy use. However, I have tested each port individually and together. Every one of them worked as intended. It's great to have access to a printer, an external hard drive, and a scanner simultaneously while copying data from the micro SD card in my cell phone.

I was already panicking when I was personally introduced to this Type-C USB and having no way to connected ANYTHING. Thought to myself "Here we go again....spending who-knows-how-much" for more wires!!". Then I googled what it is that I needed. This sucker popped up as THE BEST so I ordered it and my god, so convenient! This thing is gold to me right now! For anyone with that new MacBook Pro 2016/2017 this thing is a MUST. I recommend it!

Was great when I first got it, seemed super convenient. I've been using it for a month and half now and it stopped working. The USB or MicroSD doesn't show up anymore even if the light is on. And if by some miracle it does read the card if I move my computer very slightly the connection will be lost again. Just buy the apple one

Great adapter, small size, matches Mac's color

Great adapter for my MacBook, matches color of the Mac as described. The housing could be a little more solid; it seems to be a little loose or perhaps needed more adhesive to close up the seams, but not a visible defect; you hear it if you shake it around. Works perfectly and provides the mini-SD reader, as well as the regular size SD reader that I need. Size is small and easy to pack away without adding bulk along with my other accessories, such as headphones, power adapter, etc.

Worked for 4 months of very light duty and now the SD card slot won't read cards. By the time I pay all the shipping to have it returned I might as well purchase something more reliable. Disappointing product.

I am very disappointed in this product. I can't use my WiFi while this is plugged into my MacBook Pro. Half the time it doesn't recognize what is plugged into it. In theory if it all worked right it would be amazing but it just doesn't. Like I said very disappointed!

The (near) perfect addition to your Macbook

I really love this little dongle. It's really sleek and meshes well with my Macbook. Every port works as advertised and the build quality is very nice. My only gripe (and the reason I deducted a star) is that it lacks a power pass through connection, so I have to take the Macbook off power to use it. If it had a USB C power passthrough, I could leave it attached to the Macbook at all times like a mini docking station. Minor inconvenience, but something I hope they remedy in the future.

Does the job but after having it a year a piece of black plastic around the edge broke and it's starting to split. I abandoned the use of the card slot and put a piece of tape around it to keep it together. I don't take it in/our very often, never dropped it or anything either.
